Tora gives Myitt a thin-lipped smile and immediately returns her attention to the interior of the ship, as if expecting Keshin to pop out of nowhere with a gun and a hungry grin. She does not even give Al a second glance, keeping her Dracon raised as she takes another step into the ship. "You are from a galaxy in which you are of great value," she answers her friend quietly. "I do not like the idea of answering to your brothers in the event you were hurt, so please remain behind me."

"Yeah," Elayne nods to Mar. "I hope it doesn't come to that, too. But Myitt's tough, and I'm guessing Corliss has caught up with her by now. She'll be fine," she says with a bit more certainty than she feels. She steps onto the ramp and inside her ship, flicking a switch to activate the interior lighting. The place is just as much of a mess as she had imagined it would be, although it gives it an air of untidy homeyness, rather than one of total disarray.

"Ah?  And what should I tell Reven if you get shot?" Myitt snaps back at Tora over her shoulder, smiling.  "Not to mention how bad I'd feel."  She glances back at Al, expectantly.

Tora gives a short laugh, although it sounds more like a sigh than any kind of expression of happiness. "You're more important," she murmurs, although her cheeks flush a little. Now is not the time to be thinking about... about this, she berates herself, taking another cautious step forward.

Alic stood firmly and now focused all four eyes on Salem. For a moment she saw him hesitate, but maybe she was mistaken. He was not someone to trust either way.
<We have no ties.> Not that she could think of anyway. It wasn't too often she had been around other Andalites recently, the few she had been around were at the bar. She didn't care to mention she had only spent less than half of her life on the Homeworld. It wasn't any of his business anyway.

<<Myitt. Would you like me to stand guard out here? Or do you need a couple extra sets of eyes with you?>>

Myitt nods at Alic through the hatchway, pointing at her, and then pointing at Ossanlin, and finally jabbing a thumb at Salem.

Alic looks back at Myitt and smiles with her eyes. <Gotcha.> She kept the dracon in hand, just a couple feet away from Salem. It was on a low setting, and she kept it aimed at him. If that were to fail, since her aim would probably just put a hole in something not even close to him, he was still within reach of her tailblade.
<I suggest you just sit here for a little while.>

Ossanlin limbers his Shredder a bit more.  <I know of no human envoys to the Homeworld.  The last I heard, the Electorate didn't give a tail-swipe about Earth.  And they certainly wouldn't listen for advice from a human, being typical examples of our species.  And you have the audacity to call my attempted murder an accident?  I'm quite certain that one of Keshin's targets is myself...I wonder if you really would've helped me if the others hadn't been around...>

Keshin lays back against the wall of the ship and tries to nail Al's usual playful smirk. He makes a gesture, as if to say something like, "Come on in, boys. The water's fine in here." He also listens to what Ossanlin said and can't help but roll his eyes. <He really thinks that was intentional? That'd be one perfectly timed attempted murder. That, and Salem really has no reason at all to help us complete a job. >

<Good thing he doesn' seem to remember us tumblin' onto the ship like idgits.>

<Yeah, that's kind of weird. Ossanlin is probably the only person with completely contradictory evidence and he's not using it against us. Then again we don't appear to actually be here, so maybe he thinks he was delirious. Lucky us.>

Mar glances around the inside of Elayne's ship and grins. "My sweet Elayne is so very cute, though apparently not so good at housekeeping. I'd fix it, but I can't at the moment."

Mar steps about the ship, awkwardly avoiding a few things Elayne has left on the floor. It isn't so bad, but he is accustomed to far more extravagant surroundings. He looks very out of place in his clothes. "So where is this little bed of yours? We can sleep together if you would like."

Myitt waves her free hand in front of Al's face.

"Hello-oo?" she mocks.  "I asked you a simple question.  Who are you?  Or do you not speak?"

((Yay drunk RAFing! Okay, guys, the interior of Salem's ship is basically a smooth, grey, oval-shaped room. There are hidden compartments in the floor, walls and ceiling, but the seams aren't visible. In the center, sitting back to back, are Al and Salem's chairs, both of which look like different brands of office chair or whatever. There are about a half dozen stainless steel shelving units bolted to the floor, and dozens of alien objects and artifacts on the floor that have fallen off the shelves. Just above the ramp, only visible when it's open, is the Hope drive, which looks basically like a bunch of glowing orbs connected by tubes.))

