Parker stands next to the burnt out cells, "You sure you want to refill these things? They look pretty toast."

Corliss edges away from Fox's ship and steps over to the hatch of Terenia's fighter.  He pauses, close to Keshin's head, and grins, raising his eyebrows.  Then he looks back into the cabin.  "Yeah, we'd be happy to oblige, too, Terenia.  I always carry spare in the Skimmer.  Are they badly cooked?"  He winces.  "Yea', yea', they look beautiful.  Wait a tic and I'll be back, all right?"  He claps Joanne on the back in a friendly way and walks off towards the woods, where his nearly fixed Skimmer sits.

((Yeah, I seem to remember that Terenia's problems are complicated and kind of sad. I've done Roleplay with her character too. x3  But Keshin doesn't know about any of that. ^^))

Keshin smiles a bit, bending over Terenia. "You know for somebody in the middle of a mission, you don't seem to be in much of a hurry. But that's just me. Anyway, I think that you're probably right. We can go to my ship and get the new cells from there. I'm all stocked up."

Claxter decided not to voice anymore assumptions about Terenia, so maybe she didn't work for a Yeerk. He was actually kind of interested in her, though he wasn't sure why. Some of the others were Yeerks, which he didn't yet feel totally comfortable around. Prince Ossanlin seemed nice, but he was afraid someone would tell him about a secret test of character that Claxter failed because he really did try to make friends with Yeerks. Plus Terenia's private remark earlier regarding him.

Or maybe it was as uncomplicated as her being a girl that wasn't taken, unlike Alic. Even if she was born Human. He hadn't really had much interaction with girls before. He decided to accompany Terenia and keshin to her ship, and possibly help out.

Corliss pulls several auxiliary fuel cells from the Skimmer's storage and closes the ship back up, walking back through the brush and to Terenia's ship.  He's sweating by the time he gets back--three fuel cells at twenty pounds each were quite a handful.

"Okay," he exhales, setting two down on the floor of the open hatchway, then pulling the third from under his arm, placing it next to the other two.  He grins up at them, addressing Terenia.  "Do you need any more, love?"

Fox then looks at the work being done and crosses his arms. His eyebrows then raise high d Fox remembers that Slippy is coming. He quickly turn around and runs to the ****pit of the Arwing while his tail is flapping up behind him. The window then opens with the back of it raising and the front staying dwn making an angle for entry. Fox then, in a hurry, closes the shuttle by pressing a button and calls the Great Fox. "Great Fox come in." ROB then answers: "Yes captain?" "I don't need any assistance anymore. Thanks." "Ok captain." "Fox out." Fox then opens the ****pit and jumps a few feet out of the Arwing. The shuttle then closes. Fox, casually, walks over to the group and asks ,with a stern voice and eyes locked on Terenia:, "What is this war?"

<Yes, that should be more than plenty,> Terenia says, <Thank you.> She dips her stalk eyes in surprise when the fox-like humanoid approaches her. She had seen him talking to Parker earlier, but had not paid him any mind. Now it seemed as if he were addressing her. <It is a war, like any other war. Two sides with a murky in-between fighting for territory. Only in this case the territory is the inside of your head.>

After hearing the answer Fox scratches the hair between both of hs ears. He then asks Terenia in a stern and strong voice: "What planet?"

"You're welcome," says Corliss brightly, jumping up into the fighter's cabin and carrying the heavy cells over to Terenia.  "Glad you didn't forget the in-between," he adds wryly, handing one to her.  He looks over at Fox.  "Andalite and Yeerk planets, mate.  And a slew of worlds in between."

Terenia arches her tail blade, not threateningly, but just to make sure that he realizes she can be dangerous. She does not like being spoken to so gruffly, and this fox-man has already rubbed her the wrong way.

<What planet?> She sneers, <take your pick. The Taxxon Homeworld, the Hork-Bajir Homeworld. Leera. Earth. I hear there are even some spies on the Andalite world. The Yeerks are everywhere, pushing outward through the galaxy, and the Andalites have spent the last half century trying to stop them and failing.>

"Don't forget the Anati system," Corliss adds, then clears his throat and falls silent, working on replacing one of the fuel cells.  "Uh, d'you happen to have an optic welder, and maybe some gloves?  Christ!  Ahh--"  He waves his hand, cursing.  "Speak of the devil.  Bloody thing's slag."

<There's an external tool compartment around here somewhere...> Terenia mumbled, eying the hull of her ship critically, <They put it there so that if you ever have to leave the craft while in space you don't have to lug a sack of tools with you. Emergency protocol and all - ah, here it is.> She touched her palm to a panel and it slid out, revealing various tools fit for basic spacecraft repair. She looked through the mess for a moment before picking up a long shaft-like object and handing it to Corliss, <This what you're looking for?>

Corliss takes it and flicks it on.  It hums and several round lights start to burn crimson.  The glow casts a creepy glow around the cells.  "Yes, this should do.  I suppose all the gloves are made for Hork-Bajir," he mutters, setting to work on removing the melted bits of the old cells.  A white beam of light emitted from the end of the stick-like device easily carves away the excess damage.  "So," he says casually, "this ship is mostly of Yeerkish design.  Do you mind me asking how an Andalite was issued a Yeerk Bug fighter?  I reckoned for sure your average Andalite scientist would die of happiness if he had a Bug to study."  He picks at some of the cooled plastic with his fingernail.

Fox looks at Terenia and her tailblade and thinks a smile.

He then looks back up at Terenia and with a very kind and sincere voice says: "Thank you. I apologize for raising my voice."

Fox then turns around, with his left eye looking to the side, and casually walks back to his Arwing.

The shuttle opens up and Fox jumps back in. Instead of calling the Great Fox he calls General Peppy.

With a rushed tone to his voice Fox says: "General Peppy come in."

"Yes Fox. You seem in a hurry. This is not like you. Calm down and explain the story.

I got the report. There's a war. Where is it?"

"From what I collected it's in several planets and the enem is a bug type creature that enters the brain, somehow. They're at Earth right now. You need to increase security General."

"What about you Fox? Your there alone with no one but these couple, 5, people that you say that you can't trust." "I wil talk to them General." "Ok Fox. Contact me as son as possible." "Fox out," Fox then opened the shuttel and jumped out. Fox then walked over to the group and said in a not loud but elevated tone: "Everyone. I have something to say." He then waits for the group to listen to him.

Keshin glances over the exchange between Corliss and Terenia and sighs a bit. "Guess we weren't able to help after all. At least I'm glad that you got your stuff together, hun."

Keshin then glares at Corliss. "Oh and by the way, did you smack me on the back earlier?"
