Myitt, unhearing and only barely feeling the jostling Tara is undergoing, tries everything she can to try and rouse the human body she is attached to. She curses silently that she cannot reply to Tora.
<Wake up,> she urges her host, terror spiking through her own body while Tara is blissfully calm. <Wake up, damn it!> But her limbs are unresponsive.

Corliss smiles at Terenia, squeezing her hand back briefly. He glances at the sound of Dracon fire, frowning. Surely Myitt was back with Ossanlin? Probably just another one of many fights that this place seemed to attract.
He is about to say something about investigating, anyway, but Tora's voice reverberates in his head. Corliss pulls out his comm link.
"Hello, Tora," he says. "Yes, by all means, nothing is keeping you here. I'm sure I'll see you at the base. We might even have a new arrival, the human-Yeerk nothlit girl, Terenia." He looks over at Terenia and winks conspiratorily. "It's...a long story. I'll try to clear it with Reven when I get the chance. Fly safe, all right?"
To Terenia he adds, clearing his throat, "You know, I was going to feed. I don't suppose you'd accompany me to my ship so that Reven can meet you, so to speak? I'll contact him and then take a bit of a swim."
Without waiting for an answer he starts walking off toward the woods where the Skimmer is parked, forgetting about the sound of Dracon fire entirely.
