Here's my opinion:

If youre a christian and believe in God, you know that he created everything and everyone.

A being with this power and understanding of things should know that a forum posting 'god' isn't blasphemy right? It's no big deal, having God under your name isn't an insult to him or anyone.

Also, I didn't put an 'I don't care' because if you don't care you don't really to worry about it do you :P
BUT! We are open to suggestions, Goom suggested Elite and Uber, both of which I like.

I don't mind God. but if come up with a really cool title I wouldn't mind like "Pantheon" even thought that wouldn't really make sense. haha

Is there any possibility of ever adding new ranks?  Because I like "Elite," but I also want to keep "God" (mainly because I aspire to be one someday  :D)

Maybe Elite could be the rank right underneath God, if it's possible and/or a good idea to add new ranks?  I ask if it's a good idea, mainly because it occurs to me that we have quite a good number of ranks already, so I don't know if adding more would make things too messy.  :-\

IMO, if people become a God rank, they can ask for a new rank to be created just for them (Estelore is an example). I'm pretty sure, since Richard did it for some one, he can do it for someone else.

True, but it could become an issue once more and more people get over 5000 posts.

I'm not opposed to adding new ranks but the real issue is the religious thing.

Have there been people complaining? because I have not seen a thread about it in a LONG time! lol. If people are complaining (must be by PM), then that's definately a reason to change it. But if some one just brings back the issue from back when we first argued about it, for the sake of arguing it, then I don't see a reason.

I think that changing it to Elite would be a great idea. That way we can be sure that the ranking does not offend anyone.

It doesn't bother me one bit, but I'm giving a very qualified "no."

If others think it should be changed, I am not against changing it. I myself, however, do not mind God at all.

i personally am not offended by the title 'god', but if there's a better title out there and it won't offend anybody, i'm all for it. :)

i don't think that should be needed. if we just create a completely different title, we won't have a ton of different ranks to manage.
