Mike grins.  "Yeah, reckon the slimy little bloke takes after me a bit, dunn'e?  We've been together a long time.  God, it's been nearly ten years now.  We've been through quite a lot together."

He rubs at his arm.  Then he smiles.  "Reckon he'll be cross if we have a go again?"  He winks at Terenia.

"Yeah...probably" Terenia says, looking at the ground to avoid blushing again. She realizes that she doesn't really know much about Mike at all. Just that he is British, obviously, and that he and Corliss have been together for quite some time. She wonders briefly how old he is, but dismisses the thought. It was unsettling enough when she learned that Corliss had been alive in the sixties, when her parents were children.

"So...were you and Corliss...like this?" She asks, struggling for conversation that is slightly less awkward, "I mean, when you met. Were you always voluntary? Was he always fighting the Empire?"

(On my phone)

Mike shakes his head.

"No," he says, reminiscing.  "No, we weren't always mates.  He was quite the authority when we first met.  It took about a year for us to become mildly agreeable, and even then..." He frowns.  "It was hard.  He left behind a lot.  His career.  His whole life....for me.  And his brothers."

"Do you mind me asking...how long have you...have you been...like this?"  He bites his lip.

Terenia laughs, "Like what? A crazy human stuck in a Yeerk stuck in an Andalite? Or just the crazy part?" Her laughter fades slightly as he considers his question seriously, "I've been in this body...the Yeerk body...for about five and a half years, I would guess. Maybe more. It's kind of hard to say. Everyone goes by a different calendar and I can't really keep up. I've had Efaen for most of that. My first host only lasted a short while. We, ah...ceased to see eye to eye, and it was better for us to part ways. I didn't want to destroy our friendship," She grins wryly, as though that was supposed to be a not-particularly-funny joke.

Mar nods toward Salem quietly. "Yes, that is why I can fly. Although I have no idea why you humans make such a big deal out of it. It is really one of the easier magic skills to perform. As for who I am..."

Mar moans, taking another sip of his drink. He looks as if this is really the last thing he wants to talk about. "...honestly I don't know anymore. I no longer understand half of my memories and cannot use any power that would draw from the body mass I don't have. I have also been steadily...changing as a result of limited knowledge and volatile emotions. But..."

Mar's expression gets slightly more cold, though there's a hint of sadness. "...I know that if the situation demanded it, I would lose my newfound humanity in an instant. The question is whether I want to keep this state of mind or not."

"Ah," says Mike.  "Yes, these Yeerks...they've...well they've certainly made things interesting."  He sighs.  "I was seven'een when Corliss and I  first...met.  Barely out of school."

Mentally Terenia does the math, and the age that she comes up with for Mike is a lot more reasonable than what she has come up with for Corliss. This relaxes her somewhat, although she isn't entirely sure why it matters at all. Their reality is so far human norms that something as silly as liking someone older than yourself should seem trite. Still, somehow it matters.

"I can't hate them too much," Terenia says, "I mean, if it weren't for the Yeerks I probably would be working some crappy job, barely making ends meet. Maybe trying to put myself through college, if I saw the need for it. Scrubbing tables and begging for tips. Somehow this hellhole seems a bit more glamorous."

Jagill decided it was probably time to go back to Temrash. No one really needed him, and Dara wanted to get his work done as soon as possible. He walked back to the Pride and found Temrash talking to one of the Humans. Somehow this made him a bit nervous, as he had hoped no one would bother Temrash while he was gone.

Dara asked Temrash how the knowledge transfer was going. He tried to sound respectful but it was obvious that he was impatient.

"I guess what I've done should be good enough. I've already typed up what I feel is most important, and some small details may not be that important. what do you say we find somewhere to dump this guy? Morgan asked everyone to go outside, and since this is gaz's ship we can ask her. Let's go." He said, and made his way to the exit. He didn't want to go all the way out to where they were burying Fletcher, but he could catch Gaz on her way back.

Ossanlin huffs out a frustrated breath at Myitt.  She was being so...infuriating.  First he speaks up for ending Tamora, after all she's been much more trouble than she's worth, and a severe security risk besides...and Myitt dresses him down for even thinking of doing so.  And when he spares Tamora's life for Myitt, she stalks off as if she has nothing to do with it.  He huffs again, tightening his grip on Tamora.

<Just one more stop then Tamora.  Looks like you might get to leave without consequence yet again...it's more than you deserve.>  Ossanlin grunts as he attempts to lift Tamora onto his shoulder since she's obviously incapable of walking.

Ossanlin sends out a wide-range private thought-speech at the same time directed at Terenia.  <<Terenia, I need to speak with you.  Where are you?  There is a matter of some importance that you need to take part in.>>

Mike laughs.  "Yeah, gotta be grateful for some things, I suppose," he says.  "Though I really would've liked to go to university.  Guess this whole experience has been an education in itself."

---

Myitt steps out into the parking lot, looking around.  She considers trying to find Corliss.  Looking back, she bites her lip, feeling a bit guilty about her altercation with Ossanlin.

As Hunter, a notorious bounty hunter from Pern made the jump from Z-Space to the area of space nearby an extremely familiar forested moon.
"Ok," he said to himself "Thats either the Forest Moon of Endor, or the Galaxy's Edge Space Bar."

Guiding the claw looking space ship towards the docking area, he toggled the auto-landing sequence so he could brace himself for the shock of being on such a bright planet after so long.

The nano-window phasing out, Hunter carefuly removed his bloody and bruised form from the confines of the small, claustrophobic ****pit. Staggering towards the bar, he slams the door open, clutching his side as he collapses in the doorway.

As he falls to the ground, his trenchcoat flutters open and a bloodstained grey shirt is visible.

((OOC: Man i missed this place! ive got a HUGE thing planned for Hunter... Dont worry, he'll survive, ive just got a huge backstory worked up that'll explain his long absence))

"Stay here." John said to me as he ran down the the Traveler and kicked into Z-space. Both ships shook but eventually went into Z-space when we came out we spiraled around the bar and settled into orbit.

((Sorry couldn't find your post! XS))

Just as the Kqorrians formed a Drad'lth formation to finish us off, John initiated his Z-space translator, and we shook. We shook so violently, the Kqorrian Drad'lth maneuver passed right by our Starboard quarter. Eventually we were able to translate to z-space. When We came out, the Sere –– Zetylon was badly damaged. I would have to remain here for repairs. I would have to have that freighter bring some supplies. We went into orbit. I asked John and 'Bear' if they wanted to take the transporter down. Not everyone is comfortable with their atoms and memories being spliced into a million pieces and reassembled on the ground,no matter how elementary the process was...
