[Myitt]

"Alright, thank you Gaz," says Corliss, putting the link away and glancing at Ardiss, swimming endlessly in the little plastic prison.

[Gaz]

Gaz put the communicator back on her hip and looked back at the console. She was glad she had added those upgrades to her ship a while back, and that The Vagabond could handle going so fast for so long. It was a good ship, Gaz was lucky she got it.

"Keep an eye on this, Fletch," Gaz said. "I'm going to go practice some more."

[Terenia]

"What are you going to do with her?" Kara asks, looking beyond Myitt and the newcomer to Ardiss' temporary home is, "I mean...erasing memories is complicated, right? When I was....when Ardiss worked for Visser Seven it was only used in the most necessary of circumstances. How will we know if it works?"

[Chad32]

"Temrash told me to make sure she stayed alive until he returned. That's all I can say. Are you her partner?" Zoshonel asked. With his limited knowledge, Kara would be the first involuntary host he had heard about.

[Myitt]

"Yes, it is complicated," says Myitt tersely.  "The only way we can be sure it worked, that she isn't lying, is if we do another memory probe."  She sighs.  "It's not something I'd exactly look forward to doing, but I suppose it is better than more killing.  It is permanent."

[Gaz]

In a few hours they would be back at the bar.

Gaz shook her head as she swung the cutlass around back in the cargo hold. She had never taken on a passenger before and it wasn't in her usual habits to carry cargo. But until something better came along, Gaz didn't really have other options.

[Terenia]

"No." Kara says harshly, her voice hard and cold for the first time since Ardiss left her, "I am not her partner. I was her slave for a decade."

[Chad32]

"Slave? Oh, I see. I was almost enslaved once. Luckily I happened to meet Jagill, and escape. Hopefully he and Temrash will be able to change her mind, and help her get along with her next host."

[Terenia]

Kara looks at Myitt in relative surprise, "You aren't going to let her have a new host, are you? Even with a memory wipe...she'll just do what she did to me all over again."

[Gaz]

Gaz had practiced in the cargo hold for a couple hours and decided to head back to the helm.

"Trust all's going well," Gaz said as she sat back in her seat.

"You would have heard otherwise," Fletcher replied.

Gaz had a reply when she looked at the computer.

"We're approaching the Space Bar location," Gaz said. "Prepare for landing."

As Gaz lowered The Vagabond into the atmosphere she tapped the console and said, "Hey, our parking space is still open!"

[Chad32]

"I don't know what Jagill and Temrash plan to do, but I'm here to side with them." Zoshonel said casually, as he continued to drink his beer.

[Gaz]

Gaz landed her ship back where it had been with no problems.

Minutes later she walked back into the bar and said, "Oh good! My seat's still open."

Fletcher was not far behind Gaz walking into the bar.

[Chad32]

"Hey guys. Welcome back. Nice to officially meet you." Zoshonel said when she and Fletcher entered. "Did you bring anything for Ardiss? This container isn't looking in the best shape."

[Myitt]

"That remains to be seen," says Myitt patiently.  "If it were up to me, right now, no I would not allow her back into a host, even after a memory wipe.  But she may need to remain under surveillance.  This can be done in a pool, but my people may not be willing to devote the attention and resources necessary to keep her secure and alive.  What do you propose we do?"  She nods at Gaz and Fletcher as they walk in.  "Hello, you two.  Glad to see you've made it back safely.  Is Temrash with you, with the device?"

"Hiya Gaz, Fletcher," says Corliss amicably.  "That was fast."

[Chad32]

"What do I propose?" Zoshonel asked. That caught him off guard a bit. He looked at ardiss in the pool. "Reform. Reeducation. It could be easy with a complete memory wipe. Just sipe the slate clean, and remold her to our way of thinking. Although, that sounds a lot like brainwashing. If she can be convinced to change her mind and start over of her own will, then a secind chance could be given. Then we could watch to see if it works or not."
