<Unlike my comrades, I do not put the host's feelings before a yeerk. Though I do enjoy seeing host and yeerk getting along, i am a Yeerk first and foremost.> He said within her mind. <Now let's see.> He fast forwarded to the point where Ardiss was in the pool. The scenery got hazy. A dark fog fell over the timeframe between when Tara took her, and when she reentered the pool. Her memory was altered so that she would believe she had never entered Tara, and had been in the pool ever since she first entered. She would believe that she was left inside, while Temrash and Myitt were taken out. One final search was made, then Temrash left.
"There' It is done." He said out loud. He temporarily turned off the computer that would allow Ardiss to hear them. "Those who are inexperienced sometimes believe this procedure is more complicated and risky than it actually is. You may all pretend the new truth that Ardiss never entered Tara's head. As long as Ardiss doesn't go to excruciating lengths to attempt to remember the truth, then she won't." He then turned the computer back on.
"All right, Ardiss. The next step is to find a new host for you. We could try a nonsentient creature that could still be used, and be useful. Or I could find a voluntary host that wouldn't mind switching. Afterwords, you will be liberally monitored to ensure you and the host are really getting along. I will handle that. So, ardis, what would you like to have?"
