"Hmm, horrble way to die, even for an Imperial." Dara remarks you can tell that he doesn't think highly of  Imperials or Andalites.

"Too slow. Sorry Temrash." Jagill said.

"Too bad. Judging from Terenia's expressions, I think this will hurt her in the long run." Temrash said. "She could have been useful to me as a voluntary host, if she was willing to give up the Empire. Come Dara. Let's go to my ship and we'll start on your problem."

He left the body to be buried by someone else, feeling a bit disappointed that Jagill wasn't quick enough. Or was it he who was too slow giving the order? The outcome had been the same. Jagill made no apology for shoving Terenia, and followed Temrash towards his ship.

The four Beta Squaders stood quietly and respectfully behind the others, until Temrash walked off. They saw Asda quickly answer the call for a doctor - as should be expected from any decent medical worker - but could not see the door from where they stood. They may have gone to their Sergeant had they seen him, but they also did not intend to leave sight of Desmond, regardless of whether he was a prisoner or not.

Rayker stepped back as the doctor arrived, though he left his bag and can of coagulant spray within reach. It was a little odd watching how quick she worked with three arms. This place should be a tourist attraction...

Dara gave a glance at the bloody mess and turned away. He'd seen enough of those as one of Visser Three's body guards. He'd caused too many. He followed Temrash wondering how much more it would take to stop the Empire.

As Mar is explaining his wishes to Salem, his eye color suddenly flashes red. It's very weird and lasts barely a second. Mar himself probably hasn't noticed it happening on a number of occasions. For some reason though, this sensation worries him. Mar slowly and uneasily stands up from his position.

"I believe that...someone has died. Someone I don't know. There will probably be a reaper," Mar says with his eyes on Salem. His expression is distant. Even weirder, he seems almost sober. "But an...infuriating person I have met let loose a torrent of pain as a result. This may be relevant. I should see what happened. Hopefully something as pointless as that person's life."

Mar glances at the doors to the Bar. "Shall we discuss your proposition outside?"

Tora involuntarily blanches at the grim scene that plays out just outside the Skimmer. She does not have the clearest view through the narrow doorway, but it is evident what has happened, particularly when blood is flung into the air. It is several moments after Terenia demorphs that Tora finally turns to Mike. "I do not feel comfortable with her joining us," she murmurs, eyes narrowing as she watches him.

Salem narrowed his eyes at Mar's assertion that someone had just died, but he showed no other signs of surprise, either at the information or at Mar's sudden change in demeanor. He was starting to wonder, however, what he was getting himself into, talking to Mar. He nodded. "Sure, I could go for a walk. You comin'?" he asked Al.

"You kidding me? My luck's just about to get better. I can feel it," Al replied, losing a few more chips to Jackson.

"Suit yourself," Salem said, and made for the door, carefully stepping around Asda and Hunter. As he stepped through the doorway, he turned back to Mar. "I'm sure I can find something you'd like. And I wouldn't complain if you felt like throwing in more than just a flying lesson," he said with a smirk. "This... base mana you mentioned. What would giving you some of that entail?"

Terenia makes it a good ten feet or so, her knees growing weaker as she puts distance between herself and her actions. For once it is quiet in her head; Efaen has been stunned into silence. As long as they had been together, Efaen had never witnessed Terenia outright murder someone.

It is at about that point that the guilt hits Terenia in the back like a sledgehammer. She loses her balance and falls to her knees, gasping as the sheer force of the pain pulls her breath from her. Fingers clench at the dirt uselessly and she retches, but there is nothing to throw up in her newly morphed form.

"Oh God..." she manages to whisper. Squeezing her eyes shut she forces herself to inhale deeply, working the guilt like bricks within her mind, using it to build an inpenetrable wall between herself and the world.

Jackson frowned at his hand. He was pretty sure a 'straight' was better than a 'flush' but he couldn't quite be sure if he remembered right. He looked at his chips, and back at his cards. He didn't want to ask, of course. "I .... fold." he said.

Rayker stepped outside after Salem, just to give a final remark such as "It was nice chatting." or something like that. He never did, though, because he saw the other four members of his team standing within feet of Desmond. Alive. And yet they stood there... Surely Desmond was aware of them... Did he think they were still his crew members? Had his sensors really not noticed their action after he'd abandoned them? Or when they boarded an enemy ship? Rayker suddenly was not in the mood for Poker. He pulled the hood over his head and activated the camo-suit, shimmering out of existence.

Temrash addressed the soldiers following him. "I will be out of this body shortly. When we enter my ship I will require speaking in Jagill's body to communicate to my people. At that time you may have Desmond. If you'd like, I can give him a strong sedative before releasing him. I would like to ask that you allow Gaz and her friends to witness his execution."

They made it to the ship, and he noticed the damage, but the inside was fairly orderly. "We cleaned." Jagill said.

"Good. Thank you, Jagill. I'll need to get a repair crew over here to fix the ship before it can fly again."

He waited for the soldier's answer about sedating him or not before starting to disengage.

"Nothing, really," Mar mutters in a very offhand way. He's still attempting to sense the outside area around him and find out what happened. Ossanlin's strong, bright aura is present, and he seems to be in little danger. There are also two reapers on the Bar itself, indicating that there has been more than one death. He seems to have noticed one rather than the other because Terenia is close to it. And Terenia is experiencing a tantalizing, delicious sort of despair. He bares his fangs involuntarily before he realizes he should be acting normal and giving some kind of explanation to Salem. Yes, yes. That's right.

"A mana base is merely the energy that sustains your personal soul. It could technically be formed into a new person, but that hasn't been done in a very long time. You could call it a buffer or a source of healing. If I took it from you..." Mar shrugs, as if it really doesn't matter. "...well, it would hurt. And you might feel a bit...vulnerable mentally. But otherwise you should come out relatively unscathed. A brief snack is really the only thing I could equate with a flight lesson."

"Kevlin. He's very trustworthy. We can start looking for Del Kyree when he comes. I'll also have Visser 25 send Kyro Tyren here. If you can remember anything about Del's last whereabouts, it would help us."

Carson stepped forward. What he was going to say seemed cruel, but it was the only proper way.

"No. No sedatives. We will restrain him, and he'll be conscious when - "

"One move and you can say goodbye to your skull." Rayker quickly pulled out his gun and held it to the back of Desmond's head. In the same motion, he reached around to hold him across the chest, pulling him back into the gun's barrel. His concussion-gun whined as he primed it, set on full power. Rayker was still invisible, though his gun wasn't when out of it's holster. It was all he could do to blast his brains out right now. Why hadn't the others already seized him? Why were they talking with him, casually? There had to be a reason for this, but what, he couldn't imagine. Seeing his companions calm and collected within five feet of their enemy was disconcerting, but he wasn't jumpy, tense, or bothered in the least about holding a gun at their enemies head. It wasn't murder. Revenge, maybe, but not murder.

Dara reached put and grabbed the gun that had appeared out of nowhere. He pushed it away from Temrash's head. "Whoever you are show yourself."
