<That is odd,> Efaen notes, following Claxter's gaze to the lake and the occupants there. She recognizes Zoshonel immediately and an unconscious shudder runs through her as she remembers Terenia controlling him. The person beside him is new to her, or at least she had not noticed her earlier in the bar.

Efaen walks slowly, despite the urge to stretch her legs, absorbing the nutrients in the grass as she goes. When she gets to the lakes edge she gently sticks a hoof in, and the water is shockingly cold as it runs up her leg.

<Curious,> she mumbles.

Gelia nods goodbye to Zoshonel, but then sees two Andalites approaching.  She recognizes one.  Efaen, the one that had gotten shot twice.  The other one...she believed his name was Claxter.

When Efaen put her leg in the water and shuddered from the cold, Gelia mutters.  "Ah--that might be my fault.  My apologies."  She points her hand at the circle of ice in the middle of the lake and raises it out of the water, then closes her hand into a fist.  The ice crumbles.

"Sorry."  Said Gelia again.  "I tend to conjure ice when I need to think."

Elayne could not help but give an eye roll from her position over the computer console at Temrash's last words. She presumed that Keshin and Joanne must have a symbiotic relationship of sorts, and that Keshin's decision to not "abandon" his host was likely due to the benefits he gained as much as any affection he might hold towards Joanne. Then again, perhaps this was not the case at all; she was not known for seeing the best in people, after all.

"Keshin, to answer your question," she said, glancing up from the spinning hourglass on the console as it attempted to connect to the Earth network, "I don't have much of a plan, except to repair whatever damage I caused when I landed and finding myself a new pilot. That or getting a crash course in flying so I can get this baby home. And no pun intended," she shook her head with a smirk.

((Yes, Firefly is the greatest thing ever! :D ))

Mar calmly watches the interweaving threads of Ossanlin's past and his possible futures weaving together, sifting through the memories with a slight smile evident in his feelings. These are quite exposed once he is in the Timestream; it is difficult to hide anything here. <Ah, so you are my friend,> states Mar with a confident tone in his "voice." <How perfectly inane. Still, I must admit that keeping the incarnation for so long gives me the same advantage my enemies already have. I need that information, that mortality to proceed in at least one possible direction.>

Mar then carefully attempts to help Ossanlin undo the strands around his body. He's not entirely sure he is ready to exit in such a weak form, but he suspects the foolish Prince will help him. Images of Mar's own past intrude on the space, despite his best attempts to push them away. An ancient image of himself, young and simple-minded and very loyal. Much like one of Ossanlin's warriors. Images of thousands of  lives with varying endings, some of them fruitful and complicated and others wasted. A woman of another race expressing her love for him, the woman herself connected to a person in the Bar from Ossanlin's memories. A fight with a powerful warship Mar knows well, seemingly made of shards of crystal. Mar winces uncomfortably. <We...should leave. The longer we stay, the more all of the lines of Fate connecting to all three of us will be exposed. Is my body ready yet?>
*******************************************************************************************************************
Keshin grins. "Well, better to have a simple plan than no plan at all," he mutters as he wanders closer to Myitt. He understands Myitt's concern. It is hardly easy maintaining the life he and Joanne have had to run all this time. "And...don't worry too much about our expenses, Elayne.  I was just wondering what was possible. I can't show you...exactly what's wrong because I think you'd get a little freaked out. And it expends too much of Joanne's energy. And..." Keshin rolls his eyes. "Yes, Myitt. I did make a deal with Corliss. Let's not air that dirty laundry in public, shall we?"

"Hey, I figured I wanted to hear it directly from you," says Myitt.  "From the horse's mouth, to use another colorful human idiom.  I'd like to know just what that fool of a brother, though I love the guy, has gotten himself into."

She turns to Elayne, wanting to change the subject, anyway.  "Elayne, can't this ship utilize some sort of emergency autopilot function to get you to some sector of space where you can find the kind of human civilization you're used to?  That's standard navigational control procedure on Yeerk ships, at least the ones that I have experience with."

