Upon first seeing Myitt, Terenia has enough presence of mind to notice how awful she looks. She is about to ask what in the hell happened on board that ship when the Yeerk speaks. With a huff of discontent, Terenia prepares an equally biting comment, but before she can deliver it Corliss nearly runs into her.

Terenia's words die on her tongue, all of her anger at Temrash suddenly draining out of her and being replaced by a nasty twisting feeling in her stomach.

"Corliss," she stammers, "I...um...sorry." She sidesteps out of the way quickly, her cheeks flushing as she looks towards the ground.

((Chad, Myitt is near the bar by now, not near Temrash and Ossanlin.))

"No worries," Corliss mutters awkwardly as he steps past Terenia.

Myitt pushes the bar door open and makes a bee-line toward the bar counter, sitting down and sinking, face down, onto the bar counter.

The bartender sets a bottle of redin and a greasy glass next to her.  She doesn't look up, or touch it; she just keeps hiding her head in her arms like a sulking child.

(Oh, I didn't read the part where she walked past. I just noticed I missed your post and edited. I'll edit.)

Both Claxter and Derrel noticed Myitt enter. Claxter didn't say much, knowing why she was down. Derrel was tempted to go to her, but she seemed to want to be alone.

((sorry for not posting! ima make my Starcraft marine vanish *POOF!*

ima gonna bring in a character from waaaay back when))

Jumping out of hyper-space, the battered, single person ship did a quick scan for any planets with life-forms.

Balthazar is a young 9 foot tall Malonian male, with the scars of all his previous battles showing all over his large muscular arms and what you can see of his torso. His species has skin colours ranging from golden brown all the way to dark red in colour.

His facial features are, in a word, striking. Protruding about 1 whole foot from his forhead, sweeping back around are a pair of grayish coloured horns with some slight cracks in them from fights. He has a humanoid shaped head, and his skin colour is a dark tan colour, a rarity in his species. He has no hair on the top of his head, but he has a small amount of facial hair, which he has trimmed into the shape of a long goatee style beard. If he smiles, and he rarely does so, you are able to see his pointed canine teeth, and a snake-like split tounge.

His shipboard computer beeping, he turned his attention to a small planet-like moon that is mostly forested, but with a few lakes here and there. Guiding the small spaceship to an empty patch in the landing zone, he misjudged the landing and he damaged the rear left landing gear. Balthazar's ship is known as a ScytheDart on his home planet. The shape of the ship is long and rather skinny, hence the 'dart' part of the naming. It gets the 'scythe' part from the scythe shaped wings protruding from the sides, near the end, making a shape like a miniature axe. Suspended below the wings, are a number of weapon systems, most notably, the dual Gatling lazers and the small thermonuclear missiles that are snuggled right up against the ship's body.

Quickly grabbing his weapon belt, he made sure that his throwing knives and small plasma pistol were attached. He also grabbed his black denim vest and he then buckled the belt through the loops on his bloodstained blue jeans and then he tossed his tattered black vest on, so it covered a majority of the scars on his torso and most of his belt.

Pressing a few buttons inside the ****pit, the nano-phase hull melted away to allow him to jump out and to survey his surroundings. Looking around, he saw a multitude of different ships, and even a huge junkyard to one side.

Walking over to the only building in sight, he pushed open the door, but before he went inside, he looked around and he saw a number of different lifeforms all talking and drinking. Ducking through the door, making sure to not hit the top of the door-frame, he walked up to the bartender and said in a gutteral, almost gravelly sounding voice "Bartender, I'll have a bottle of the strongest whiskey you have. And a clean shot glass as well"

Ossanlin looks at Terenia and remains silent for a time.  <We abducted her Terenia, our plan all along was to abduct her.  Why would you think she came willingly?  Do you suppose we walked onto the Blade Ship, introduced ourselves, and asked Tamora if she would mind if we killed her Yeerk and brought her to see her sister whom she hates?>

Ossanlin shakes his head.  <She is no longer under Visser 3's control.  If you two don't get along, that's your problem.  The short of it is that you no longer have any excuse to hold Efaen against her will.>

Corliss pauses on his way to the bar, torn between supporting his brother and...no.  No, Terenia, would have betrayed them all at the drop of a hat.  He forces himself to brush his emotions aside, turning to listen to Ossanlin berate the girl.

