"So I take it Ertoran has remained uninfested?" Illim asks. "And morph-capable?" His host causes a sudden tinge of bitterness to bleed into his voice.

Upon reaching the Bar, Tora gives a bracing sigh and pushes the door open, looking around for Myitt. She spots her near the corner with the familiar dark-skinned Serid and bites her lip, approaching their table before her nerves fail her.

Bear raced out side and sniffed around he ran off once he found John's scent. He saw John vaguely in the distance. John walked calmly towards the Frederick.

They found Artemis. She had just been restrained by a phantom, and it noticed Vogefac.

"Man, whatever you do don't let it touch you. It will rip your soul right out." Good Fredrick said. He readied himself to fight. "I don't know how much power I have, but let's see how tough it is when I'm not tied down."

<I don't think they like energy weapons.> Claxter said as he shot a few of them. They flew above him and howled, but he kept his eyes on them. He tried to remain calm as he knew if he panicked it would be the end of him.

Evil Fredrick talked to john. "Kneel within the Circle of Sacrifice, and let the energy flow into you."

John stepped into the circle and kneeled down. Just then Bear burst into the Clearing and streaked towards Frederick; growling, hissing and spitting.

evil Fredrick brought up an energy field to block Bear, and his whip sprang up from the grass where it had been making its way to Fredrick. It tried to choke and muzzle Bear to keep him from Evil Fredrick. meanwhile he started his chant while never looking away from John.

Bear slammed into the wall and pulled his head back so he wouldn't get choke but he was still muzzled he twisted his neck and yanked on the Whip. <John! Snap out of it.> John felt a slight noise in the back of his mind like a distant voice but most of his mind was focussed on the Vampire.

Still firing on the Phantom, I groped blindly for the chains that bound Silver, hoping against hope I would not cut her again...

"Yes and yes," Myitt replies, spying Tora and turning in her wooden chair.  Now almost completely at ease, she crosses her legs, her right ankle resting on her left knee.

"Hey there," she says nonchalantly to Tora, her right foot tracing a slow circle in the air.  "Tora, this is Illim.  He says he's with the Peace Movement, but then again you've heard everything.  Of course you already know Serid."

Terenia waits for an answer from Corliss, but all she can pick up is muffled echoes. After a moment of deliberation, Terenia decides to take the risk. With any luck no one would stomp on her as soon as she left Efaen.

<<Efaen,>> Terenia says, despite the fact that she cannot hear. <<I'm leaving now. If you...>> she hesitates, not sure what to say. Terenia is no friend of Efaen's, but she cannot help but feel as though she is abandoning the Andalite. <<Just wake up, alright?>>

Terenia begins to detach herself from Efaen, squirming her way through her ear canal. A few moments later the edge of her slug-like body can be seen poking out from Efaen's left ear.

Tora stops once she reaches the table, grasping the back of the nearest chair and scooting it out along the uneven floorboards. Her feet flatten, glad to be out of the rocky shipyard. She surveys Serid, but she does not sit.

"Hi," Illim breaks the silence. Serid's reaction to seeing Tora surprises him; he's not the mad dog tugging at a chain that he had expected. Instead, the nothlit watches her through their shared eyes with a strange intensity.

"I'd appreciate it if you took your hand off your gun during your conversation with Serid. If it makes you feel better..." Illim says and lifts his own Dracon out of his holster and offers it to Myitt. Then he raises both hands to indicate he is now weaponless. "Sit down, hm? I'll keep him from hurting you."

She slowly sinks into the chair, and the difference in her and Myitt's posture could not be more striking. Tora's rigid back and white-fingered grip on her knees leaves no possibility for relaxation.

It is most likely apparent to observant onlookers when Illim allows Serid to take control, as he leans forward and his pleasant smile dissolves into a flat scowl. "Hello, Ertoran."

Tora licks her lips and responds, "Hello again, Serid."

Fiona groans, rolling her head to the side to look at Ku. "Look, bud, there's nothing I can do for you, okay? I don't know anything about alien ships, unless it's how to fly one. I'm no mechanic. And anyway, I don't work for free. Unfortunately for you, you've got nothing that I want."

She turns back to face the door, squinting at it. Whatever she's waiting for doesn't seem to be coming, though.

"Z-zoos?!" Vanessa stammered with complete indignance. "I'm not a zebra!" Then the girl coughed. "I mean, or any other zoo-related animal." When the first monster--she had to stop thinking of them as that--asked if she had anything else of hers on the ship, she shook her head and shifted the backpack on her shoulders. "This is all I have.."

Her stomach growled as soon as he mentioned food, and Vanessa realized that she hadn't really eaten in... however long it had been since she was abducted. "Ohhh god, food. Yes, please."

When the second of the... creatures... Kevlin, asked where she lived, Vanessa started to respond automatically. "Seven Forty Two Half P--" Then she cut herself off, blushing as she realized how little help her address would do. "I mean umm, Earth. Earth?" She gulped then. "I'm a long... long way from there, huh?"

The voice that had asked if she was okay now shouted up to ask who was with her. Vanessa blinked at that. "Ummm, I... Kevlin and... and Temrash!" She called back before shrugging to the other two. "Can we leave this... this spaceship now? I really don't like it here. Even less now." Then she raised her voice once again. "We're coming out, I think..."

Outwardly, Vanessa seemed to be taking this as much in stride as possible. Inwardly, she was still freaking out. But something told her that giving in to that terror and confusion in this moment wasn't going to accomplish anything. Her parents weren't here. Her friends weren't here. It was just her, and the friends she could make. If she wanted to get home, she couldn't curl up and start screaming.
