"The enemy is a group of Humans from another dimension that has technology that's different from our universe's Earth, but not as good as the Human's tech from Parker's Earth." Temrash said. "Just follow our lead and I'll watch your back. After the rescue Myitt will hopefully be done with my ship and I can help you with your problem."

Corliss' gaze follows the ships as they head back in the direction of the bar parking lot.

"Oh, Christ, here we go again," he mutters.  "Terenia, things could get pretty hairy over there if they're landing.  You should go back to the bar, maybe clean up and just sit tight, all right?"

---

Myitt frees herself from the living metal buckles with a sigh, stretching and standing up.

She draws her Dracon and frowns at the power cell compartment, snapping it shut.

"Hey, Tora.  Alic.  Wait," she says, jogging toward the hatchway.  "I don't want either of you to get hurt in all this mess.  I'm not asking you to come with me.  But if you do, stay behind me and stay alert.  Even in a burnt out state, I don't trust Keshin's abilities as far as I can throw him.  And Salem...I have no idea what he's capable of, after that little display.  Just..."  She bounces on her heels, looking at her friends.  "We'll be okay."

Then she heads out the hatch and down the ramp, waiting for Salem's ship to land.

"Ah," Trey said, obviously completely lost by Thordon's detail of 'energies' and whatnot. "Well, maybe we should just make our way back to the bar then? I think I should wash up...maybe find Elayne and show her the chip. Maybe she can help me."

---

"Right, because we need to automatically revert to asking the Andalites for help," Tamora says sarcastically. She sighs and rests her head on the table, ignoring the way that her hair sticks to gunk accumulated from years of use. She isn't normally this sarcastic, but in the past few hours her Yeerk has been murdered, a hit has gone bad - how bad, she still does not know - and she has had her life threatened. All in all, not exactly her best day.

"Maybe I should just call it quits and take the directing guy up on his offer for a ride home." She ponders out loud.

---

Terenia snorts derisively, using her muddy hand to attempt to wipe her muddy face. "Like hell I'm going back to the bar," she says pulling her right Dracon from its holster and inspecting it carefully. The grip is dripping in goop, but the barrel seems to be intact, protected by the leather of her holster. She slips the weapon back into place and performs the same inspection on her left Dracon.

"I'm coming with you," she says once satisfied, looking up at Corliss through narrowed eyes, daring him to disagree. "If Myitt is after the bounty hunter - well, I have a stake in that too. Keshin did blow my arm off, remember? I'm not exactly thrilled with that whole incident."

Terenia stalks past Corliss, leaving a trail of mud in her wake as she moves to more solid ground. Her eyes remain sharp, offended by the concept of her returning to the bar to sit like a good girl while Corliss helped Myitt.

<<This is not our fight, Terenia,>> Efaen warns, <<Do not do anything foolish. Not now that you are finally beginning to be redeemed.>>

"**** redemption," Terenia mutters, her right hand finding a comfortable home wrapped around her Dracon's grip.

As soon as Keshin changed appearance, Al let out a wolf whistle. "Hey, good lookin," he said.

Salem hid a smile and shook his head. The ship finally settled to the ground, hovering at a height of just a few feet rather than sitting on its landing struts. The rear hatch slid open and the ramp settled to the ground. The screens in front of Salem drifted back up into the ceiling, and he stood and began walking towards the ramp.

Salem turned to Keshin. "Just act casual," he said with a wink. He walked about halfway down the ramp and sat down, dangling his legs off the edge and waiting for the crew of the other ship to come aboard. He closed his eyes, willing his headache to go away.

"The director guy is a controller from our universe? Or just a guy with powers that's lending you a hand? Maybe he can help me get Sukohn. If he can open up Ossy's ship, I'd be more than happy to ask him. Much better than begging the grass eaters."

"'Ey, that's my point!" Corliss protests, hurrying after Terenia.  He tries to hold her arm to slow her down.  "I don't want another arm of yours blown off, or anything else for that matter, all right?"

---

Myitt steps a few paces away from the end of the ramp, smoke from the damaged ship's hull and cabin curling out nearby.

She tightens her grip on her Dracon, waiting for Salem's ship to land.  When she sees him she nearly laughs--he was just a boy!  He couldn't be older than Tara herself.  What was this young, presumably uninfested human doing, in control of so much power?  Of course, the bar was a strange place, but it was still shocking.

Myitt walks over to Salem while he sits down at the edge of the ramp, looking up at him questioningly.

"Been a rough night?" she says dully.

The Director hears his name mentioned again. Perhaps Terenia's other half has finally decided to go home. He moves over towards the two. After the detainee's comment, he butts in, "'The directing guy' has a name, I'll have you know." He extends a hand to the man talking to Tamora, "I'm The Director. You're a bit old for a babysitter, aren't ya mister...?" He nods backward at the little Andalite and raises an eyebrow hoping the man would give him his name.