"So what are we going to do with her, then?" he calls, taking a few steps back across the gravel, toward the group.  "Eh?  Just force her out of that Andalite host of 'ers, and hold her prisoner?  Clearly she's not going to agree to infesting her sister, and then it's all sunshine and rainbows and all that ****e."

<God help the poor thing if Myitt finds out what she's done, as well,> Mike says with an inward sigh.

Ossanlin looks at Corliss.  <What happens to Terenia at this point depends on her.  Unless Efaen has had a change of heart and has become voluntary, Terenia will no longer infest her.  I've tied my tail in knots to make this work.  If I was nearly any other Andalite, Terenia would've been dead long since, and who knows what Tamora's fate would've been when Visser 3's pet didn't report back?  I've tried to help this human get her act together and she replies with acid and venom.  I wasn't expecting a thank-you, but I surely wasn't expecting her to berate me for doing in days what she couldn't do in years.>

Ossanlin shakes his head...it was difficult to get him angry, but once someone got him there, the more natural Andalite nature started rearing its ugly head.  He turns his main eyes back to Terenia.  <She is no longer under Visser 3's control, and that is what you wanted.  There is no undoing what has been done.  I suggest you start living in the real multiverse Terenia, she's here and no amount of tantrums will change that.>

"Ossanlin," says Corliss plainly.  The words were on the tip of his tongue: Just tell him the damn girl tried to kill them all by sending Imperial troops after the Mirage!

His shoulders sink.  "Hasn't Efaen already proven that she is voluntary, by allowing Terenia back into her body?" he says, trying to rationalize.  "At least now Tamora is free, and Visser Three has lost his bargaining chip against them.  But will you, my Andalite friend, still allow an Andalite-Controller to exist, simply because that Controller wishes to be what it is?"

Ossanlin's face firms as Corliss speaks.  <Efaen made that decision under duress.  She felt responsible for everything and so she reinfested herself because she didn't think she had any other option.  She needs to understand that she does have options.  And now she need not feel any guilt about Tamora.>  Ossanlin clenches a fist.  <If...IF she is truly voluntary now, and I will not believe that until I speak with her uninfested, and if Terenia will no longer serve the Empire...Then that is the way it is.  But if Efaen is NOT voluntary, or if Terenia...>  He looks pointedly back at the girl in morph.  <...has any plans on returning to the Empire to serve them, I cannot allow that to happen.  I will not.>

With two arms, Asda was holding her computer, with the top set, she was trying to get things ready to take the blood sample.

"If you could hold her arm," Asda said as she worked, "so I can get a sample. That would be great."

Andromeda was bent over the table, her hands hadn't come down from clutching her head. She let out a little cry of pain.

"I want to give her something to manage the pain," Asda continued, "but I want to make sure it isn't going to react to the drug. I'm also hoping I'll be able to make a counter to stop it."

If only Fletcher would hurry up and come back, Asda thought.

Gaz was still darting around the bar, she was having no luck finding Silver. She had to be around somewhere! Then she had checked the outside of the bar as well.

In her runnings around, she saw Parker. Gaz remembered that Parker and Silver had been looking pretty close lately. It was worth a try.

"Parker!" Gaz yelled. "Do you know where Silver is? Something's wrong with Andromeda!"

Keshin frowns, glancing over Andromeda's bizarre condition with some interest. He also notes that Myitt has entered the Bar, but she looks more distraught than he's ever seen her. Keshin isn't exactly her friend, so he doubts anything he could do would comfort. For now the best thing to do is wait and see what the other patrons do. <I wonder what happened, anyway.>

<Yeah. It's hard to shake that chick up.>

"Do you guys need some kind of help?" he says to Gaz, shrugging and turning to them. Better this option than the other. "That woman looks to be in a bad way."

