The hooded figure turned its head back towards the human teen who was now playing a cheery tune on a small harmonica before looking back towards the director. "I suppose..." the voice was breathed out like mist. "Why do you ask?"

The Director answers lightly, "Nothing specific, just making small talk. Everyone else prefers to stare and gossip apparently. I figured a nice small conversation might help put me at ease. Selfish of me, intruding on you like I am, but we do what we can for our own comfort. Even in odd... wrong places as this one."

<There's something strangely familiar about that Director fellow,> says Mike thoughtfully.

<Besides being British, you mean?> Corliss laughs.  <Hm, well.  Until you figure it out, I'm just as curious as you are.>

"Oh really?" the hooded figure replied. "I find gossip pointless, nothing but rumors," apparently the subject was touchy with the subject because the voice turned cold. The figure was quiet for a few seconds before sighing. "I've been meaning to ask someone and now is as good as any. Do you know any ways two travelers can get some cash around here?"

The Director looked disappointed, "Sorry, I can't help you there. I never have any use for the stuff. What do you need cash for?"

Trey takes a seat and looks around at the tables occupants, his gaze landing on Elayne last.

"No, thank you," Trey says with a small smile, "you've been too kind already. I wouldn't want to impose..." he trails off, feeling somewhat awkward, and drops his gaze to the table. When he chances another glance upward he notices that the one table member he is unfamiliar with - a man with a British accent - is staring at him.

"Something wrong?" Trey asks gruffly, feeling his face flush red.

----

Making her way back towards the shipyard, Terenia begins to demorph. She moves swiftly, pausing only when she must switch from two legs to four, and does not stop until she reaches her Bug Fighter.

<What exactly is your plan, Terenia?> Efaen asks.

<I haven't quite figured it out yet,> Terenia responds, ordering the Bug's hatch open and stepping back to let the rampway fall.

<So why are we here?>

<Seems to me,> Terenia says, walking up the ramp, the only sound around the clopping of her hooves, <that I can't come up with a plan without preparing first. Doubt I'll get much planning done back in that bar, with crazies from every corner of the galaxy strutting around. Besides, there's too many inter-dimensional things in there to make me comfortable.>

Terenia looks around the Bug Fighter, as though waiting for it to tell her what to do next. The ship is relatively small, with only one main cabin that houses navigational controls and a weapons array. A portable Yeerk Pool is propped up in the back corner. One of the storage units is open, spilling out various materials, from Terenia's last visit.

<I do not understand how you plan on-> Efaen begins.

<Sh!> Terenia hisses, <you're breaking my concentration!>

<You are an imbecile, Terenia,> Efaen says, <what is it you are trying to prove?>

<I'm trying to keep you alive, you Andalite nitwit,> Terenia replies scathingly, <now shut it.>

Terenia seems at a loss as she looks around the nearly empty Bug Fighter. She is about to give up when suddenly her gaze falls on the navigational display. She approaches it, resisting the temptation to simply take off and leave this place. She knows that she will not get far before Ossanlin's Dome Ship shoots her down. Instead, her eyes travel to the communications array.

<Well, well,> Terenia says with  a chuckle, <I feel an idea coming on after all. See, Efaen? Sometimes human instinct is good for something.>

Belzar noticed Terenia rushing out, and decided to leave Keshin. She was making him think thoughts he would rather not think. She made her way into a ship. "Uh, hello again Terenia. If you are leaving, can I come with you? I grow tired of this place. I'm getting dirty, and I think I have a winged insectoid in my system. The mechanic gave me a translator, which has been helpful, but I need a new place to stay."

Terenia turns in surprise, her concentration broken by Belzar's sudden presence, <No, you cannot come with me,> she says, somewhat more curtly than intended. When she realizes how cruel she sounds she softens her facial expression somewhat.

<What I mean to say is,> she continues, <I'm as stuck on this rock as you are. I am not going anywhere, and if I try I'll be blown to smithereens. Nice folks in this bar, eh?> She glances around the ship nervously. It makes her wary to know that this being would willingly walk onto an unknown spacecraft without so much as asking permission. Perhaps it is simply a difference in custom, or perhaps it is because his kind has nothing to fear.

