((FYI, If you're in the bubble shield, which Gaz, Andromeda, Silver, and Parker are, no shots can get out of the shield either. Warren, in case you didn't read the effects of the bubble shield Silver activated, it's a shield shaped like a dome that will block all ballistic and energy fire. It blocks grenades, rockets and any weapon based attacks from entering. However you can still walk through it and fire within it.))

With the shield now in place, Parker feels comfortable enough to take a shot. He fires his three-round burst straight at Desmond's head, but he dematerializes before the bullets can reach him. The bullets instead hit the interior of the shield and ricochet into the ground. He cursed as he saw that everyone had left except Gaz, Andromeda, and Silver. Momentarily, a group of CG soldiers ran out of Morgan's ship and saw they had left behind. Perfect, something to vent my frustration on.

Parker yelled to Andromeda and Silver, "You two, stay in the shield. Silver, protect your mother in case anyone breaches the shield. Remember, they can’t harm you as long as you’re within this dome.” He nodded to Gaz, “Let’s go.”

He deactivated his sword, rolled sideways out of the semi-spherical shield, and shot three consecutive three-round bursts of his BR55 into the crowd of soldiers, all shots aiming for heads. After the initial shots, he began to run towards the small group and exchanged his Battle Rifle for his Shotgun.

((Also Warren, a general rule when battling other posters, attacks should only be directed towards the other RPer. The person receiving the attack decides whether or not they hit. Just as in my post, I said I shot aiming for heads, but didn’t say if they found purchase. You decide that. Now since there’s a constant, like the bubble shield, any shots made at it will bounce off guaranteed, so you can shoot at it and say the bullets sprayed up into the air all you like, but if you shoot at an unprotected character, you can’t say whether or not it hit.

I didn’t know this detail when I first entered a battle in this RP, so I just thought I’d let you know in case you didn’t.))

Andromeda was still in some form of distress, but had moved past speechlessness. "We have to do something! I won't lose him again! Not again."

Gaz took a moment to rotate her wrists after being released. She bent over and picked up her gun, which had been conveniently dropped.

"You want the ones on the left or the right?" she asked.

Silver hugged her mother tightly. "Don't worry. Well get them back. If they the CG thinks they've outsmarted us then they don't know their own creations. You need to listen to me. I need you calm and level headed for this okay. We'll get them back very, very soon." She saud stroking her mothers hair and glaring up at the hovering ship. She didn't worry about Parker and Gaz. They would be fine against this group.

"Well..." Elayne tells Mar hesitantly, "I have a ship capable of providing limited assistance; it's just a modified Bug model from about ten years ago. I'm a decent shot, but I'm a God-awful pilot. And you're tired as hell." She sighs and spreads her hands outward, palms up. "Maybe we could get Corliss and Terenia to help, if we can catch up with them. But it's up to you, Mar."

"One of those ships appears to be mine, so the other is likely Salem's. We have a rather complicated issue with him. He isn't strictly an enemy, but he is harboring one for personal reasons."

Temrash was waiting for Ossanlin to say something. He was afraid if he ran out that he might get shot, yet some of his friends were out there and may need help. There just wasn't anything he had that could do anything about that CG ship.

Sergeant Rayker turned towards the threat brought to his attention. The group of mismatched beings looked as though they weren't in a very friendly mood at the moment. Suddenly, the one in full body armor rolled out of the shield and let loose a spray of ammo dead-on in the direction of his squad. Carson, always alert, countered with a burst from his own rifle. Instead of the typically red blaster beam though, a wide blue-and-green cone of energy emitted from the barrel. The energy blast was refracted into a "wall" of sorts, effectively, a shield. By now, all eight of the squad-members were ready for action; they each pulled their hoods over their heads and waited for their leader's command. They weren't kept waiting long: "Defensive maneuvers, NOW!!! Harm no one! I repeat, DO NOT harm them!" Rayker and one other soldier, Wester, added their own energy-walls to Carson's, fully enclosing the three. The other five soldiers were no where to be seen...

