In terms of companionship and a good length lifespan I'd pick elephant. They're very social, live almost as long as humans do, and are big enough to take care of most predators that want to eat them(especially if there was human intelligence behind the wheel). However, having to worry about poachers or certain farmers in countries that don't want elephants near their gardens or crops could be a problem.

For a non-earth animal, i'd say an Andalite or perhaps a Yeerk...though if I were a Yeerk, I would only want to take voluntary hosts. Though i'm not sure i'd want to be stuck working under someone like Visser Three though >.<

I'd like to be a horse.  They're kinda cool.   :P  Or an Andalite, that'd be amazing!

This is a bit of a cliche but a dog or cat. I'd be something that would be around people alot easier and taken care of. (I'm really thinking practicly here). Maybe even a parrot I could insult people and get away with it that would be sweet.

Non Earth Animal: Andalite
Earth Animal: Some kind of bird that lives a long time

Also being trapped as another human wouldn't be too hard  :P but that wouldn't be much fun, You have a chance of running into your
double  :-\

I would get stuck in an animal that would have humans pamper you for the rest of your life.

Like a Giant Panda, Red Panda, etc, etc, etc.

Don't have to worry about predator or anything. That's just me.

I have mentioned this before -- in one of my first posts on RAF -- but if I became a nothlit, I'd be a male Siberian tiger.  Male simply because I'm male.  I already feel a somewhat spiritual connection to the species, so that would be natural choice for me.

I would probably live in the wild, though, if I could, I probably be someplace where my family (consisting only of my elder sister, mother, aunt, and neice at this point) can visit me easily. . . . Of course, I would honestly miss listening to Weird Al. . . .

. . . Sorry, I just had an image of my neice riding my feline back. *chuckles*

Back to the topic.  The only other option I would consider would be an owl.  I confess, there would be some temptation to become a Yeerk nothlit, but I don't think I would even consider that.  Especially considering the other two options.

And I did notice others mentioning tigers too.  Hawks, also.  Perhaps a poll to go with this thread . . .

If you were a nothlit, what animal would you be stuck as? If you had a power to morph again after a long time from being stuck, would you live the rest of your life as a human forever or be able to morph whil living as a nothlit?

Considering that we're not fighting a war against the Yeerks, I would want to spend the rest of my life as a panda. Yup, I'm a fan of pandas too. :) Other than how cute they are, pandas get the best treatment in the animal kingdom. All the pandas do. They get to just lounge around and play, sleep, eat whenever they want, not worrying about natural predators. This goes for pretty much both wild and zoo pandas, though I think it's getting harder for wild pandas to find bamboo shoots to eat.

If I had to think about fighting the Yeerks, though, I'd rather be stuck as something dangerous so I can help fight, but also a common animal so I don't stand out to Controllers. Tobias's red-tailed hawk is actually a great choice, since it fits into the nearby habitat, even if it's not the greatest animal for fighting.

Still, I wouldn't be able to give up being human, not matter what nothlit perks there are.
