A man staggers and slumps against a tree, clutching his head.  Whether the man tripped and fell into the tree, found the tree from exhaustion, or even existed near the tree at all but a moment ago could likely provide for a rousing debate that would likely find no answer.

The man appears to be human, fairly tall and thin, with shoulder length brown hair and crystal blue eyes.  His manner of dress seems a ways off for the location he has stumbled into.  Seeming a bit far from advanced, they are a mix of cloth and leather designed specifically to allow for movement.  Aside from various pouches around his belt there is a long knife, and seeming to contradict everything mentioned before, a gun.  The gun seems to be of older fashion, something akin to a short barrel rifle with a wider barrel than should be used to fire bullets.  Stranger still instead of a magazine there seems to be a red crystal affixed to the back end.

Seeming to somehow be at terms with this strange appearance as one could be the odd character simply  looks around taking in his surroundings, and then growls lightly and mutters "..ugh... what now?"

Keirdan frowns, and responds to Danika. "I don't know any other kids. Just pirates and stuff. And Shalner would go away if she had her ship. She does things, and sometimes they're bad." He pauses to tie a shoe that's come untied, and adds as an afterthought, glancing up at Danika, "Usually they're bad."

After the shoe is tied, Keirdan continues to force his way through the underbrush in a rather clumsy manner, a frustrated look on his face. He rubs at his eyes, leaving a streak of dirt across his cheeks in the process. As the boy begins to approach the area where the ship should be, he stops short as he notices a man leaning against a tree 20 feet in front of him. He glances nervously at Danika and responds in a soft voice. "I think that guy is leaning against my tree." He subconsciously backs toward Danika, wary of the stranger.

Danika picked up the smell of someone who seemed to come from nowhere. She looked at the orb that always followed her, and it scanned the area. It told her an armed Humanoid was in the area. "I think someone else is nearby, Keirdan. We may need to see if he's friendly or not, before we continue."

Ears twitch slightly, and his eyes flick over to the two for a brief moment before he closes his eyes, giving off the impression that he doesn't notice them.  He rubs his temples with one hand while he brings himself into a better sitting position, ready to spring up if needed.

*A kid and a...cat?  Fantastic... just where have I ended up now...?*

"You are in a kind of glalactic crossroads of sorts. There is a bar in that direction." Danika said, turning her head to indicate which way the bar was. "You may have food and drink, provided you have money. I believe the barkeep will take just about anything. The denizens are varied, but are reasonably civil. You may rest there, as you seem to be in need of it."

"Galactic... crossroads...?"  Rubs his eyes a bit harder.  His thoughts of what is going on distracted by a sudden dire need of food.  "Hmm... i'll figure that one out later... Food i could use though, I am feeling like i drained myself recently.  That way you said?"

Stands and wanders past the two heading in the general direction of the bar, still keeping a close eye on them.  "Cheers."

Keirdan watches the man, then darts forward, he holds out his hand and introduces himself. "Hi, I'm Keirdan. What's your name mister? If you go back there don't tell my brother where I am. He'll get real mad and I'll have to go back."

Raises his eyebrows at the forwardness of the kid, then grins roguishly with a bit of a chuckle.  Crouching down he shakes the boys hand.  "Pleased to meet you Keirdan.  My name is Zarris.  I'll keep quiet, but you try and keep safe so he doesn't get mad at me either, ok?

Keirdan grins, "Thanks Mister!" He turns around, and grins at Danika. "This is the tree. I think we crashed it somewhere over here."

"Ok. Let's go." Danika said as she walked alongside Keirdan. The orb could already sense a ship nearby, and went over to examine the outside.

((Chad, it's cloaked. I don't think they're going to find it. The orb probably would, but Keirdan isn't going to be able to. If Danika wants to find it, I'm cool with that.))

Mutters quietly to himself as the boy walks out of hearing range. "Crashed? ...hmm... Guess i should keep an eye on you kid... just in case your companion there misses a step..."

Flicks his fingers and a small piece of crystal silently and unnoticably drifts across the air and disappears into the folds of the kids clothes.  Grinning that it went by unnoticed, he stands and continues off towards the bar.

(Sorry if I got ahead of myself)

The orb probed the area, but couldn't find the exact location of the ship. The cloaking mechanism was messing with its sensors.

"I don't think a ship would be too hard to find, but I don't see it. Perhaps it's cloaked." Danika said as they continued walking.

Ardiss frowns at Corliss, still distrusting, but becoming exasperated by their prodding and arguing. She leans back in her chair and crosses her arms, hoping to send a message of defiance, or at the very least annoyance.

"My plans, before I ended up on this rock, were to distance myself from my commanding officers and hide in plain sight. I intended on going to Earth. Visser Three, the colossal fool that he is, hardly keeps track of who he has placed in hosts. I would be able to live there and use his ground based pool for sustenance while I stockpiled my own private rations." Ardiss sighs and looks around with a scowl, "I was en route to the planet when I ended up here. I thought that it was a Z-space shift, or perhaps a navigational error, although now I suspect something greater might be in the works here."

She looks from Temrash to Corliss, wondering if either of them are trustworthy, certain that both of them would turn their backs on her if it were in their best interest. "I have no intention on rejoining the Empire, or on associating with them more than is necessary to maintain cover. I do not wish to be discovered. I suppose the possession of this new host was a blessing in surprise. The human girl that I had previously was....recognizable ."

"Hmm," says Corliss thoughtfully, rubbing at Michael's stubbly chin.  "It could work, for a while, but even the incompetency of the Empire would've eventually caught up with you.  I once worked for a faction of The Sharing, based in England.  You must know that they've recently begun arbitrarily scanning people who come to feed, even in the more remote splinter cell pools in various countries outside of the United States and Canada.  Especially if your host is unrecognizable.  It's a matter of paranoid security, I'm afraid.  It's why I can't show my bloody face on Earth, not with this old mug."  He grins sheepishly.

<Great, glad to know I'm someone's old mug,> Michael gripes lowly.

<Didn't mean nothing by it, mate.>

<Right, of course.>

After a moment, he continues.  "Perhaps it really was good fortune that you ended up here."
