Jagill went back over to Ardiss, and sat down. "Yur too tense." He said. "Nobody's gonna get you. If they wur here for yu, they be Hork-Bajir. And not chatty."

"Shut up, you fool," Ardiss snaps, "There could be Hork-Bajir outside the bar, waiting. This one Yeerk could be a scout, a spy or a red herring," her lip curls at Jagill's incompetence, but his comment has allowed her a moment to slow down and think about her situation more rationally.

<The Empire does not know that I have changed hosts. They will be looking for Kara. Perhaps if I do not draw attention to myself...>

Ardiss sits back down in her barstool abruptly and fixes Jagill with the most sincere smile that she can muster.

"So, how was the bark Pepsi?"

<I wonder if they'll question why I'm here?> Christine thought. Even though she was still listed as an owned host, someone might get suspicious.

It was different." Jagill said. "I'll handle this." Still playing along with the ruse, he headed out the door, and called to Zoshonel.

"Hey Jagill. I've been practicing with a pistol and rifle!" Zoshonel said when he came back to the bar.

"Good job. I need you to go look for things that aren't there."

"Can you be a little clearer?"

"We're playing a game, but Ardiss doesn't know, so you're part of the game now."

"Ok. I'll make like I'm looking for...what? Loyalist Yeerks?"

"Yes."

"Ok."

Jagill went back to the bar, and told Ardiss that Zoshonel was looking for the enemy. "So you're still safe. Temrash say calm down, so calm down."

Ossanlin smiles back at Alic.  "Well, I'm glad for that."  Ossanlin quirks an eyebrow again.  "You're spoiling my fun, you know who I am don't you?"

He looks up as Jagill approaches.  "I am who I am and no one else, unless you count a body as itself and then I'm someone else altogether."  Ossanlin smiled a bit at the hork-bajir as he walked away.  "I suppose it depends on one's view of philosophical matters."

Ardiss standing up gains his attention quite suddenly and he looks up at her, tilting his head a bit, before looking back at Alic.  "I'm afraid she's a bit jumpy...perhaps I should go over there and calm her down."

Ossanlin downs his Pepsi and puts on a lopsided grin, pretending at slight inebriation.  Ardiss couldn't have seen his drink...he hoped.  Otherwise he'd look like a fool.  Of course he'd already managed that pretty well.  He acts on impulse and kisses Alic on the cheek, whispering in her ear...  "I'm sorry, this brain is causing me to act without scruples."

He stands suddenly and catches a hand on the bar feigning light-headedness and walks over in Ardiss' direction.  He doesn't act 'smashed' as the humans would call it, one drink would not account for that, he walks steadily, if looking extremely relaxed.  "Mind if I sit down?"  Ossanlin looks at Jagill and then Ardiss, sitting before waiting for a reply.  "I tried talking to that girl over there but she didn't say a lot.  Like how so many humans ended up here when humans don't have space-faring capability...she seemed sweet though.  Not a controller."  He looks at Ardiss significantly and leans back in his chair.  He suddenly wishes he'd brought the cup of Jager with him...it would've lent to his diguise, but he didn't trust himself not to do something that would betray him when sipping the stuff.

Jagill settles down to a relaxed position, and checks to make sure Temrash's container is still under his seat. "Humans aren't the weirdest things around here." He said simply.

Ossanlin looks at Jagill warily.  "A hork-bajir...you must be a controller too.  Or maybe you escaped?  Either way you're not wearing a uniform."  Ossanlin acts like he's really just noticed the fact that Jagill is a hork-bajir and all the ramifications that went along with that have just popped into his head.  He acts a little uneasy, then looks back at Ardiss again wondering what she'll say.

"I have a master." Jagill said, tapping the Kandona container under his chair. "I'm voluntary. No I don't wear uniform."

((sorry guys, been moving this week and its been a bit hectic!))

Ardiss stiffens notably when Ossanlin makes his appearance at their side. She clutches her refilled Kool-aid glass so tightly that her knuckles turn white. For a terrifying moment she can't bring herself to speak and she wonders if she has lost control over her host. But no, it is merely the body reacting to the panic that Ardiss is feeling. It takes less than a moment for Ardiss to regain some semblance of control. She loosens her grip and smiles at Ossanlin.

"You may sit." She allows, nodding to an empty stool. She is still very aware of the Dracon Beam that she is holding in her left hand.

"Who are you?" In her unease with the situation, Ardiss' history as an interrogator seeps into her voice slightly.

Mar smacks his forehead. The odds of a Hork-Bajir being voluntary in the Yeerk Empire are about the same odds as the Space Bar suddenly being made of cheese. Then again, a lot of strange things seem to happen here. I hope Ossanlin does alright. Mar continues to watch him, but then suddenly notes that the gem on his gauntlet is flashing. Mar circles a finger around the gem and a message pops up. The message says this:

This is Bel. Weird situation you've got there. I'll have the ship ready for you soon, Your Majesty. At least that'll give you an exit point.

Mar groans. Bel's informal tone is always incredibly grating, but he's the closest thing Mar has to a friend. When he's not trying to kill him. Mar then closes the screen and continues to watch the scene.

Ossanlin tilts his head at Ardiss.  "Well, you don't seem like the kind to answer questions either.  Your manner befits a controller quite well unless I miss my guess."  Ossanlin shrugs relaxedly, tugging the cuffs of his uniform lightly.  "If you want the formal version, I am Yeressat-139 of the Sereck-Nai pool.  Former helmsman to an unfortunate Yeerk who shall remain nameless.  If you want the casual version, you can call me Yeres.  My host's name is Sai.  He says hello, as do I."

Ossanlin pauses, noting Ardiss' tension and the particular flexure of one of her arms that spoke of her posession of a sidearm.  "Hey, don't get all fifth degree on me here.  Unless...you're Imperial aren't you?"  Ossanlin darts his eyes back and forth suddenly acting nervous.  He's rather proud of himself for putting up such a facade.  If she had control of the conversation, she might open up a bit, perhaps lower her guard.

The Engineer considers this new request briefly and accepts, eager to help. It whistles affirmation once and waits for the Spartan to direct it to where it is needed, one tentacle reaching for the disc.

Lighter then Some wished to examine the shape, size and weight of the disc so its calculations could be accurate and the machine built to the proper dimensions.

Parker gave the Engineer the skeet disc and led him back to the ship graveyard.

Parker notices Zoshonel cruising around the grounds and decides to go join him; leaves the Engineer with a parting request, "Let me know when you're done, have fun bud."

Parker heads off to join Zosh in his route.

The Engineer absently flicks a tentacle towards the Spartan as he leaves too intent on its task to pay much mind to anything but the scrap in front of it.

It began to work, taking pieces and testing them to find the right parts. It worked in near silence though occasionally it would burble in mild frustration and toss some parts aside in favor of another.

((Ima gonna let the Engineer sit 'ere for a bit til I think its done))
((Mebbe bring in something big to squash Thodol (whom I need to do something with) with, should be amusing)

Alic shrugged playfully. "Of course I know! But I don't think I'm spoiling your fun. If I thought you were who you are pretending to be, THAT wouldn't be fun!" She also put her attention on Ardiss. Damnit. Why would someone give her a weapon?
Alic's face turned bright red at the affection Ossanlin was showing her. A kiss was definately a funny thing she had never experienced. Awkward... But she enjoyed it. Speechless, all Alic could do was nod her head at Ossanlin as he walked away.
