It takes Terenia a moment to process the implications of Corliss' words. When she finally realizes what he is saying she is unsure what to say, a thousand different possible scenarios crashing in on her. Somewhere in the back of her mind a small voice chastises her. What, did you think you were the only person in the galaxy with problems? Get over yourself Terenia. Even separated from Efaen it seems as though Terenia can pinpoint what she would say.

<What...what happened?> Terenia asks at last. She wants to apologize for whatever losses he has accrued over the years, but her morbid curiousity wins out, along with the hope that maybe, just maybe, she isn't the most treacherous person on this planetoid.

Illim raises his eyebrows, amazed at the early date of Fiona's awakening. "Right..." he murmurs, squinting at her to see if she's pulling his leg. "Well, why not," he shrugs. "I'm sure I've heard of weirder things... at some point. So. What's your place in all this? The war, I mean?"

"Oh, I was not suggesting we attempt to cohabitate with them; our ideologies, however, do match insofar as we both wish to cripple the Empire," Tora says, her eyelids fluttering to block some of the light as her pupils constrict. "What if there were a mission both parties could undertake to strike a significant blow? The Dome Ship would not have to know we were working alongside them, so long as War Prince Ossanlin orchestrated their orders."

She sighs and murmurs, "I do not wish to return home empty-handed." Her voice gains a little more strength as she adds, "And why should we not make use of the friendships we have already forged?"

"I understand now that you are not what you were. I can help too. I should be leaving the bar now anyway. My superiors are waiting for me. I'm sure you would have friends in the Authority –– Including myself. After I spend some time in my native stellar control range, I will be heading to a... restaurant. It's near the end of the universe. If you come, you could be tactical advisor to my weapons control officer Xedulan. Of course, that does not necessitate that you take on Reptilinod ranks...unless you want to. Will you come with us?", I asked Frederick.

I sighed, "It's good to have this all back in order again."

Fiona smiles. "I can't prove it without killing my host first, so I guess you'll just have to trust me for now."

"My place in this war?" She wrinkles her nose. "I don't have any loyalties one way or another, if that's what you're wondering. I knew about the Yeerks on Earth because when I'm not in a host I spend most of my time wandering. And since most people can't see spirits anyway... I tend to see a lot of things most people wouldn't."

She shrugs. "Aside from that, I found a host whose boyfriend turned out to be a Controller. You'd think a Yeerk would understand the need to obtain a host." Her face twitches for a moment, then her expression becomes blank. "Anyway, Earth was getting a little... crowded. More Controllers than there were regular humans, and... I'd really prefer not to have a Yeerk host." She cringes. "I'm used to being the only voice inside my head. And not being responsible for anyone but myself."

"Thanks." Fredrick said to Bear and John. "I don't know about being anyone's tactical officer, or even being in an organization, Vogefac. Back before I met a guy that said The One would offer me protection, I just kept to myself and tended to my own needs. I've never exactly been a noble person. I just wasn't actively evil either."

"Don't flatter yourself", I said in a way that denotes friendliness, "I said tactical ADVISOR. Xedulan is my tactica officer, your just...his assistant.", I smiled, "And I said you don't have to join the Reptilinod if you don't want to. But if your that worried about joining a group so soon, maybe we could take you up as a civilian. My personal friend. My friend Gerytou said that the restaurant at the end of the universe is a pleasant place. It's not as small as this shack," I said, gesturing towards the bar, "But it might not be as exciting..."

"I guess I could take you up on that offer. I don't crave excitement." Fredrick said.

Vogefac laughed. And then he smiled, "Glorious! My superiors will be glad to meet you – as a civilian of course."

He cued his subcutaneous communicator, "Cadet Nefenok! Prepare quarters for a new arrival. Humanoid."
"Aye, Colonel.", came the reply.

"Be ready by in...30 minutes. I guess we'll leave then. I have a few...scattered friends to talk to. If you want to say goodbye, you should do so too."

I walked up to John and Bear, "J'kiira...Bear. It's been...fun?," I smiled at the Canine, "Do you wish for another PR/E?"

"I suppose there are a couple of things that I need to do to make sure no one goes hunting me down." Fredrick said. "One of which is talking with Silver's father. After she wakes up. The other is to find that Andalite my body attacked to make sure she's alright. He injected her with something that's bound to have a negative effect on her. He also injected something into John, but he seems alright."

Fredrick started trying to detect Efaen's aura to see where she was. If he could find her and take a look at her, he could tell if she was going to be ok.

He thought about that for a moment...

"That is not logical...", He said simply. After chuckling, "I believe I should follow. I would like to say goodbye as well."

I walked towards the woods, "But, maybe I should see him first, then introduce you. Just in case."

As Trey asked how she'd like it if someone waltzed in and knew her entire life, Vanessa winced. "Oh, right. Well I still think it's a bit silly. It's not like you came here specifically to act like the guy in the back of the theater that yells out all the plot twists."

She was distracted then by the arrival of her food. Her eyes widened. "Jeeze that was fast. What, do you have a food replicator back there or something?" She asked rhetorically, even as she bit into the sandwich with a murmer of pleasure. Chewing swiftly, the girl swallowed and glanced after the departing bartender. "He's not very talkative, is he?"

Then she realized what the boy had said just before the food arrived. Blinking, the girl turned her head to examine him. "Mind controlling aliens? Like Invasion of the Body Snatchers or something? I--errr... is... that... possible?"

Bear shook his head. <I will be fine.> He had yet to try out his hunch about the shock he had experience when he re-entered his body. "Farewell brother." John says as  Vogefak Leaves.

Amused, Trey watches Vanessa dig into her food. His grin fades, however, when she asks for more specifics regarding the Yeerks. He brings his glass to his lips, taking a long sip of his drink, stalling for time, though he isn't exactly sure why.

"It's very possible," Trey murmurs at last, replacing his now half empty glass. A small belch escapes him, but he seems to not notice. "The Yeerks were, I mean are, parasites. They enter in through your ear canal and wrap themselves around your brain. The result is total control over motor functions. You are still aware, but you can't do anything with your body."

Trey pauses again, a look of discomfort on his face. "They are normally blind, deaf and basically helpless. So they sought out hosts to give them control over their world. With a little help from the Andalites they were able to travel the galaxy and gather more hosts. Unfortunately, the Andalites decided they made a mistake and were...are...hell-bent on destroying the Yeerks. In my time -" Trey cuts off, glancing down at the table. "Well, it doesn't really matter what happened in my time. Point is that the Yeerks exist, and so do a whole lot of other aliens."

Now it is Trey's turn to look at Vanessa with curiosity. "So, on your Earth there are no Yeerks or...anything? In the year 2010? Humanity is still self-contained?"
