((Sorry for taking so long to respond Chad...anyway...her e it is.))
Ossanlin smiles as Claxter accepts his invitation. The younger Andalite showed promise and definitely needed some guidance that his current Prince was not supplying with any grace whatsoever. <Excellent, I shall proceed with the transfer paperwork as soon as we return to the Tyrennian. I don't see any reason for you to return to your previous Dome Ship. If you have any possessions onboard we can have them sent to the Tyrennian's next-scheduled dock. There shouldn't be any questions as to how or why you left, so no awkward answers to supply.>
He chuckles and glances down at his katana. <Well, yes actually, I do use them in close-quarters combat. I know it's quite unorthodox and it took me a great deal of time to work up enough arm-strength to use them at all. My philosophy though is that a Shredder, while dangerous, is only dangerous when it is fired. A blade is dangerous at all times and can cut, even if your initial thrust misses. These have an added bonus as well...they're polybonded amorphous cytellectonine...me tallic crystal. The edge is no thicker than a single molecule, and they can absorb and redistribute energy better than hull-plating...if a dracon bolt hits one, it'll be absorbed into the blade and dissipated.> Ossanlin smiles again, not sharing the fact that he recently has fused the katana with energy-blades to give them energy manipulative properties as well...that would be a bit difficult to explain without going into the whole Silver Blade thing and that was the last thing the young Warrior needed.
Ossanlin looks down at Mar's body and suffers a pang for his friend. Well, Mar had wanted Ossanlin to take care of it....vaporization seemed so primitive...Mar deserved better. For now he simply closes Mar's eyes and moves his body to a dignified position. For all intents and purposes he seems to be sleeping. Ossanlin had a sudden idea but couldn't implement it right away. He would place Mar's body into the timestream, preserved outside time itself...then perhaps if Mar came back...he could still inhabit his old avatar with little trouble and perhaps the memories and experiences would be preserved! It was a neat and tidy solution, but Ossanlin would have to wait a bit longer...as long as the avatar did not start to decay, it would be fine...but Ossanlin guages that he should have the body in the timestream in an hour or less. That should be enough time.
Ossanlin follows Claxter nearly to the ship, but doesn't get too close, the female human-andalite seems to be uncomfortable with his presence, so he doesn't wish to push it. He sends a private thought-speech to Claxter. <<If she needs fuel, the Tyrennian can supply her. Simple modifications to our fuel-cells will make them compatible. Or if she desires, I can supply her with an older-model tail-fighter. I do not wish to make her uncomfortable, which I seem to do simply by being present. The offer stands if she wishes.>>
