the yeerks are parasites: takers and users of other people, creating nothing themselves.

Exactly.

the random sentence refers to the jain allegory for life in which we are walking through a forest of thieves then chased by a tiger, till we fall down a pit, in which there is a snake, we cling onto a root, to avoid being bitten by the snake, and bees are stinging us as we drink honey from the beehive in the root, and the tiger is above us trying to eat us: moral of allegory: life is full of horror and people who try and cling to pleasure (the honey) are stupid.

:eyebrow:

Read this short story collection, I am the only reviewer. But I got the thing about the honey (I think) from a book of world religions.

When you read this anthology, (and rate my review please) you will be reminded of the Chee.

A Bievilerd!( A creature from the planet Ondar. It is described as almost being a living stealth bomber, completely jet black, with several large wings and a huge mouth.)
They sound amazing. And I have a thing for stuff with weird names that are impossible to say. Or maybe a Hobber. They sound so cute and cuddly, even though there isn't a description for them in the entire series or chronicles. But if there is tell me. I got the name but not what it looks like. Anyway, back on the alien train. I would defiantly a Karfit. They sound like an Earth raptor, except cooler.

Last night, I laid back in my bed staring up at the stars, and I thought to myself ... I probably should fix that hole in my roof.

I would be an andalite! they are my favorites!
There are many dangers for an Andalite in human morph. For one thing, there is the constant danger that you will fall off your two legs. The slightest push and you can topple over. But worst by far, is the danger of taste. Taste is the sense that can drive an Andalite mad! Especially is it involves cinnimon buns or chocolate.

I dont see any reason not to be the Ellimist, the closest thing you can get to being a god.  Who would not want to experience power not bound by the laws of the universe? You can know anything about anyone, anywhere, anyhow,... anything. You could create WHATEVER you want, or vice versa. Nothing could hurt you, not even Crayak, who can merely annoy you and destroy whatever you create or enjoy, but you can always undo it, because time is just another toy for the Ellimist. You could wrap time around your little finger.  I dont think any other alien "race" from the book compares to the Ellimist, how could they?

I wouldn't like to be like him. Always all alone, always thinking about how to save this or that, what will happen if you do that... live forever alone, with only this game (against Crayak) to play. Not be able to die... His life must be very sad.

you could change billions of species lives for the better. Who wouldn't want that job. Also I figure if you wanted a friend you could make one iff you wanted to.

Nah, I'm with Dameg.  I always felt sorry for the Ellimist.

If you try and make a friend, they'll eventually die.  In the blink of an eye, in fact, since millions of years is nothing to the Ellimist.  The guy is alone.  As completely alone as it is possible to be.

And he couldn't make an immortal friend, either, I think, because that would almost certainly break the rules of Crayak's game.  And if their game is ever lost, they would be forced to go back to fighting for the universe again, destroying it in the process.  Either that or start a new game, possibly even a worse one.

For the same reason, the Ellimist can't just go around and help everyone that he sees fit.  He is bound by the rules of the game.

It might be fun, for a while.  Yeah, you would be basically all-powerful.  But then you might start to get attached to the races you were trying to help, because you have nothing else, and then one after the other they would each die (no species lives forever), and there'd be nothing you could do about it.  I'd go insane from that.  I think anybody would.

Dino got it. He can't even make a friend, and I think he doesn't want... How can you give this life to somebody else when you know how it's terrible? And a friend today, maybe an enemy tomorrow...
Imagine you're the only Human on Earth. No animal except insects. You see the bees, the ants, the spiders around you, you try to help them, you can even talk with them if you want, but they die after few days.
We are the ants he's trying to help...

I don't know if that exactly matters. If anyone remembers from the Ellimist Chronicles, he is actually a sort of multitude - composed of all the individuals formerly controlled by father. Still, the fact that one can never meet new people, especially ones that aren't inside your mind, seems quite disheartening.

To the topic, as long as I was morph-capable, I wouldn't mind any of the major races aside from Taxxon or Yeerk, but I would prefer Andalite or Ketran.

I also feel bad for the guy because so many people continuously misspell his "name". ;D

I still stick by my want to be a trained Chee.

As a chee, you never get to have sex.
Even the Ellimist gets to have sex sometimes.

No.

Just... No. That brought back memories of Demolition Man, making it even worse. Ugh.
