Funniest Moments in TV show or Books
« on: July 25, 2009, 02:43:00 PM »
I think the funniest moment was from the books. I'm not so sure which one, but it was narrated by Ax. It was something like this:

Quote
I went into the mall without some of my artificial skin on. I figured that it was the best choice to follow the TV show, The Young and the Restless. Marco came by, and said, "Ax, Ax. Don't go anywhere without a shirt on, ok?" I said, "Why? The humans from The Young and the Restless don't have this artificial skin on, and I am young. And occasionally restless."

Have your say here.

The funniest moment in the books was when Ax followed Jake and Marco to the mall for the first time and run away from them to eat everything he could find.

And the funiest moment in the TV show was when Jake ate a snail in front of Tom and Visser 2

I've heard that one or two times but never seen it, which episode was it from? I wanna see it!
Plus, funniest moment from the book was... um... *consults Best Animorphs Quotes list* okay, three contestants:

“"Booga booga booga boooga!"
"Whaaaa?!"
I sat up, spun around, twisting myself up in my sheets, then promptly fell out of my bed.
Marco laughed so hard he started crying.
"How did you get here?" I demanded. Then, "You're alive?"
"No, I am the ghost of Marco. Fear me!"

That was the one that started the whole list

The whole Dolphin Rodeo thing *evil grin* is one of my favourites too
or the joke Marco tries to tell in #25, on the Blade Ship, where everyone keeps interrupting.
"Say Rachel, I've got a joke for you."
"No you don't."

And, in the TV series, um... I don't know :)

I see a little silhouette of a man SCARAMOUCH SCARAMOUCH will you do the fandango?
You can laugh or you can cry. Personally? I do both. At the same time.
Animorphs: The first 10 were light, funny, still innocent. But slowly, it got darker, more moral, passionate and mature. And then it was messy, bloody. It was chaos. It was the end.

Hmm let's see...
The part in #16 when Rachel is in grizzly morph mopping a carpeted floor to distract those people.
In #5 when they tell Ax to throw away his coffee cup and he throws it and hits some guy in the head.
The whole scene in #27 when Erek's hologram freezes up and Rachel buys him designer underwear and Marco comes in with a "King Kong vs. Gudzilla" sandwich board and he packs a "trendily dressed Bill Clinton" out of the mall (haha I'll never forget that part).
I love Ax's "I am young, I am occasionally restless" line, too haha.

The groveling scene in #24 is famous.

#26 was also a really funny book, which was nice because it balanced out the seriousness of it. (That's definitely one of the top 5 best books.) Guide's personality, the design of the city, the SHOPPER ISKOORT ("my homeland!"), the Fran Drescher bit, A+

I also loved the scene in #45 when Marco calls the police about the "real-live space alien!"

Nobody has mentioned the scene in #9 when Cassie sprays Visser 3 as a skunk and they tell him to bathe himself in grape juice.

I also liked in Megamorphs #2 when they were talking about plutonium and Ax goes "Fusion? Andalites use them in children's toys. You know, to make the little dolls speak and such."

my favourite was in number 49, when ax is harrasing tobias's mother at the supermarket
"i have placed these packages into the wrong place undoing hours of underpaid labour"
RAFDating Marie. Jealous?

And then Buffy staked Edward. The End

Basically I put everyone who looks like a good guy in Gryffindor and everyone who looks like a bad guy in Slytherin. The rest can go wherever the hell they want, I don't care.

Yeah, that was ridiculously funny for late in the series. The last funny book was #42.

I actually think the Helmacrons are hilarious. During last year's re-read I had completely forgot about them and once I got to #24 I laughed so hard I cried.

"What's your name?"
"What name?"
"You don't have one? I think I'll just call you Wuss."

I also thought it was funny when Elfangor asked Loren what those "white cyllinders" were.

Also, in The Leader Episode 14, I thought i twas funny when Marco says, " This it too big for me. I'm tired of saving the world. We are kids. We are supposed to goof off and have fun. I want to deal like normal problems like zits. I want zits. Not really, but you know."

that's because I thought that was one of the series' saddest
I go off topic on purpose.
