"My ship!" I said.

It was levitating! Floating 5 feet off the ground and rising.

"The damage we took in our battle with the Kqorrians severely damaged the Zetylon's self replication and antimatrix destabilizers. In other words, our ship had no immune system or self-healing abilities. It was in a state of rapid decay. By now it should not be able to do anything but send communications."

I looked again. Yes, yes it was above the ground. 7 feet...9 feet. It began to land.

Claxter had been a bit distracted, and hadn't actually helped John up. Vogefac would help, though. <I would be interested in hearing about that as well.> He said as he headed towards the bar with the ship.

I stood John up to my right, and positioned myself to the right of Claxter.

"If my ship is operational, that allows for the possibility that the engines and Integrity Field emitters are on excess power...yes, yes it might work!" I yelled obliquely.

(You need to stop using first person narrative, Scinlao. Go third person.)

Claxter tried to put John's arm around his shoulder. His own arms couldn't support much. <You want to use your ship to just blast the Vampire? Is that what you're talking about?>

((Oh? Ok...))

"Not at all," Vogefac began, "It would not be that simple...well, in a manner of speaking it is precisely the same, but really it is not."

After waiting a moment, Vogefac continued, "My ship is equipped with the greatest technology the Reptilinod Authority has to offer. Including sensors. If we could find Anathema's life-signs, we could fire a... miniaturized Dynamic G-Space Harmonic Gravimetric Compression Pulse."

He waited to see if they understood.

<Oh...one of those? Of course.> Claxter said. He didn't know what that was, or what it would do, but he acted like he did. Maybe someone else would ask, then he'd know.

There was a moments pause.

"Also known as a Dynamic Compression Pulse...or a G-Pulse. It utilizes G-Space graphical representation to Harmonize a VIF blast coherent to relative space...."

More blank stares met Vogefac.

"It levels everything to ground Zero. In a focused miniature beam, it may be possible to restrain the effects to the local quarter, thereby saving the bar and everything around it...but it will level a fourth of the planetoid."

<That may be a bit much. I know this Vampire is dangerous, but is he dangerous enough to justify taking a large chunk out of a small asteroid?>

It will not take a 'chunk out' of the asteroid. It will simply level it. It will be flatter than any area of the meteorite. And he will be crushed with it."

<I suppose it might work. However we'd have to find him, and make sure no one is around where we fire the weapon. Whe should we start looking for him?>

"Let me check the status of my ship."

Vogefac called his 1st officer, "Commander Ckaaby? What happened with the ship?"

Ckaaby came over the intercom, "Well, we realized that the ship was deteriorating, so our chief engineer got to work on repairs. We were able to fix the ship. I hope you do not care that I took the liberty of command."

"No!" Vogefac said, "Not at all. Are you prepared for a Dynamic G-Space Harmonic Gravimetric Compression Pulse?"

A moments pause.

"Sir?"

"A miniature G-Pulse Commander. It would cover one fourth of the asteroid."

"I...let me clear it with the chief Engineer."

He turned to Claxter, "I need to go to my ship. I will inform you when we are ready."

"Andalite, take this communications device. I will contact you when I am ready."

He ran to his ship, and went inside.

John made is way into the Bar and sat down. "Thanks for helping. I got really tired towards the end." Bear made his way to his usual spot under the table.

<You're welcome. Just take it easy. There's a doctor named Asda around here somewhere that may be able to better tell if you lost an unsafe amount of blood. I'm just unsure where she is.>

Fredrick noticed the sky darkening. This was good. He felt safer in the darkness. He wondered if there were any serpents in these woods. His whip was actually a serpent servant that was corrupted and made loyal to him. With his current whip shortened and dead, he would need a new one, which was the main reason why he was in the woods right now. With this lone Andalite, though, he may have a new opportunity. He kept track of the male Andalite's aura as he continued looking around for any snakes.
