((Yes Shen, that's my ugly mug.  :p  Like I said, the pics would be a lot cuter if I wasn't in 'em, though 'Leksey doesn't seem to mind my looks.  :D ))

Ossanlin's eyes widen in surprise and then return to their smile.  <If you would truly wish to accompany me on the Tyrennian...well I couldn't ask you to do such a thing but I would be honored...I would more than enjoy your company.  Not to mention the tail-fighting tournaments we have, you might be able to teach a few of my warriors a couple of techniques.>  Ossanlin continues to grin, enraptured by Alic's presence, by her touch, her feel.  Her skin and fur pressed against his in their warm embrace.  <You are one incredible femme, Aliciania.  Like a young flower struggling against all odds to grow and bloom...yet still a flower to be feared for your thorns are perfectly capable of wounding or killing anyone who crosses you.  Both beautiful and deadly.  Perhaps there is something in the air, but I seem to be intoxicated, entranced, enthralled by you.  And I, for one, have not consumed any liquor for several hours.>  He continues to stare into Alic's eyes, his smile unwavering.

((The doggie is still cute. :3 And really, you weren't that bad. XD))

Mar, noticing that Kara has left his side, sits up slowly and painfully to follow her. He also wants to watch the proceedings, noting that they're going to begin the memory wipe. Ugh. I have to sleep soon or I won't be able to kick this alchohol. At least Shal's work is dulling the pain.

Mar glances at the container and states, "Many Yeerks have done terrible things in the name of their Empire, and have been brainwashed by its ways. If you brainwashed her, you would be no better. If you need to mind-wipe her completely, than it would be best not to take advantage of the resulting person."

"Would you prefer we destroy her?" Myitt asks Mar bluntly.  "I'm not thrilled with either choice, but surely one at least allows her to live and not endanger thousands of others?"

<You would be honored to have me there?> It was Alic's turn to be surprised. It was obvious they had developed strong feelings for eachother, but she was quite sure he still thought of her as a child. She had no title or has ever received recognition from her kind. In fact most shunned her and thought if she was near then Visser 3 must be right around the corner.
Then the mention she could be teaching other warriors! Alic tried to hide her excitement, but her eyes were wide and sparkling, and she was shaking a little. So much she could be a part of that was never imagined..
Alic blushed. Never has anyone said such flattering things. Her words ran away from her again. Ossanlin was making her weak, and it wasn't a bad thing but she hated being speechless.
<Ill go with you when you depart. Ill behave, too. >
Gaz's ship had returned.
<I truely am enjoying myself. More than I have.. Ever. But everyone has returned and I feel we should head back.> Anything to escape the dizziness he was starting to cause her. She wondered if he would always make her feel that way.

Temrash finally made it back. He landed the craft, and brought the memory wiping machine inside, as well as a few other tools.

"Jagill!" Zoshonel said in excitement, and got up to go to him. But what alchohol he took made his head swim, and he sat back down.

"Hey. You staying away from strong stuff?" Jagill said.

"Sure. Sure."

"Nice see you again."

"Same to you."

Temrash switched back. "Gaz, did you bring out the pool I sent you with? We are ready to begin." He said, and cleared away an area of the bar where the broken chairs and tables had been placed.

"I don't..." Kara flounders for a moment, searching for a way to express the tirade of emotions she is currently feeling. She fails and shrugs, sagging down into a chair to watch silently.

"Do you have to wipe all of her memories? Can't you just keep her from knowing what she learned while she was in Tara?" Breekan asks.

"I'm not planning to wipe anymore memories besides what she took from Sara. Unless she wants me to. Were you under another impression, or have you been discussing that in my absense?"

"The latter, I think." Zoshonel said.

Temrash went to get the pool, and put her in. Once she was in, he initiated the computer that would allow her to speak. Anyone who spoke to her could be heard by the computer translating the words into sonar. "Ardiss? Can you hear me? It's Temrash. This new pool will serve a much better prupose than the other container. It can allow you to speak to us, and has an interactive computer to keep you entertained until I find a suitable voluntary host for you. But you will have to agree to two conditions. One is that I must wipe your memories of when you went inside Tara's head. The other is that you must treat your next host with respect and compassion. Do you understand?"

Relieved for some sort of stimulation, Ardiss quickly connects to the available computer. When she "speaks" the computer translates it into a type of thought-speech that can be heard by all.

<I do not wish to have my memories wiped. That is a dangerous procedure. You could erase everything. You could kill me,> Ardiss' "voice" is full of frustration, <As for the second condition, I will not intentionally bring harm to a host.>

--------------

Kara shudders as the thought-speech is projected around the bar, suddenly feeling a bit nauseous. She shakes her head, overwhelmed with some combination of misery, sadness and anger.

"We should just kill her," she whispers, too softly to be heard by most people. She puts her head in her hands and waits.

((sry about the bad timing, guys, but I'm going out of town for the day. I don't think I will have internet access. I'll be back this evening!!))

(That is bad timing. Ardiss finally has something to do.)

"I assure you that I have excellent experience with memory wipe devices. The chances of death are abysmall, and I do not intend to wipe everything. Besides, the only other option besides memory wiping is death. that's the only way you may once again be free."

"Um, maybe someone should walk the girl outside." Zoshonel said, as he noticed Kara's reaction to Ardiss' speech. he glanced at Mar, who she had been sitting with earlier.

"I will hook you up to the wiping device now." Temrash said, and plugged a headset into the pool. wires came out, and attached to Ardiss. Suddenly, both Ardiss and Temrash were in her mind. He stood there as himself, and she stood there as whatever she pictured herself as. They were in the bar, as it was when she first came.

"Fletcher can let you back into the ship to get what you need," Gaz said. (if you didn't already)

Gaz sat back down and ordered another rum as she put a few coins on the bar.

"Yeah," said Gaz, "The Vagabond is a fast ship. Has to be, ya know?"

(Something like that happened to me this morning. I was replying to a thread, and the page shifted to something else. So my post just disappeared, and I didn't feel like reposting. I don't know what happened.)

((Ugh.  My phone does that to me, it's like the most annoying thing on the planet.  And for the record Luke you ain't bad looking, neither :P))

"Makes sense to have a fast craft, for a pirate," says Corliss wryly.  He then watches the proceedings with interest, addressing Temrash, or Zoshonel, whichever can actually hear him.  "Steady on, mate, I thought we agreed to wipe everything?  It's too imprecise...the nature of memory, she could have some snippet of information hidden away someplace you can't find or she doesn't even know exists.  Subconscious, yeah?  And of course she won't intentionally harm a host, she might just utterly subdue it and use its body to commit who knows what sorts of morally ambiguous acts.  That's pretty harmful, in itself."

"Yeah," Myitt says, clearing her throat.  "What he said."

((I won't be around for a while either, heh.  Yay, life! XD))

Despite Ardiss' words it is obvious that she has little say in the matter. In her current form she is quite helpless to their wills. When she senses Temrash's consciousness join hers she recoils slightly.

<The only person being victimized here is me,> she says defiantly, <You allow such sympathy for the host, yet none for the Yeerk? You lot are all self-righteous hypocrites posing as rebels. I will not be molded into what you want me to be, any more than I would allow the Empire to mold me into what they wanted me to be.>
