((Gaz, that's adorable ^_^))

Ikakek's head cleared, and he noticed two Hork-Bajir stumble out of the bar, followed shortly by two others, wheezing heavily. If the target was now on the loose again, he didn't want to be in the area. He ship de-cloaked and dropped to a hover a few inches above the grass nearby. Ikakek sprinted and jumped in, tucking his legs close to his body as he did so, and rocketed towards the sky, trying to keep an eye on the area.

***

The commander noticed a small cloud of white smoke over near the corner of the bar and laughed. At least he knew the target's tricks didn't always work. The bartender handed an unlabeled bottle of what smelled like vodka, and a shot glass, to the commander, along with a notepad that read "cash or tab?" Sighing, the commander reached into his pocket and slammed some coins down on the counter. He noticed Thordon looking at him. He filled his shot glass, raised it in Thordon's direction and flashed him a smile.

***

One of the Hork-Bajir near the bar drew his Dracon sidearm once he'd recovered from the light of the blast through the window. Following his example, the other troops near the bar did the same, looking around nervously for their target. One of them made a call to the rest of their forces. The team that had gone to check on the large, grounded ship began to move back in their direction, also drawing their weapons.

***

Hiding in the bushes, the cloaked man spoke softly into what looked like a small microphone, "Al. Hey, I could use a little help here. I need something."

Over the communicator came a voice, almost human, but with more of an echoey tone to every syllable, "Whoa. You're still alive. I'm impressed."

"Now, Al."

"Right, right. Did you notice what I did as we were landing?"

"What, the basement, or the screaming you were doing?"

"No, it looked like Kindler-boy's ship survived."

"Ah," the cloaked man replied, glancing towards the still-smoking crater near the bar. "Okay, thanks. I'll see what I can do."

Parker appreciated Morgan's support. He never intended on making Temrash the center of ridicule. He had hoped that Temrash had just taken what he said to heart. But he instead tried to justify his actions. When Asda spoke up about Andromeda waking, Parker quietly thanked her for the change in subject.

He looked at temrash a moment longer before moving to Silver. He placed his hands on her shoulders to show support.

<That's great. As if I need anything else to feel bad about right now.> Temrash thought to himself. Fletcher was dead, whcih probably could have been avoided, and he had broken rank by giving permission to do something he had no authority to give.

"I'm sorry. I'll just go watch the door again." He said, and left the room.

(lol, thanks. A bit of backstory: Morgan has believed these past 10 years that his wife was dead. It was recently discovered that she was indeed alive and being held by the government of the universe they're from. There was recently a rescue mission to save her.)

After a moment, Andromeda opened her eyes and saw Morgan for the first time in ten years.

"It's true," she said, "everything they told me. About what they had done. I wasn't sure if I could believe anything they told me. They had also told me you were dead."

"I had believed the same about you," Morgan replied. "When we learned you were alive...I almost couldn't believe it was true. I just wasn't sure what you would....about how..."

Andromeda reached up a hand to stop Morgan from finishing his sentence. "You're still the man I married," she said firmly, leaving no room for argument. "I just wish that our girl was here. I'm certain that--"

"Don't be too certain of anything," Morgan replied. He was helping Andromeda to sit up. "I have a surprise for you."

Morgan turned to Silver and motioned for her to come closer.

Thordon looked at the person in charge a moment. When the human smiled at him, Thordon merely continued his gaze, keeping any emotion other than disapproval from his face.

The Director rose an eyebrow as he watched Thodon's reaction to the situation. He had personally seen the strength of the being, and to see the face he was making would cause him pause. After over 600 years of travel and dealing with the scum of his universe, a great few things scared him, but that face, that was scary.

(I'm debating writing a story about Morgan's background. Why the CG grabbed him and his time in holding at the facility.)

"They're hailing us again," Corliss snaps, staring at the Yeerkish text as it scrolls across a new holoscreen.  "Perhaps if you stop frying them we can avoid having to take flight?"  He heaves an exasperated breath and decides to be brash.  He reaches forward and lightly taps the holoprompt to accept the hail, on an audio wave only.