---

"Then that means he could very well have sent someone or something here to trace your whereabouts," Corliss says urgently.  "He could even have placed a tracking device on your ship.  I'm going to run a diagnostic search of the area for anything suspiciously Imperial."

He stands up and walks the short distance to the computer terminal in the grey metal room, starting a scan of the tech in the area, trying to focus on small, localized Imperial signals.  "This may take a while," he murmurs.

(("What y'all order a dead guy for?" XD))

Ossanlin nods to Mar and sees some of his memories, it was like looking into some sort of fantasy world.  Strange and incredible at the same time.  He looks up from the coccoon and ****s his head at Mar, a small smile crossing his eyes.  Mar would soon remember, it was rather interesting to speak with him while he was beyond the emotional plane.  Ossanlin almost smirks as he lifts his hands and gestures at the coccoon, the threads finally falling apart around Mar's avatar, the strands of light dissolving as they seem to fall away.  He was surprised by the fact that Mar was not very good at clouding his own past.  Perhaps it was just that difficult to do.  His own past is laid out like a book to be read.  Suddenly an image from his time under the control of Seran flashes through his barriers and his face convulses as he rebuilds the barriers yet again.

<Yes, it is past time to leave I agree.  I'm sure you're perfectly capable of entering your own avatar, but I happen to remember that any type of ability used with your avatar injures it, so I'll try and ease the transition.>  Ossanlin closes his eyes, his illusory tail twitching in rhythm as he almost seems to chant...almost.  Small white filaments of light grow out from Mar's avatar, thousands upon thousands of strands reaching up towards Mar's spiritual form, pulsing with the rhythm of Ossanlin's tail flicks.

((Yes I'm totally thinking about the movie right now.  Those of you who've seen the movie know absolutely what I'm talking about...Mar is inhabiting his avatar after all.  :D ))

Efaen looks at the girl in surprise, <You did this?> She asks incredulously, stalk eyes fixed on the spot where moments ago a layer of ice had been floating, <What technology is this that allows you to create ice through mere thoughts?>

--

Terenia sighs and goes back to her game of Pong, not particularly surprised that Corliss has not responded immediately. The thought of Visser Three sending anyone to fetch her is not a pleasant one.

<Cryokenesis. Interesting. It is technology, or a natural ability like Zoshonel's ability to breathe fire?>

"I'm thinking it's natural." Zoshonel said as he walked closer t the Andalites.

Swinging her chair around again, Elayne nodded to Myitt with a laugh. "Well, yes. There is an autopilot that could be programmed to get me off world, but I still am not sure how I managed to enter atmo and land without crashing and burning. And I'm not convinced I have enough luck to do it again. I wasn't really in a hurry to get home anyway, but if there's anything you would like me to do, I can try to hurry it up." She spun back to the console and growled at the still-spinning hourglass. "You think they'd be using a freaking different icon by now," she muttered. "Who the **** uses sand to tell time anymore?"

Gelia nodded.  "Correct, it is natural.  Somehow, it has evolved with my species.  I'm...not sure how it happened.  But we're all able to do, all my species."

"Come on Gelia. Let's go find Temrash. I'm pretty sure he's outside, since his scent has been on the wind." Zoshonel said, and began walking towards where Temrash was.

((Corliss did reply! XD  He's scanning her ship and others in the area for unknown Imperial signals.))

Corliss sends the readouts of local ship scans directly to Terenia's pool console, so she can see what he's seeing.

"Nothing yet," he says, looking over the readouts.  "But that's not entirely surprising.  Imperial tracking devices are notoriously difficult to find."  His tone suggests personal experience.

---

"Well, any one of us could try and help you pilot back to safety, but we'd have to do it quickly and safely enough so that we don't end up meeting ourselves or any of that Back to the Future stuff," Myitt replies.  "Most of which is actually, theoretically, pretty accurate."  She grins at the little display, stepping around Joanne and walking closer to peer over Elayne's shoulder.  "Hahah!  Even in the future Bill Gates and Steve Jobs have a death grip on human computer technology.  That's funny."