<Anyways,> Terenia says, <I'm in the middle of something private. I would prefer if you left me alone. Go back to the bar, I'm sure some of the folks there won't mind talking to you. Someone might even give you a lift.>

She turns her main eyes away from him, considering the conversation to be over.

((gah! sorry for not posting sooner!))

About half an hour of trying to remove his dead brother from the confines of the tin-can that was his armour, Paul had some trouble because when the Hydralisk had attacked, it had destroyed some vital pneumatic pumps and that caused some strife in removing the arm and chest plates.

Once he was free, Paul crossed his chest, grabbed his brothers solid-gold cross and he placed the remains of his armour off to one side, ready to be used as a tombstone.

Deactivating his helmet entirely, the visor rose up and he finally got a deep breath of air that didn't smell of death. Holding his C-14 rifle at ease, he walked towards what he hoped was some form of building.

Belzar left Terenia. She couldn't help him, so he made his way out and back to the bar. He then remembered about Paul, who he had apparently forgotten about. Apparently he had finally managed to get his comrade out of the suit, and was heading towards the bar himself, so Belzar decided to brave the inside and enter.

Corliss shakes his head lightly.  "Nah, just sorta lost in thought," he replies to Trey.  He offers a handshake to the boy.  "My name is Corliss Three-Eight-Two, and my host's name is Mike Leicester.  You're Trey.  We 'eard about your dad, and we're sorry."  He glances up at the rafters.  "This is one helluva place to land without expecting to.  You can consider us friends, I expect, and perhaps we can help you."

The figure paused. "... repairs..." it replied carefully. "Our ship broke down before we arrived on this planet." The hooded figure scanned the room. "Thank you for your help..." he turned away from the director and walked towards the bartender and ordering another drink of the same golden liquid as before.

The human sat in the  corner stuffing the musical instrument back into his cloak and was now staring blankly at the opposite with his head propped up on his hand.

"You're welcome." The Director had further questions, but the cloaked man made it apparent that he no longer felt like talking. The Director looked around the room, so far nothing too interesting was happening, there was the group of humanoids that seemed to keep to themselves, the new strangers in search for cash, and the four-armed flier who was now in a trance, though he looked asleep. The Director picks up his mostly full glass and wanders out side and sees a centaur-like creature staring at the robot that was on the crashed ship. He seems to be having a conversation with it, however it seems one-sided as it hasn't spoken a word. As approaches, he sees why; the creature doesn't have a mouth. The Director has a curious look about him as he gets nearer. The closer he gets, he starts to hear the other end of the conversation in his mind. Telepathy, well that explains a few things.

He walks up to the doorway and gives a knock on the hull of the ship, "Hi there, you lost too? It seems to be a theme here, lost souls falling in this big dull place. Anything I can do to help?"

Keshin notes that Belzar is leaving his side and nods curtly. The things that they were suggesting were probably bothering Belzar. <Nobody wants to believe that they're expendable.>

<No kiddin'. When ya feel like nothin' matters, you figure ya might as well be dead.>

Keshin then looks toward the direction the Bar is in and states, "We should probably get back. It looks like they have that thing with the ship handled."

Keshin then wanders slowly back in the direction of the Bar.

Mar glances nervously towards the two strange newcomers, particularly the large hidden blue man. He does not have pleasant memories of that sort. One group does not fit the profile, but their connection to the Light disturbed him. Another group are in fact sworn enemies of his, though the aura of this creature does not match a Malay either. I shall wait until I am sure what it is I am looking at.

Mar notes Corliss' friendliness and sighs. "My you rebels are a trusting bunch, considering. Then again, the boy is in a bad way. Perhaps you can assist him in his efforts to find a place."

"Trusting, no, but friendly, yeah, for the time being," Corliss replies curtly to Mar.  "Enemy or not, the kid lost a parent.  Humans are big on that sort of thing, if you 'aven't noticed."

((Damien, just a quick note, I don't mean to be nitpicky--you should try and separate your action sentences into smaller bits, there are a lot of run-ons with a lot of "ands" sandwiched in there, and it makes your actions a little bit harder to follow.  This goes for you too, Spartan, and all of us :P  Just some RP etiquette.  Thanks guys.))
