"Thank you. Jagil, I will be waiting by the ship." With that Dara walked off in the direction of Temrashes ship. He nodded as he passed Ossanlin.

"No, a path as we walked through.  The ship is fine," Tara replies.  "Keshin...is alive.  He was cornered and we let him go, so..."  She shrugs.  "He left."

"Temrash not going to be happy you let bounty hunter go. He say many things and you are wrong and he is right and...stuff. He would say it better than me. But I go to ship now." He said, and headed down the path after Dara.

Dara stopped by the ship and remembered the last time he had seen the bug fighter when he had set a random coordiante in on one and crash landed it in the Bar. "Jagill, I just want to thank you for everything."

"We at least want to be away from the evil yeerks. Maybe me and my parents will join the rebellion. Who knows?" Dara said. "Should we contact this Kevlin Temrash was talking about?"

"Well, I can't. He not listen to me. Visser 25 not listen to me about Kyro either. Wait until Temrash back." He said as they got to the ship. some damage was noticable, which wasn't surprising since it had just been in two battles. He opened the hatch of the arrowhead shaped vessel to take a look inside of it.

Dara followed Jagill in silence as he thought about what he was about to do. He was about to give himself over to a Yeerk again to save his parents. He hope this Yeerk wasn't mean and haughty like his last one.

Silver winced when Morgan did and helped ease him into a better position. She conjured up a soft pillow for him to lean on against the wall. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be, Father. Tell me." She said gently and leaned on the all with her head on his arm.

Ossanlin watches the interchange impassively, feeling a bit awkward being around two actual Hork-Bajir while in his current body.  <Yes, I see the problem.  It is...a difficult decision.  I made a promise to her...that if she ever attempted to hurt any of my friends again...well I'm sure you can see that in her memories.  I'm inclined to follow through, except I'd be worried about the damage to Terenia.  It really is too bad they don't get along...Terenia could infest Tamora...but I suppose that might not work either.  I'm afraid my experience with dealing with psychologically damaged or disturbed humans is rather limited...>

"So, you were telling me about how your little gang met," Salem said to Jackson and Rayker. "I'll just watch for a bit. Too many card combinations to memorize," he said to Al. He then turned around in his chair and narrowed his eyes at Mar. "Maybe," he said levelly, "you should tell your friends not to get themselves killed around me. This is a dangerous place." He lightened a bit, cracking a slight smile. "I can promise that I will try not to bring any more trouble on the Andalite, though. He's been through enough because of me. I didn't catch your name"

Al shrugged when Salem decided to sit a few hands out and dealt the cards. "Let's just play a few practice hands," he said. "Once we know what we're doing we'll bet something."

Terenia's face flushes bright red, and she is glad that her back is to Mike. "No!" she exclaims so loudly that even she jumps, "I mean...I don't think...I don't mind..." she takes a deep breatha and turns around slowly. The expression on her face is conflicted.

"I don't mind at all," she finally manages to squeak out in a relatively stable tone, "I just...I figured that you, being the...the third wheel and all, so to speak. I mean, it's your body, right? And you and Corliss are close, but it would be strange if..." she trails off, not really sure what her point is, but suddenly aware that she is likely making a fool of herself.

<I didn't hurt you!> Tamora protests silently to Ossanlin, <He said that if I hurt any of his friends, then he'd kill me. I just knocked you out. I didn't hurt you. I could have killed you, easily. And I didn't.>

Morgan settled down and took a deep breath. "It's hard having to tell you this, but you deserve to know. Desmond is...your mother's father. Your mother was brought up in a very different social world than I was. I was the son of a space trader and she...well...I was delivering some cargo to Kojama Prime, one of the Inner Planets. That's where we met. We were married in secret and moved to Olaupa III, she was more than willing to take up a different life. Eventually Desmond found out, he didn't approve at all and that's putting it nicely. He had wanted her to marry Caven; believed he was much more worthy. He disowned her, made up the false charges against me and was responsible for seeing I was admitted to their Program."

After sharing the whole story, Morgan leaned his head against the wall for a momentary rest.

Mar takes another sip of his drink and frowns. It occurs to him that he has no idea what his real name is. There appear to be too many conflicting answers to that question. Several of the "names" listed in his head aren't even really names: they just appear to describe what it is he does. As if he were a concept rather than a person. But, he does have a sort of...explanation.

"Well..." Mar shrugs. "...to be honest I have no idea. I've been calling myself Mar all this time because when I first met the current incarnation of my Precious, I used someone else's middle name as my name. But..."

Mar places his hand lightly on Salem's shoulder and attempts to transmit him a series of telepathic images and concepts. Strange writhing black creatures, moaning and screaming of a horrific kind, the really uneasy feeling you get around the alien, magical unknown. "...this appears to be my actual name. Whatever that's supposed to mean."

Vogefak
––––––––

John declined my offer for a Sol-claw glove. He had a particle beam. Perfect. I set mine to Taser setting –– Tachyon Amplification through Stimulated Emission of Radiation. ERA-Pads were not going to be of any help.

We raced down the corridor. I'd always felt an air of preeminence when I was on this ship. Supremacy, Distinction. Probably because I was in command. Now, I was the lowest on the ship. Now I felt ineffectual, impotent. I would never take my role for granted again.

We ran into one of my officers: Soldier Xasedek. "Captain!? Fenebok said you were dead!!!"

I ran past him, not caring to stop, and yelled back, "Fenebok has said many things!"

We stopped at the door to the bridge.

"This is the door," I told John, "Are you sure you would not prefer to leave your dog……Bear? In the corridor?"

––––––––
Fenebok
––––––––

I delved into the bridge armory store. I stocked up on ERA-Pads. I pulled out two Sol-Claw gloves on high yield Phase'r cannon setting.

They were coming, they'd be here soon. I was sure. WHERE ELSE WOULD THEY BE!? But they were taking so long. I had made Vogefak's DNA imprint invalid to the computer. He could neither receive weapons from an armory cache. He should've been here by now.

And then, all at once, the door to the bridge was shoved open. Vogefak burst through...
