Belzar was slightly disappointed that the commander had ignored him, but he supposed the Yeerk was more focused on getting the fugitive. He wouldn't press the issue.

After a bit of her silnce, she mentally shook herself. "I don't even know how far my change has gone. I know it has started though." she said sadly.

[Chad32]

"Well, Morgan has been where you are, and Asda is a skilled doctor. I'm sure that if this transformation continues they'll try to make it as painless as possible. Both physically and emotionally. I don't know if it can be stopped or reversed because I don't know anything about this. My people aren't exactly on the cutting edge of bioengineering." Temrash said.

"They kept us from mirrors and such so we were not able to see how we were changing. I was just recently tried. About a week or so before today. That other woman, she was next, I heard them talking about it." she told him.

[Chad32]

"We heard she was next as well. It was a really close call. Might even be a higher power up to that, if you believe in that kind of thing. I have heard occasional talk of these two super beings and a game, or something weird like that. How are you feeling right now, anyway? Do you have any family or anything?"

She frowned a minute. "I didn't hear anything about that kind of thing, though the things we did hear were by mistake. The guards and such were not allowed to speak around us." she said and then she shook her head at his next question. "I severely doubt it. I was on there a long time." she said.

[Chad32]

"Well I'm sure you can stay with Morgan and the others. I don't see them leaving you out."

Temrash thought the guards must act like Yeerk guards did around host cages. It was a rule that you don't talk to involuntary hosts, or even get chummy with the voluntaries.

[Gaz]

Gaz nodded, "I'm sure you and Morgan could swap stories about your experience. From what I understand Morgan's own transformation took near a year to complete. A painful experience that I'm sure affected him greatly as the CG doctors didn't want to give him pain meds. Thought it would ruin the end results. I wish I knew what they hoped to gain by putting people through that. Ya know, I myself was on a transport ship destined for a facility similar to the one you and Morgan came from. But Morgan intercepted the ship and got me out of there."

Andromeda sighed. "I understand your life must not have been easy. I wish things could have been different. I so much wanted to be a part of your childhood."

Then Andromeda smiled and said, "You remembered the lullaby? My own mother used to sing that to me when I was young myself."

She smiled and nodded. then she had a slight frown and looked back to Temrash. "You speak as if you aren't staying with them...."

She smiled. "It was rough, but that is in the past. Also, like father, I'm not physically and/or mentally the same. Not quite sure how you would put it." she said gently. "I can throw holograms and illusions." she told her.

"Well, I'm from a different group. These are my friends, but I don't exactly work for Gaz or Morgan. If we ever leave this place, we'll likely split ways. For now we're hanging out at this bar where weird stuff happens from time to time, but otherwise it's an interesting place with a variety of people."

"I see." she said as she listened. Her black cat ear twitched a moment on her head. "So do you think it was chance that brough your tema together?" she asked curiously.

"I haven't thought of it much, but I'm under the impression that this particular spot is hard to come to on purpose, unless you've already been here before. It's strange like that. I do believe in higher powers, but I'm not sure if they're moving us mortals around like board game pieces."