Mar notes the emotions wafting through the air as he follows Elayne and cannot help but break into a wicked smile. Even in such a limited shape such feelings are too strong and delightful to miss. Terenia, who has been wandering through the crowd with fervor, is filled with some combination of rage and despair. A sorrow far more potent briefly appeared from the Mirage itself. And...wait, was that one his Precious? Mar turns his head, his eyes following Myitt as she walks inside the Bar.

Mar turns to Elayne and puts his hand on her shoulder. His expression has become rather serious. "My Precious is...upset. But she would not want to see me. She never does. And you may be disturbed as well by this turn of events, and I cannot allow that. There is also much that has come of this trip that excites me.......what should I do?"

((yeesh, I'm running out of ways to say 'angry'. My thesaurus is getting a workout!))

Terenia's eyes follow Ossanlin and Corliss' conversation. She is surprised and grateful to see Corliss speaking up for her, but his presence also makes her nervous. He could all too easily destroy her with the knowledge he has.

Not that his support seems to be helping much. As Ossanlin explains what happened during The Mirage's journey her eyes narrow. She glares at the Andalite, her limbs stiff with indignation.

"You think she is free?" Terenia snarls, "If I had wanted to truss her up and starve her Yeerk out don't you think I would have done it by now? If you would have listened to me for two seconds instead of gallivanting around the universe like heroes on steroids maybe you would have realized that. I want her to want her freedom, not run away from it. Do you honestly think she won't run back to the Empire the second she gets a chance? You did not free her, you just put her in a different cage."

Terenia turns on her heel abruptly, stalking away from Ossanlin. She makes it about five paces before turning and shouting over her shoulder, "And like hell I'm leaving Efaen so that you can abduct her too. ****ing body snatchers, you're worse than the Yeerks."

Turning away again she walks up to Corliss, her face burning. "Thanks," she mutters awkwardly, hesitating. She is unsure whether she should walk by him, back into the bar, or stay and fight a verbal war with Ossanlin.

As he spoke to her, Elayne stepped away from Ossanlin to face Mar. "I don't think our Andalite friend is in a particularly cheerful mood, either," she murmured to him. "As far as Myitt goes, I'd trust Corliss to calm her down more than anyone." Although Corliss doesn't seem as stable as he was earlier, she thought worriedly.

"I'm fine... I'm not disturbed," she shook her head. Just then, however, Terenia's tone took on a new level of ire. "But I wouldn't mind getting away from this ship," Elayne winced, lowering her voice. "I doubt this is the homecoming anyone was expecting. Maybe the best thing to do is return to the Bar, although you should probably avoid Myitt for a while." She paused and then added, "And Terenia. And perhaps Corliss too." She sighed. "Maybe Ossanlin will join us once things settle. I'm sure you could a nice vantage point for taking in all the hysterics in the meantime."

"She does have a point that stealing a voluntary away from the Empire and killing her Yeerk won't grant you any loyalty from Tamora. However, I don't think Terenia really understands her current situation." Temrash said. "Would you like my assistance with anything, or would you rather handle things yourself?"

Corliss listens to Ossanlin, unsure of how to respond.  He did have a very valid point: It would go against Corliss' own moral reasoning to allow Terenia to remain inside Efaen if she were involuntary...but he knew so many involuntary Controllers, there was no way to save them all.  Not without unnecessary risk.

Efaen had wanted Terenia to remain with her, he had seen that.  Even if it was a temporary decision.

Corliss shakes his head.  Three creatures: Tamora, Efaen and Terenia.  All of them, being told what they must do.  What was the right thing to do.  And yet, if allowed to choose on their own, any of them might betray and doom the patrons of the Bar.

In the midst of his internal turmoil, he hears a voice that makes his human body feel a little numb.

He looks up at Terenia, his expression serious.  "You're welcome," he says quietly.
