((XD I saw that movie. I absolutely loved it. Though I suspect Mar has a...far more direct method of entering his body. ^^; And yes, Jayne is awesome. "We were both kidnapped by hill folk never to be seen again. It was the best day ever." ))

Mar glances at the image of Seran taking Ossanlin and smirks slightly. "Careful careful, Ossanlin. I will see you when I awake, whatever it may be. And as for the wounds my abilities inflict...it is because my power draws from my own body mass to form objects. And in that pitiful form, that is all the mass I have. I will discover how my other incarnations managed, in Time. Goodbye then. Be careful."

Mar's smoky, odd form then slowly enters his avatar, which has the odd effect of making it look as though Mar's dead body is being possessed by a demon. A few moments pass as the mist slowly coalesces as a kind of aura around Mar, visible in the Timestream. Mar's green eyes then shoot open, his body abruptly sitting up and holding his chest. (Weird tenses and pronouns with this. XD) He glances at Ossanlin and around the room in sudden, very human panic. "What...what are we doing in the Timestream?! Ossanlin, did you bring us in...oh...wait. I needed to get here to get...me. Ach, what a convoluted mess. I see Precious finished her errand. I'm glad." Mar smiles pleasantly.
*******************************************************************************************************************
"Trust me, Corliss probably has gotten himself into a mess plenty of times without my help," states Keshin with a bit of a laugh. "I'm just speeding up the process."

Keshin then turns to Elayne and mutters, "Giving the ship an autopilot might not be so easy when she's not in the same time, or even the same timeline. For all we know the ship could take her home, but to home in our time. That wouldn't really go over so well."

"Good point, Keshin. That'd be a trip, pulling a Marty McFly," Elayne smirked, then gave a growl of irritation, glancing up to Myitt. "Yeah, can you believe it? We're still freaking using Windows." Finally, the hourglass stopped spinning and a browser popped up, presenting a medical journal search engine. She typed on the touchscreen and several results appeared. "Alright..." she murmured and selected the first article, brow furrowing as she tried to make out the medical jargon. "The **** does this even mean?" she muttered.

Keshin glances over the medical documents that Elayne is looking at and sighs. "I'm less of a medical amateur than you, but even I can't make sense of that. Thank you for at least trying to get a good look around though. And...Windows?" Keshin snickers. "Why didn't humans choose a more Yeerk-like system?"

Silver nodded and smiled. "I am sensitive to magick, or anything close to it." she said as she let him lead her back into the bar and over to her Father. She kept her arm linked with his, just because she like the thought of being close.

"Magic? You mean the time portal?" They walk up to Morgan and Gaz who have just opened a coffin.

"What'd you guys order a dead guy for?"

~~Good thing you did, 'cuz I was gunna.~~
----------------------------------------------------

"I guess that was it." she said and shrugged it off. When she seen the dead guy she wrinkled her nose at the smell. "Ugh, I know people have odd hobies, but Dead Collector's is a new one." she said.

"I don't think they ordered him, missy" John said, the late 1940's way of talking coming out in him.

"Gaz, I take it that you know this guy?"

Ossanlin nods at Mar now again in his human form, at least the human form Ossanlin's familiar with.  He takes Mar's hand and reaches out to take one of Thordon's four hands as well.  <I don't wish to impose, but I will be dragging three back out of the timestream instead of two this time and it will be more difficult.>  The timestreams seem to move around them all again until Ossanlin locates the point in the current timestream reality just a few minutes after the three had left and wills the streams to stop.

<I would appreciate any energy you can spare.  The last time I did this there were only two of us, and Mar had to drag me back out of my own mind once we were merged with the current thread again.  I hope to avoid that or worse this time.>  Ossanlin concentrates, this time actively drawing on as much of Thordon's strength as the many-armed being will allow, and the thread begins to grow larger and larger.  Soon it seemed giant, filling up the entire view of the three, many smaller filaments now visible.  Ossanlin closes his eyes and pulls all three of them into the current thread, merging their existences once again with time's heady flow.

Ossanlin places the return portal closer to the treeline not far from the pond near the GESB to avoid any messy complications with beings occupying the same space, and light bends and seems to fold in on itself in that spot, energy radiating from the re-entry of the three beings.  As suddenly as it bent, the light seems to unfold, the three beings becoming visible once again.

((Depending on your post Parker, I'll decide what condition Ossanlin is in and illustrate it in the next post.  Oh, and if anyone is thinking the phrase "time's heady flow" sounds familiar, you heard Stewie say it on Family Guy.  XD ))

((And yes, it was an absolutely delightful visually delicious movie!!  If any of you guys haven't seen it, catch it in a theater in 3-D before it's too late!  I promise promise promise you won't be sorry.  The movie's Avatar btw, hence the joke.  :P  I'm gonna see it at least once more before it leaves theaters.  I've already seen it twice.  :D ))

"Yeah," Gaz said. "We knew him. He was getting info on the CG. He was good, no one knew about him. At least we thought so."

Morgan walked up and looked at the body.

"This looks like Caven's work," he said.

"This was one of the few who supplied Cortex with info," Gaz said, "if Caven found him..."

"He didn't say anything," Morgan commented. "If he did, Caven wouldn't have shot him. He loses his temper easily. I know from experience. But he always makes it a clean shot."

Silver stepped forward a little. "Whatever happened, it isn't good. You guys say that no one knew he was there....or wasn't supposed to. I would say they foud out, and they aren't happy with us. This is their warning card." she told them as she looked over the body.

"Oh shut the **** up," Elayne grumbled to Keshin good-naturedly. Then she looked up and shook her head. "Look, I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. I'll make you a copy of this information, though. Maybe you can use it if you find a doctor or someone with more knowledge down the road." She reached for a transportable drive, then hesitated. "These things are based off the old USB ports; that probably won't work for Yeerkish computers, huh? I'll just give you a hard copy." She made a few selections on the screen and, a moment later, the hum of a printer could be heard inside the cabinet at Elayne's feet. She gave a sheepish smile. "I'm a little old-fashioned about how I like to read long documents."

"That seems sensible," says Myitt, squinting at the readout on the screen.  "Who would want to stare at a white light for hours on end, trying to read a document?  It doesn't make sense.  Holoscreens aren't even a big improvement, on that end.  Just green light, instead, I guess."  She steps away from the screen.  "Sorry, Keshin, I'm not much help with medical stuff either.  Corliss might be better at interpreting it than I am, if you're still on speaking terms."

<I really want to watch Back to the Future, now,> Tara sighs.

<Hooking up a DVD player in the fighter wouldn't be impossible.>

<God, why didn't we think of this before?>

"Exactly," Elayne nodded in agreement with Myitt. "And a mechanic who's squinty-eyed from reading too much does no one any good," she smiled. When the printer grew silent, she bent over, tugged open the cabinet's latch, and pulled out a thick stack of paper. Clipping it together, she offered it to Keshin. "Hope it can do you two some good," she said as she straightened, standing from the pilot's seat. "Let me know if you want me to run another search some time, okay?"

Myitt leans over to Keshin.  "Just don't let anyone in the human medical community see the date on that paper."  She turns back to the screens, curious.  "What is the date on this paper, anyway?"

"I always lose track of the date when I'm offworld." Elayne frowned as she peered at the screen, "So it's January 11th already." She looked up to Myitt and added, "That's 2010." She glanced to the printout to see that the timestamp was indeed marked in the corner. "Yeah, that'll raise a few suspicions."
