Shawn rolled his eyes at Marco, "I know the how. I was asking about the why." Shawn ran to the side of the truck, stepped on the tire, and vaulted into the bed. "Thanks for letting us know. Where are we going anyway?"

Jake ignored Shawn's whining and answered his question, "We're returning the truck."

Shawn nodded and then was struck by a question, "Uh, what if Cassie's dad got home by the time we make it there?"

Tobias flies in his slow circle above town,not acting to out of place,but keeping his eyes on the truck and any yeerks comming around.

Cassie looked to Shawn at his question then frowned. "Well... we'll work out something. Between Elayne's holograms and some excuse I can work up, we'll be fine." She turned around in her seat and mumbled to Jake, "I hope, anyway. You know, I'd have been so grounded after this, but with the house in the state it's in... I'll be put to work cleaning up anyway."

"Are we all here?" Elayne asked, turning to look around them at the truck, turning the key in the ignition.

Tobias knew what would be asked yet.<Everything is clear from up here guys.>turning his head,readying himself to guide them back to Cassie's place,knowing he could most likely keep himself focused by himself,but he had some doubts.

Shawn accepted Cassie's answer, if she wasn' too worried, he had no place to worry. Shawn looked to Ax who sat blissful and quiet in the bed of the truck, "How're you holding up bud?"

Ax lokked to Shawn, "Much better knowing Marco is no longer behind the wheel."

Shawn couldn't help but laugh at the remark. Ax looked perplexed, "Did I say something humorous?"

Shawn wiped a tear from his eye, "Humorous," Ax nodded his head, "Ax, You said something hilarious!"

((We should wait for Mythica to RP that Raksha jumped in the truck.))

Raksha followed Shawn to the bed and heard everyone explaining things. She listened between Ax and Shawn and tilted her head a bit curiously. "What did he say, Shawn?" she asked, looking as confused as Ax did.

Once everyone was in, Elayne shifted the truck gear into drive and, maintaining her hologram the whole way, headed back towards Cassie's house.

"So... how much longer do you think we'll all make it in school?" Marco wondered aloud, thinking on the test he was likely not going to have a chance to study for tonight. "I mean, I know you said we should keep up appearances of normalcy, Jake, but things are already getting tough. And, let's face it: we haven't exactly come close to ending this war."

<Still clear.>Tobias calls down in a slow and soft way,for some reason be began to feel abit werid latey,like a horrible sickness and he was haveing random flashbacks of his human life but the human was gone in the place of a red-tailed hawk.<No uncle,there is no money involved.>he then said outloud in the other's head.

(Everyone is doing great so far,just need to post more often like we used too.)

((Sorry for the delay guys. I was in Santa Rosa ALL last week for Spring Break. My family kept me really busy.))

Shawn had to catch his breath before explaning to Raksha about Marco's driving escapades in his gorilla morph.

Jake too wondered how long it would take before their lives as Animorphs would gravely jeopardize their covers as regular high schoolers. But as the leader, he couldn't show doubt. He had to stay strong, steady, constant. "We'll manage. No matter what it takes. We don't have any choice. With Chapman at school and Tom at home, we have no margin for error."

After hearing Tobias's freudian slip, she looked to Ax, "Ax, can you ask Tobias how he's doing?" She wanted to ask herself, but knew he couldn't hear her in the cab.

Ax nodded and looked up towards Tobias, <Tobias, are you feeling well? Rachel is concerned about your mental state.>

(Oh sorry buddy,its just normal for me to worry after a few days of non-active replies)

Tobias looks down.<I don't know guys.>he says in a thought-speak for everyone to hear.<...I'm loseing myself to much to stay around you guys without dangering any of you.>he says flying over the truck still,keeping an eye on anyone watching just in case.

<You think I LIKE being a hawk all the time?>he says suddenly.<Always being trapped and alone,never to help anyone.>he says as his emotions were starting to come out now.

Marco sighed in agreement with Jake, although he doubted it would be as easy as he made it sound. When he heard Tobias he sighed again: just more proof that things were coming apart at the seams.

Cassie looked towards the sky, trying to get a glimpse of Tobias although she was on the wrong side of the truck for that. "We can't respond--Ax, can you be our voice?" she asked, biting her lip in worry for her friend.

Elayne glanced in the rearview mirror at them as she drove, but remained silent. It was not her place to speak with the group at this point.

Ax nodded in agreement, <Certainly. Though I will have to resume my human form soon as we are nearing our destination and Elayne will soon be dropping her hologram.>

Jake nodded at Ax's comment, "That's fine, Tobias'll be able to hear us once we're out of the truck and the diesel engine is off."

Ax nodded in understanding, <I will repeat your messages verbatim, if you wish something you say to not be transmited, let me know before you speak the words.>

((Tobias, go ahead and assume that Ax has relayed any messages. That way you don't have to wait for me to post before replying to Marie's posts. Just remember that if one of us signals Ax to not relay certain words, that you shouldn't be able to hear those words. I know hawks have good hearing, but they're in a sound-proofed truck right next to a diesel engine, I doubt you could hear them well enough.))
