"I'm sure you aren't supposed to be here, Vanessa. The Skrit Na like to go to various worlds and abduct a local or two to run experiments and take them to zoos to be on display. There's a chance we can take you home, though truthfully there's a chance we can't. It's a little complicated, and I'm sure this is a bit much for you. Why don't you follow us to our ship, and we'll get you something to eat or drink. Possibly a comfortable place to relax?"

He thought it was odd for Skrit Na to just disappear, but it still wouldn't hurt to give the ship a good once over. Maybe they had some useful things. Speaking of things...

"If there's anything on the ship that belongs to you, we could grab that on our way out."

<Yes, I do agree.> He said. He decided to try shooting the straps of energy, or whatever they were, and they came off. Fredrick fell with a thud, and it woke him up. He looked around confused, but after noticing he was free, he tried to run away. However he seemed really unused to being able to move, and more or less crawled away from them.

<Hey wait. Calm down. We won't harm you. We came in here to rescue our friend silver.>

"You...you came from outside?" Fredrick asked after stopping. "You should return from where you came. If the phantoms find you, you'll be trapped. Like the rest of us."

Myitt smirks.  "Her name is Tara," she says, idly following Illim's gaze out the window before turning her attention back to him. "Tara LaFauci.  That much is available on any of the same Imperial wanted notices you claim to be on.  We've been together, oh...a long time now.  Around six Generations, nearly thirteen human years.  Not all of that was spent favorably, of course, but we get along all right now."

<Psh, do I have any other choice?> Tara says good-naturedly.

Myitt considers the internal comment.  "Most of the time," she adds with a grin.

John came too and saw The Vampire standing in front of some sort of portal. He looked for his guns but they were near the Vampire's feet. "Where are my friends!" he demanded.

<<We should help her if we can.>>  Kevlin nodded. "Where do you live Vanessa?"

"That's good," Illim chuckles. "You know, I like Serid. He's different from any other host I've had." With a self-directed eye roll, he adds, "Well, obviously. But I mostly mean his personality. I've had a fair share of human hosts, but Serid can be real..."

<<Would you say "tentative"?>> he consults his host.

<<No. And I am not a human, so do not compare me with them,>> Serid snaps, trying to will their eyes back towards the window.

Illim stubbornly keeps them fixed on Myitt. <<I know that,>> he says in exasperation. <<You're just...>>

Serid gives an internal growl. <<I am not in the mood for your banter. Let me look out for her.>>

<<She'll be here in good time. Relax,>> Illim mutters to him. When he speaks to Myitt, his vocal tone is just as exasperated as his internal one. "Difficult."

Back in her familiar human body, Tora steps outside Myitt's ship and closes the hatch behind herself. Her bare feet reflexively arch away from the sharp gravel, but the only touch she feels is the Dracon in her hand. With a resolute stride, she begins walking towards the Bar.

Fredrick smiled when he saw John. "They are in a place where they should not be, but will soon return enlightened. Come, and you will be enlightened as well." He said, trying to use his hypnotism against John.

A girl's voice calls back that she is okay, and Trey releases a heavy sigh of relief. He is not sure why he cares so much for her well-being, except perhaps for the fact that she arrived in a similar manner as he. Lost, confused and none-too-gracefully.

"Who's on board with you?" He calls up, wishing he knew how to open the hatch. Her earlier scream indicated that she had probably been boarded by some species she did not expect, but that hardly narrowed it down at this place. He sighs and begins to walk the perimeter of the two linked ships, looking for an entrance.

Not sure why you're bothering, Trey thinks to himself. You don't even know if she's human, or friendly or anything. And clearly someone else has it under control. He continues walking, just the same.

For a long time Terenia lies in silence, not bothering to prompt Efaen into waking and not really thinking about what has just transpired. She is merely relieved to be alive and free of the risk of nothlitism. As blank as she tries to make her mind, though, she cannot prevent one small wisp of thought from running around and around. Ossanlin saved us. This thought makes Terenia both furious and, for some strange reason, ashamed.

<<Corliss?>> Terenia calls at last. Now that she is back in her own morphed form she can use open thought speak of her own. She is no longer limited to the morph's capabilities - capabilities that are useless when Efaen is unconscious. Her voice is shaky, but clear. <<Corliss, are you there? I...I think I need to leave Efaen. I do not know how long she is going to be out, but I don't sense her coming to anytime soon. I-> she cuts off, running through a mental list of all the enemies she has created since arriving at the bar. She dwells on Ossanlin's name for a few moments, a big question mark hovering over it.

<<Corliss, I'm coming out.>> she repeats, forcing strength into her voice. <<Please don't...don't let anyone hurt me.>>

((Ok.))

"No," Vogefac replied, "We won't. We're not staying long. Come on Claxter, let's get these ones down, and out of here. Frederick...or whoever you really are...you should leave."

Corliss nods, unsure if Terenia can really hear him with Efaen's ears, but he tries anyway.

"It's all right, I won't let anyone harm you," he says, turning Efaen's head gently to watch for Terenia.

<Oh, how sweet,> Mike sneers.  <Reckon I just got like, a thousand cavities, mate.>

<Do be quiet,> Corliss murmurs.  <I only want to help her.  She's vulnerable without a host.>

<You just go for the vulnerable girls,> Mike retorts.

In spite of herself Myitt laughs.  "Of course he's difficult, I can't imagine an Andalite-Controller that wouldn't be, regardless of his opinion of Yeerks in general."

John was used to staring down his enemies and so he was easy prey for the Vampire's hypnosis. He couldnt shake off his gaze and soon he was in a trance.
Bear woke and, with a start, realized that John was gone he couldn't pinpoint his sent in the swirling mass of sents.

The real Fredrick looked around in the expanse. He could run, but he was a little concerned for those who had rescued him. "You know, tell you what. I saw a soul pass through here recently that's probably the one you're looking for. You can't really free all the souls in this void. There are countless. What say we get your friend and leave. maybe free a few people to distract the phantoms a bit. But we'd all be here the rest of our lives if we tried to free every soul trapped by The One. come on. she's this way." He said, and headed in Silver's direction.

<Thank you for your assistance. I suppose you really are nice.>

"Hey. I'm no saint. It's just that if I do this for you guys, we'll be even if we get out. That's all."

Outside the evil Fredrick held John in his gaze. "You don't seem to have any special abilities, but I do not refuse a potential soul the opportunity of enlightenment. Come forward, Human."

"Thank you for your assistance," Vogefac said.

"Claxter, I believe I can run faster than you. You cut down some random people, and I will find Artemis. Unless there is some morph you have that will go faster than 96 mph?"

<Vogefac I think you're the only creature I've heard of that can go 96 miles an hour. I'll stay here, but try not to get out of thought speech range in case one of those phantoms shows up.> Claxter said.

"She's this way. Give me a life Mr. 'I make a cheetah look slow'." Good Fredrick said.

Claxter went around blasting restraints and freeing people, though the more people he freed, the more attention he got. the phantoms were starting to notice. the phantoms were ghost-like creatures that could rip a person's soul right out of their body. No special circle or chant required. This was because they could physically touch a soul itsself.

He was sure if he wasn't following this human he could've found her faster, but he followed him anyway.

Whenever he saw a pole, he blasted the restraints with his Epar. He was definitely not getting as much attention as Claxter, he was sure, but sensed one or two Phantoms watching him.