((my weapon fires a concussion-blast that can be adjusted from a wide cone to a focused beam, and everything in between. It behaves like a solid wall; matter cannot move through it, though energy can "phase" through it, which makes it less effective. As a focused beam, it will forcibly hit anything it makes contact with and is pretty much like having a car thrown at you, or something like that. But no one else should know that yet!))

((He weighs a literal ton?!? Good Gravy! He wouldn't be able to penetrate it, and neither can my guys, but by ramming into it hard enough (and it would have to be HARD), he could knock over whoever was holding it, and then it would probably deactivate. The wall will absorb a lot of the force hitting it (mainly bullets, etc), but it's got it's limits, too. ...And yes, my shield came up before the shots hit. I'm assuming you're shooting bullets, not laser...))

((Okay, so by "absorb the force", I'm gonna assume the bullets are gonna just stop and drop to the ground. It would help to have those details transcribed though. 'Cause you're the only know that knows what happens against your technology, so we need those details posted. Thanks.

Also, are the shields visible; and how many shields are currently up?))

Parker was halfway to the soldiers when he saw his nine shots stop in the middle of the air and drop. Thor spoke to him in his head, <Sir, it seems their firearms created a forcefield.>

Parker said, "The bullets stopped, is their forcefield like our bubbleshield?"

<No. It seems to stop all matter.>

"So. I can't run through it."

<No, but you can impact it. It seems they have to maintain the forcefield, so if you impact the shield, you could effect the individual sustaining it.>

"That'll work." Parker tucked his shoulder down, and ran in a full out sprint. His legs began to disappear in a blur behind his body and a trail of dust was kicked up, as he rocketed toward the shield. He kept an eye on his bullets on the ground, so he knew when he was going to hit the shield. As he came to the forcefield, he lowered his head and rammed straight into the shield.

((Okay, so S-IIs can run at almost impossible speeds and weigh around a ton, keep that in mind.

Sorry Chad, but Thordon is too much of a Gary Stu in battle to use him in a fight; and The Director wouldn't do well in a firefight. ;D ))

Ossanlin glances at Claxter.  <Do?  If there's a ship out there it must not be a threat...the Tyrennian didn't contact me and they certainly would've if they had deteced any ship that could be a threat.  From what I've seen they are only dealing with those myth-type pirates, this is obviously a matter from a different multiverse.  I'm not going to interfere, and I would suggest you don't either.  Should you feel the necessity to do so, I will not hold it against you.  But I remind you we know little of them...for all we know they could be violent murderers and their police force has found them.  Besides I don't think the Bar Tender would allow anyone into his little time-space flux nexus that planned on destroying his bar.>

Ossanlin glances over at the Bar Tender...who continues to incessantly dry-wash that same smudged glass.  He then glances back to Ronny, waiting for the other Prince's response.

Keshin groans. "This guy Temrash is really persistent, isn't he? I mean I didn't even kill anyone he liked. Or at least not that he knows of. Maybe he's just obsessed with justice to a really annoying degree?"

Keshin takes a few glances around the ship. And sure enough, what Salem said is about right. The ship has architectural and technological elements that appear to be a weird hodgepodge of stuff that somehow works. Keshin chuckles. <Looks like our ship, Joanne.>

<Only they've been at it for even longer.>

<And they've gone to weirder places.>

"So...what was your original universe like?" Keshin mutters. "Where did this even start?"
*****************************************************************************************************

"It would be far too much of a hassle for you and I," Mar mutters despondently. He stops following Ossanlin and sits down in the middle of the grass, unsure of what to do with himself. Coming here made him realize just how much he relied on the organization to do things for him. Without goons not far behind, he has to do everything himself.

Mar glances at Elayne and states, "I suppose...I should stop. How...you were a leader once. A mortal leader. But so powerless...no wonder you mortals complain about your lives so much. I...need rest....I'm not making sense."

(That's fine, Parker.)

<Yes sir.> Claxter said. He didn't want to involve himself if his Prince didn't want them too.

Though Temrash was already involved, having helped the pirates before and killed CG.  "Come on, Dara. Let's go find Morgan and the others." Temrash said as he started making his way to Morgan's ship. He didn't blame Oss for not wanting to get involved.