Thordon nodded his head, "Indeed, it may be wisest to return where friendly contacts reside. What chip are you referring to; the one in your pocket? What is it for?" He asks his questions while he touches onto the ground and begins walking with the young man toward the bar.

Parker nodded his head in gratitude for taking his suggestion. He simply asked, "Where's the shuttle?"

(((sorry about being out for so long... internet's been down...
My guys aren't at risk of dying anymore... they're hurting, but not incapacitated...
Quote from: warren_bearclaw
Lennan and Charlotte finished tending to the fallen soldiers' wounds; they'd stopped the bleeding and cleaned the area.
I'm don't think you guys have already taken off yet, but tell if y'all have...)))

”I knew that we must look like the living dead, but we'll be fine now, thanks. Charlie here knows a thing or two about first aid, but we wouldn't mind getting another point of view, if you wanted.” Rayker said to the man offering help. “Carson...” He and his second-in-command spoke privately for a second before Carson approached the ship entrance

“Pardon me, but would a few extra men be much trouble for your group here? See, we've got a score of our own to settle with Dezzie up there, and it seems that we might be able help out. I know, this must sound crazy considering our little... encounter, but we've always known the risks, and Riley and Wester would be all up over our tails if we passed up this chance now.” Carson's eyes reddened and his breathing quickened slightly, but otherwise, he remained composed. On the inside though, he was dealing with a whole mess of memories and emotions, not to mention his recent injuries. Carry on, Carson he thought.

Though he played it off as if he was doing just fine after his 'field surgery', Rayker knew he had to be out of action for a while. The pain killers dealt with most of the agony, but still, he was left with extreme discomfort, and he knew. But he also knew that he couldn't  just let this opportunity slide by. His plan was to send Charlotte, Lennan, and Antonio along with Carson with their ex-assailants, assuming they'd have them (Man, Riley sure would've got a kick out of that... he thought with a deep sigh) and to have Jackson stay behind with him on the asteroid. Carson could handle it he knew... and his late friends needed some form of farewell at the least.

Alic followed Myitt. <You know I'm with you. All the way.> Alic gripped the dracon tightly, as if she were afraid to drop it. She didn't use weapons usually, and definitely didn't have the best aim. But when she saw Salem, she really didn't think it would be necessary to use. He seemed a little too comfortable though, and Alic was happy she had something besides her tail blade to protect her.
<<He seems too at ease to have three possible enemies boarding his ship.>> Alic spoke privately to Tora and Myitt. Her stalk eyes were searching their surroundings, waiting for someone or something to try and surprise them.

"Hey. The name's Cody." he said. He looked over towards Claxter who seemed to have wandered away a little. Probably because of the other two Andalites. "Yeah, he tends to wander off. The little rapscalion done tied me up again. You know how those kids can get."

"I was just wondering if you knew how to get into another person's ship. See I have a friend in there that I shouldn't leave this rock with, ut me and Tamora are ready to go. You think you could do something about that? We'll pay."

"I suppose so," Elayne laughs. "It has the shape of a Bug fighter, but it doesn't look much like one on the inside. I've fitted the interior with human-made consoles so they're more comfortable for my use. The empty space is now taken up with sleeping quarters and a small area for food. The rest is engine modifications to accommodate longer travel times."

Tora follows Myitt, frowning at Salem as he comes into view. There is no sight of Keshin. "Where is he...?" she mutters, her soft eyes narrowing in worry.

She agrees with Alic's assessment of Salem's posture; something certainly seems off. Grip tightening on her Dracon, she proceeds behind her friends. <<Corliss, if you are near, we could most likely use backup,>> she calls in private thought-speech. She is certain Corliss will feel the same way she does about helping Myitt; there is no question she will.

The Director rolled his eyes, "You Humans think you can just buy anyone, don't you? You'd never think that someone would like to help just to help." He shook his head and continued, "I could give it a whirl. Why not?"

"We Humans are very money centered, and I am a very self centered individual." Cody said. "Thanks for your help. Now if we can just get me untied and us outside, we can put these Andalites behind us." He said and started working on the new better knot that Claxter did.

Salem climbed to his feet and smirked at Myitt. "Definitely. I've got Hork-Bajir chasing me through the woods, bounty hunters escaping my holds, strangers shooting at me out of the blue. And earlier, an Andalite jumped in front of my ship. Poor things just freeze up when they're caught in the headlights."

He called to Alic, "Andalite, I didn't get a chance to thank you before. I think the War Prince would be dead if you hadn't shown up."

"I'm Salem," he continued to Myitt. "My friend and pilot, Al, is on the ship."

He turned and began to walk up the ramp before turning back and looking at the three coming towards his ship. Why the hell are there always so many humans? he thought. He laughed. "You guys look a little tense." He turned and walked into the ship. "Come on in!" he called over his shoulder.

The Director raised his eyebrows a moment as he said, "Yeah." He removed his sonic screwdriver and pointed it at the main knot binding Cody. He activated the device and waited for the vibrations to either loosen the knot, or disintegrate it completely.