Salem laughed when Ossanlin commented. He was feeling more at ease, now that they seemed tense again, and had their weapons pointed at him. "Not such a huge fan of Earth myself. Haven't seen the place since I was a baby. With so many friends of yours around, Andalite, it would have been safer for me to just leave you bleeding."

He turned to Myitt. "This is Al. He said he was going to run an analysis of his programming. If he's doing that, he might not be able to speak at the moment."

Elayne's cheeks color in embarrassment, first at the comment about her housekeeping abilities--Well, it's true! she berates herself, kicking at the clothes and tools scattered about the floor and pushing them to the edges of the ship--and then even further at his suggestion about sleeping arrangements.

"Let me change the sheets," she says, bustling past him and to the unmade bed, which she begins stripping of unkempt linens. After tugging her only clean sheets out from the drawer under the bed and over the mattress, she gives a red-cheeked, triumphant smile. Now the only problem is her clothes, covered in engine grease, dirt, and blood from Trey and his father's wounds.

"Go ahead and rest, if you like," she tells Mar, snagging a clean blue collared shirt and brown cargo pants from the trundle. "I'm gonna change out of these clothes and into fresh ones." It's clear she is still flustered.

Tora gives a sigh of frustration. The deeper into the ship she ventures, the more evident it becomes that it is entirely empty, unless something is very well hidden from view.

Programming? An android then... Tora muses. Something about Salem's comment strikes her as odd. <<What reason would the android have to analyze its programming now?>> she asks Myitt suspiciously. <<Unless, I suppose, it was damaged during the fight.>>

"Programming?" Myitt repeats.  "A sentient android?  How curious.  Your version of Earth must be quite advanced, indeed."  She pokes at Al's arm.   "Hm."

Otherwise uninterested, she starts prodding around the sleek gray cabin, Dracon raised.

She reaches a hand into her jacket pocket and taps at the glowing holoscreen that appears in front of her face.

<You would've looked pretty suspicious fleeing the scene though wouldn't you?  What better way to disguise you're involvement than by helping?  With so many of my friends around, the attempt wasn't going to be successful, you knew that.  Very creative weapon though I must say.  Of couse, if this all was an accident, I would get a new pilot were I you.  I mean, how many mistakes can you excuse?  Accidentally firing an incapacitating weapon at Temrash's ship...accidentally picking Keshin up who certainly knew which way to run...accidentally ramming me bodily?  Not very skilled is he?>  Ossanlin ****s his head at Salem.

Myitt's eyes widen, and then narrow as she inspects the little screen.

Her bioscan certainly wasn't showing what she had been expecting.  Keshin and Joanne on board, of course, but...

She turns to Al once more, sidling up to him with a dangerous smile.

"He...ah, cannot respond, correct?" Myitt asks Salem, peering at him.  Her entire Dracon arm is tense with anticipation.  "Interesting.  Then perhaps you can tell me why this android creature is reading a bio-signature...not for one sentient organism, but two."  She glances at Tora, then back at Salem.  "One Yeerk, one human."

Rayker and Jackson sat at the bar and got a couple of drinks. They checked for anyone else in the bar and glanced over their shoulders often.

(((...is there anyone in the bar? I think Cobra's guy with the dog is, but is that all?)))

Quote from: Chad29
"Not entirely. Parker's good at planning. Personally I've been out of practice at leading forces. Obviously we'll need to find our friends quickly, and be prepared for them to be used as body shields if they aren't deemed too important as specimens to risk getting killed. We'll also want to find a way to get an advantage on our hands. Acquire a bargaining chip of our own, perhaps."
" Maybe there's someway we could help with an advantage there..." Carson explained "It seems that we weren't too valuable to him, but maybe y'all could pretend we're your hostages, or something to that effect. Maybe we pretend that the four of us have taken over the ship for him.... We're glad to help you get back at this scum anyway we can."
