Claxter came down the ramp with Cody in tow, and saw Terenia. He wanted to say something. To gloat, or mock, or otherwise rub it in that they succeeded. He just wasn't sure the best way to put it. so he just gave an 'I told you so' smirk as he trotted by. <Hello Efaen. Miss me?> He said. He knew she couldn't speak unless Terenia allowed it, but he was sure she must be happy to see him as he was happy to know she was well. Unfortunately for some reason Terenia was in Human morph, so he couldn't see Efaen's face.

"That must be Sukohn." Temrash said. "You're letting the kid watch him?" He asked Oss.

"Hey!" Tamora cries, sudden panic seizing her as the medbay suddenly empties out, "Hey! Is anyone going to untie me!? Don't leave me here for her!"

--

Terenia's chest tightens as she recognizes the Andalite walking down the ramp. She takes a step back instinctively, her right hand tightening over the Dracon holster, but she does not draw her weapon. Her gaze moves away from Ossanlin as Claxter trots by, an infuriating smirk across his face. Efaen is carefully silent in her mind as Terenia's anger builds. She is about to draw her weapon, but then Claxter has passed and so has the moment. With a low growl she turns her attention back to the now open hatch, watching for a familiar face.

The Director reads Terenia's reactions as the Andalites leave the ship. Obviously neither of these were the person she was looking for. He noticed how the second Andalite, the one with a human in tow, made her tense. He was actually proud that she didn't draw. Of course the fact that they had large blades on their tails that could end her life probably had a part to play in that. Even more interesting was that neither she nor Corliss dared look at each other even though they were but meters away. The Director just continued to watch for Terenia's reaction signalling that she had found who she was waiting for.

Thordon overheard the boy asking Mar if he could overturn his ship. He began to stare at the two, not wanting to interupt them. He had hoped the child would ask him, but none of those around him seemed to have mentioned that he could be of any help. If he didn't notice Thordon staring, then perhaps he should just go up and offer his help. He continued to sit and wait.

Derrel had yet to leave the ship. He saw most of the people outside were Human, except for one possible robot and a bladed lizard alien. When the restrained girl started yelling, he tunred back to look at her. He didn't know why she was tied up, but it might have to do with whatever aliens did to people they abducted. He went over and started undoing her bindings without asking permission. It wasn't too hard.

"There you go." He said once he was done. I don't know about you, but I'm ready to leave this alien ship and see where on Earth I am."

"Or off it," Tamora mutters, sitting up for the first time in hours. She stretches her sore muscles, feeling her joints pop and crack in protest at her sudden mobility. With her hands finally free she wipes leftover tears from her eyes, giving Derrel a weak smile. "Thanks," she says, slipping off of the bed and onto the floor.

She makes her way out of the med bay and onto the ship's bridge. The first thing that she notices is the open hatch, a fresh breeze blowing in the sent of soil and the sound of voices. The second thing she notices is that the bridge has not yet completely emptied itself. Myitt is there, standing over a portable Yeerk pool. For a desperate second, Tamora's heart leaps into her chest.

"Zorish?" She asks, jerking towards the pool. Even as she does so she realizes that she is mistaken. This must be Sukohn, the Yeerk who had left Cody moments before. Zorish was gone forever. She turns her focus on Myitt instead, her eyes watering.

"Are you going to kill him too? Is that why you let them all go ahead?" she accuses.

<Actually that is only Sukohn's host, Cody.  Sukohn needed to feed.  He's still onboard.>  Ossanlin replies to Temrash.  <I could keep them both in unconscious stasis, but I only try to do that when utterly necessary.  They have been disarmed of their lethal knowledge...they no longer possess any weapons, and they are restrained.  I think the Warrior can handle it.>  Ossanlin smiles a bit more, then looks back to Corliss.  <Myitt is...she's physically unharmed...but...sh e's in rough shape...mentally.  It's not my place to tell you what happened, but it might help her to talk to you about it.>  He looks back up the ramp.

Derrel didn't pay much attention to the animal in the pool. Some kind of alien worm. Probably a pet. He went to the door where the crows was, and tried not to stand out. He stuck his hands in his pockets, kept his head down, and started walking through. Even though there were Humans, he didn't know if they were friendly. His path gravitated to the building, where maybe there was food or work to be had.

Claxter made it inside the building and tied Cody up to the bar where he sat on a stol.

<Now just sit and behave until we find out what to do with you. If you would like, we can keep Sukohn from infesting you.>

"Look man, it's either this or spend the rest of my life in a rubber room. At least here I get to see new things, and watch people die." He said. "Hey bartender, get me a red smeirnoff." He put some money on the table and drank the beer when it came.

Myitt disconnects the wires from Sukohn and from her own body, pinching the bridge of her nose.  When was the last time Tara had slept?  She wasn't sure, and her own weariness was making it even harder to focus.

She puts the memory probe back into her backpack, but straightens up quickly as Tamora walks up behind her.

Myitt turns to face her.  The Dracon gun that had killed Zorish was still sitting next to the tupperware pool where Sukohn was now feeding, and she glances at it briefly before meeting Tamora's gaze.

"No," she says, guilt constricting her throat.  "I'm not going to kill him now.  I'm done with killing."

She steps away from the pool, kicking her backpack aside lightly.  "I am sorry for what I had to do.  I know that's no consolation, but you may take it for what it is."  Again her gaze flickers toward the gun.  "If you're seeking revenge, I guess I shouldn't be surprised." She smiles a little, sadly.

<What?> Tara says suddenly.  <Jesus, man, you can't be serious!>

<I thought you didn't care?> Myitt shoots back.

