At Keshin's words, Salem rolled his eyes. "Yeerk ships have almost no armor. I can't see them shooting us down easily." They were sitting back to back, but he smiled, hoping Keshin would hear it in his voice. "Of course, you'll be safer if I can get you to the ground without them seeing."

Temrash's ship sprayed a few erratic shots in their direction, but Al avoided the two or three that would have hit them, rolling out of the way seemingly before the other ship had even fired. Al sighed. "Salem, he's worried about us. Maybe we should be too."

Salem smirked, "Al, I'd rather finish helping them before worrying about us. No sense in busting them out just to get them killed.

"Besides, I'm not worried about Temrash," he lied.

[Gaz]

(Oops. Let out that detail. There are a couple on each hostage, at least a couple extra on Morgan. Plus a good half a dozen behind them, I should think. CG don't mess around. lol.)

In the face of Parker's actions, the man barely blinked. Instead he rolled his eyes and gave a theatrical sigh.

"Such unnecessary bravado," the man commented. "Do you think I would be so foolish as to come on such a mission without a contingency plan in place?"

The man paused a moment to let the thought simmer, then continued.

"You see, I left some men aboard the ship behind us," the man pointed a thin finger behind him. "The crew of which has been compromised and the weapons system has been taken over. If myself or any of my men are killed, those on board are under orders to kill any and all alive in this immediate vicinity. Though I would much prefer the captives alive. They're rather valuable you see."

The man's smirk returned. "And it would appear that you would prefer them alive as well."

Then the man's eyes drifted over towards Silver, and for just a split second he looked surprised.

"My good fortune continues," he said as he glanced from her to Andromeda to Morgan. "I do believe I have the complete set here."

Now he was speaking to Silver, "You may not remember me, child. Though your father certainly does. It will mean nothing to anyone present, but I shall introduce myself. Desmond Morelock."

[Darth Revan]

The stranger named himself. "Desmond". Parker kept his aim true, "I have a contingency plan of my own. My friends will survive should your men fire; make no mistake. The question is, do you value your life over that of your government's goals?"

He nodded toward Silver, "Silver, you still have the device I gave you, don't you?"

Without waiting for an answer, he explained to everyone, "See, I can contain us in a localized shield. Any and all ballistic or energy fire will be repelled and reflected away from us as long as the device is active; so your buddies can't touch us from there. Meanwhile in our little world, I can drop you and your boys before any of them even begin to drain the power of my personal sheild." Parker's words are dead even and delivered with absolute authority. Every word, anyone could tell, he believed in with his very soul.


Thordon stood back, out of respect, as the boy vomited. Normally individuals preferred to be alone in such instances of vulnerability. He asked from a distance, "What happened? I take it your ship will no longer be able to be fixed?"

[Myitt]

Myitt coughs, covering her mouth with one hand and swiping at the holoscreen in front of her with the other.  

"God damn, they're fast," Myitt says after sucking in another breath.  "Let's see what this ship has got."

Temrash's wounded ship powers forward toward Salem's, causing the cabin to shriek with the sound of protesting metal, but the shielding keeps the interior from losing pressure or leaking air.

The maneuver is so fast that it sends Myitt back into her seat, a bit more gently this time.  She grips onto the big seat handles meant for Hork-Bajir hands.  

"Tora, I'm bringing us around for another round," she yells.  "Alic, get that ship in our sights!"

Corliss hops over a fallen log, brushing back a large branch and landing in a pool of dirty water up to his boot ankles.  He steps out, unfazed, and pauses, looking up through the trees. 

A few branches come crashing down nearby with a leafy crunch, and he follows the trail, unable to hear Terenia through his internal thoughts.

<What is she doing!> he demands.

<Biting off more than she can chew, mate,> replies Corliss' host Mike, dully.  <What else is new?>

Corliss ignores his host, continuing through the forest.

***Hi. This RPG must be pretty great since it's got so many posts... I'd love to jump in, but no way would I have the time to read all the way through it. Would someone be able to give me a summary, a character list, or an overview or something? That might be crazy to ask, but I'd appreciate it!***

((Actually, there really is no need to do either of those things. XD Check back a couple pages and you'll see us rant on the characters, though. But any character you dragged in here would react as if they didn't know anyone here anyway. Or what was going on. It's a weird, pan-dimensional Bar in space with largely character-driven spontaneous Roleplay. The place has questionable, creepy Lovecraftian undertones in the fact that the bartender is definitely not normal and nobody ever seems to get around to leaving. And physical needs seem to be on an arbitrary "Whenever I feel like it" basis. And ordinarily hostile and even twisted characters are warped into making friends in the Bar. But so far it hasn't been important. X3 And I shall post later! ))

((Yeah, warren, if you wanted, you could actually just have your character stumble upon the bar at any time. If you read the first few posts, you'll know enough about the bar itself to pick up the setting, and then your character can learn the characters as you do If you go to this page, a lot of the current characters are described over the next couple pages, which could help you pick it up more quickly. If you still want more information before jumping in, feel free to PM me and I'll see what I can throw together ))

((There are quite a few people at this establishment; but first, it’ll help to know just where you are first:

The Galaxy’s Edge Space Bar is located in a trans-dimensional nexus. It exists in every Universe and in every point in the Timeline. So characters from different universes and completely different points in Time can interact. The bar itself is located on an asteroid. The bar is surrounded with forestry, and has a nearby lake. There is a parking lot in front of it with many ships parked sporadically within it. There is a large ship graveyard in the back.