"May I be of assistance to you?" he asks the commander's designee, conversationally, in Galard.

"I don't know," Elayne shook her head in response to Trey, "but I'd rather not get involved. We don't even know what timeline they're--"

She cut herself off as an impossibly bright light and deafening sound came from the main room of the Bar. Already holding onto Trey's arm, she seized Mar as she staggered against the wall, losing her balance for a moment. She could not imagine how disorienting or painful it would have been had she been in the main room still.

"Should we leave? This might get ugly," she whispered, her ears still ringing, not sure if they could even hear her.

((Just a heads up, guys. I'm leaving town tomorrow for Hilton Head and won't be back until next Sunday. I've been told that internet access will be plentiful, but in case my in-laws are liars...well, now you know where I've disappeared to. :P I'll have access to RAF through my phone regardless, so if I don't post for awhile and you need me to please don't hesitate to pester me via text. Tara and Marie both have my number. :) ))

Efaen shoots Corliss a look of pure contempt as he answers the hail, but she relinquishes the weapons, begrudgingly waiting for a response to the hail.

<Why does it matter what their purpose here is?> Efaen spits coldly, <They are Yeerks. Imperial Yeerks, nonetheless. Your hesitation only proves that you are not as separate from them as you claim.>

---

Trey rocks backwards, allowing his back to thump against the wall as a flash of light fills the main bar, leaving spots behind his eyes. Shaking his head to clear his vision he focuses on Elayne's face, indecision clouding his face.

"What if there's even more out there?" he asks, "is there a window or something...we can't just run out there."

~~Sorry about being gone. Things got hectic at home. I also hurt my wrist, so this will be a kind of quick post, I will do Keiko's later....again sorry.~~

Silver had put one of her hands over Parker's as he rested them onher shoulders. She had been quiet through everything until Asda had said that her mother was waking up and she froze, watching the woman on the table as she spoke to her father. She only had memories and dreams to go on for her mother. She heard the sound of the voice she had only heard in her dreams and it pulled at her heart. When her father beckoned her over to him, she had to take a minute to find her legs and she slowly stepped forward. Her side still hurt from her wound, but she never felt the pain as she walked over to stand beside her father and look down at her mother. As soon as she seen her face, she had tears streak her cheeks as a smile broke out on her face. She was the same as she remembered her. She looked to her father a moment, licked her suddenly dry lips, and spoke in a whisper. "Hi....Mom."

((Mythica, that's a great sentimental post for one handed typing ;) You shouldn't hurt your wrist. I hear it's painful. Hope that feels better soon >.< Jessi; hope your trip out there rocks, regardless of the availability of interwebs :D))

The commander quickly downed two shots of the vodka the bartender has given him, then picked up the bottle to examine it, in spite of the lack of label.

I think I overpaid, he thought, shuddering at the taste.

His hearing finally began to return. He took another look around the bar and shouted out to no one in particular, "Sorry for the mess! The man I'm after has a tendency to take a bad situation and always make it worse!"

He put down his shot glass and put in a call to all his forces in the area, "The target was just in the bar. He can't have gotten too far. All troops be on alert, and move towards that area."

***

A Hork-Bajir voice spoke over the comm, responding to Corliss' question, "Hold your fire. You are directly interfering with a search for a dangerous fugitive. If you continue to fire on us, we will be forced to destroy your ship. You are to drop your cloak and submit to a search of your vessel. Lower your shields and surrender your ship. Resistance is..." the voice cut off as every troop in range listened to the commander sending his message.

"Oh... Never mind. It seems our trouble is not with you. Um... please avoid shooting at us so that we can continue our operation... The Yeerk Empire thanks you for your cooperation."

Seconds later, the two Bug Fighters that had escorted the transport to the ground lifted into the air and began to drift towards the bar.

The Director takes a drink from his own glass, "Well, now that your man is no longer in the bar, I suppose you can leave now. Your presence seems to put my friend on edge." He nods down at Thordon.

Thordon continues to stare at the human in charge. He was waiting for any further orders to strike. He was ready to stop any injury, and he knew that that human would be the one to give the order.