---

Corliss stares intently at Ossanlin, taking a few steps toward the ramp.

"What do you mean, she's in rough mental shape?" he demands, fear gripping his human heart.  "Why isn't she out here already?"

Tamora's bottom lip quivers, a sure sign that she is about to break down into another fit of tears.

"Yeah, I guess I do deserve a bit of revenge, huh?" she says flatly, swallowing hard as her eyes spill over, "but unlike you, I don't murder decent people. If I could starve you out without hurting her, trust me I would. But I won't put her through what you're putting me through."

Tamora turns her face away from Myitt's, biting her cheek to keep from sobbing.

Myitt looks bleakly down at the cabin's metal floor.  Again words fail her and she feels her terrible sadness and remorse building up as a lump in her throat.

She turns away from Tamora, not wanting the human girl to see the tears threatening to spring to her eyes.

---

Corliss decides he's tired of waiting and he brushes past Ossanlin, jogging noisily up the metal ramp.

He freezes in the hatchway, looking from Myitt, who is clearly quite upset, to...

Terenia?

No, of course not.  This was the girl's twin, Tamora.  But for a moment it shocks him into speechlessness.

He walks into the cabin and stands in front of Myitt.

"What are you crying about?" he demands.  Myitt just shakes her head.

Then he hugs Tara's body tightly.  "And for god's sake, will you check your bloody comm link!" he scowls into her ratty hair.

Myitt struggles under his massive hug and pushes him gently away.  Tears are rolling down her cheeks now.

"What the hell's the matter with you?" Corliss asks, with more concern than anger.

Temrash watches as Corliss ran up the ramp. "So what happened? Did the Emperials do something to Myitt?" He asked Ossanlin.

((Just a quick aside to those of you who aren't familiar with my characters: Tamora and Terenia are completely identical, not just in the fact that they are  twins, but also because Terenia's human form is actually a morph of her sister. The only differences between them currently are their outfits. Terenia is wearing a black leotard/morphing outfit and Tamora is wearing a dirty, torn and stained Imperial uniform.))

"Don't get too close," Tamora says thickly to the stranger hugging Myitt, through her tears, "she might blow your head off."

Tamora, crying silently, spins around towards the open hatch. She does not know where the remainder of her kidnappers have gone, but she does not want to spend another minute inside their vessel. Setting her face into what she hopes is a look of determination she moves to the hatch and takes a step out onto the ramp, squinting through her tears at the crowd below.

---

Terenia is about to relax her grip and demand information from Ossanlin when movement at the ship's hatch catches her eye. She whips her head towards the ramp, both hands flying to their respective weapons as she makes out the figure stepping out.

"They have her," she hisses, her voice taut with fury, "The dapsen fools, they have her."

Asda walked briskly into the bar and headed straight for Fletcher. She was carrying her medical bag and looked concerned.

"Fletcher," she said, "what is it? What's wrong?"

Fletcher nodded in the direction of the table where the rest of the crew was sitting.

"I think something is wrong with Andromeda," Fletcher said.

Asda glanced over and walked to the table. The rest of the group looked confused.

"How are you feeling?" Asda asked Andromeda.

"Now that you ask," Andromeda said, "well...I didn't want to say anything. But there's a slight pain in my head. A headache perhaps."

"I'll do a scan," Asda said, "it's probably nothing. You were asleep for quite some time. It's probably just the effects of the drug wearing off."

Corliss looks from Tamora to Myitt in surprise, watching Tamora stalk off toward the hatchway.  It was still startling, seeing a woman who was like a carbon copy of Terenia.  He grips Myitt's shoulders and searches her eyes.

"What happened?" he asks.

Myitt just shakes her head again, shakily wiping her eyes.

When she speaks, it is Tara, using her own voice.  "Myitt killed the Yeerk inside Tamora," she says, her voice quavering but not because of her own tears.  "She used the AKR while Zorish was in the pool, waiting to return to the girl.  Zorish had been in my head...he knew everything.  Even a memory wipe could have harbored a risk."

Corliss nods.  "But Myitt...why use that bloody evil thing?  So you had to kill him...why'd you--"

"I don't know!" Myitt suddenly snaps.  "I don't know, okay?  Maybe I didn't have enough time to disconnect the device.  Maybe I wanted to make him suffer.  Does that satisfy you?"  At the look of consternation on Mike's face, she adds sullenly, "Don't you hate me, too."

"I don't hate you," says Corliss.  "Myitt.  Don't be silly.  But you scare me, sometimes.  You can't fight them by acting like them."

"I know," Myitt whispers, bowing her head.

"Come on.  Let's join the others."  He puts an arm around her shoulders and glances back at the pool.  "Who's that, then?"

"Huh?  Oh...it's Sukohn.  No, no, I didn't kill him," she says glumly, waving a hand.

Corliss stops her behind Tamora, waiting for the girl to move.  He wouldn't blame her if it took her a while to do so, what with the crowd outside...and, he knew, Terenia was out there.

Elayne took several steps towards the ship before stopping again. "Ossanlin," she called to the Andalite. He looked serious. Angry, even. She had hardly met him, but based on Mar's approval of him, she imagined he wouldn't take his irritation out on her. "Welcome back. I want to thank you for restoring my timeline. I owe you a drink or two or three, at the very least," she smiled. "Find me in the Bar later, if you stick around."

Just then, a woman emerged from the open hatch -- not Myitt, as she was hoping to spot. Terenia? She whipped her head back to where she had last seen the woman; she was still there. Then who...? she wondered, closing her jaw that she had not realized had fallen open.