Currently, here are the character breakdowns:

In the bar, there are a number of characters –

Ossanlin (Ossanlin)– Andalite War Prince, very well built arms, has a harness with dual Katanas along with dual shredders.
Temrash/Jagill (Chad) – Hork-Bajir-controller, he’s part of the Yeerk rebellion working towards human freedom
Dara (Cobra) – Hork-Bajir, he’s recently free from Yeerks
Ronny (Prince Ronny) – Andalite Prince.
Cody (Chad) – Insane Human-controller currently free from his Yeerk, Sukohn, who is on Ossanlin’s ship; but wants to be reunited
Tamora (Terenia) – Former voluntary Human-controller, her Yeerk was killed before her eyes. Has a twin sister, Terenia.
The Director (Darth Revan) – Time Lord from the a Doctor Who Universe
There are some others that are there, but have been inactive. I won’t go into detail about them.

Outside of the bar, there are more –

In the parking lot, running into the forest:

Mar (Shenmue) – A mortal manifestation of The Devil, he’s connected to Myitt and Elayne
Elayne (KitsuneMarie) – Human, she is from Myitt/Corliss/Keshin’s future.
Corliss/Mike (Myitt) – Voluntary Human-controller, Member of the Yeerk rebellion. Corliss is Myitt’s “brother”
Terenia/Efaen (Terenia) – Possibly voluntary Andalite-controller, She was born a human, became an Andalite nothlits, then became a Yeerk nothlits. She currently is infesting the Andalite Efaen.

Off the side of the parking lot, by a burning ship:

Thordon (Darth Revan) – A humanoid four-armed alien called an “Anaron”. He’s an ascended being, but takes the form of the species he evolved from. He has mastery over all things Energy, especially Electricity and Electro-magnetism.
Trey (Terenia) – Human, He was born from two Yeerks that were forced into being human nothlits. He is from Elayne’s future.

Off the side of the parking lot, outside of a large ship:

Morgan (Gaz) – Minotaur, He captains The Cursed Pride.
Andromeda (Gaz) – Human, a gov’t experiment changed her appearance to look like Medusa, it was interrupted, so only her eyes changed, and two snakes sprouted from her scalp. She is Morgan’s wife.
Asda (Gaz) – Four-armed alien, she’s a doctor aboard Morgan’s ship
Gaz (Gaz) – Human, she is a friend of Morgan. She has her own ship, The Vagabond.
Fletcher (Gaz) – Human cyborg, crewman of Morgan’s ship.
Silver (Mythica) – Human, she can change her appearance to look however she wishes. She is daughter to Morgan and Andromeda.
Parker-821 (Darth Revan) – SPARTAN-II from the HALO Universe. Has multiple rifles attached to his back. He also has an A.I. called Thor that resides inside his armor.

In the air, currently in a ship to ship battle:

Inside Temrash’s ship –

Myitt/Tara (Myitt) – Voluntary Human-controller, part of the Yeerk rebellion. Myitt is Corliss’s “brother”
Tora (KitsuneMarie) – Andalite that is part of the Yeerk rebellion. She doesn’t want anyone to know that she is indeed an Andalite, so she stays in morph as a human.
Aliciana (Patty) – Andalite

Inside Salem’s ship –

Salem (Aluminator) – Seemingly Human. He can use thought-speech, and has many strange weapons not from the Animorph universe.
Al (Aluminator) – Is an Artificial Intelligence that normally inhabits a prototype Chee chassis, but is currently inside Salem’s ship.
Keshin/Joanne (Shenmue) – Voluntary Human-controller. He/She are bounty hunters with no allegiance.


If you want to know about the story-line specifics, read back a few pages. We all have to from time to time. ))

((Rachel, your army's on orders to kill everyone in the vicinity if the dude's men get shot?  Just be aware that having a big army of characters isn't the easiest thing to roleplay, and people might start to just...ignore it...kinda like Lumy's army.  Use caution when threatening the whole bar, too!  Sorry if that comes off all jerky, I don't mean it that way, but hear me out and keep that in mind, okay?))

((Awesome recap, Parker. You covered it pretty well. I can't see how a newcomer would be lost after that! Except for, you know, the random explosions everywhere...hehe. Also, welcome warren! Dive right in!))

Trey laughs a little, the sound coming out rough from his recent smoke inhalation. When he speaks it sounds as though he is getting over a bout of strep throat.

"Yeah...I don't think I'll be using that ship anytime soon," he says wryly. He sits up again, more slowly this time, and looks down at his hands, which are clenched tightly in his lap. Opening his right hand a small computer chip can be seen. He smiles again, a slightly more victorious look, "I think I got the files I needed though. I just need to find a ship that is able to use human technology from twenty years in the future. Seems like everything here is either too advanced or too primitive."

He slips the computer chip into his breast pocket, hand brushing some of the unraveled bandage still stuck to his skull. With a sigh he pulls it free, discarding the bloody fabric on the ground. The wound on his head seems to have stopped bleeding, at least. Now, however, he has a new list of wounds to inspect.

"Ah....thanks," he says to Thordon sincerely. "I owe you."
