In response to the laughter John blushed just a little bit. "It was pretty obvious. That much of the galaxy? I wonder if you are from a different universe? I don't know how I couldn't have heard of you before."

Slowly entering the bar, I pull a pair of sun-goggles from my pocket, slipping them over my eyes. The less they know, the better. And the more inclined they are to help.

Walking towards the bar, I take a seat across from a woman wearing a green jacket with a red bandanna who seems to be talking to a strikingly pale man in a blue, capped attire.

Looking around the room again, I begin to look past people. None exhibit any severe illnesses and their body temperatures are... normal.
Save for the pale man with the black eyes.

Cold as ice... I wonder if she knows that the man she's talking too could be described as clinically dead...

Shortly after being seated, something.. unusual happens. A half-man, half-bull enters the bar, standing over the jacketed woman protectively, declaring her as his daughter.

At this point, I can no longer contain my confusion.
"Pardon me... But could someone please explain to me where I am and why there is a mythological figure and a clinically dead man wearing a cape in here? Or have I lost it...?"

Corliss groans.  "Oy...can't really move here.  Is anyone monitoring Mike's general neural health?  Everything's gone...awfully fuzzy..."

Vekk turned to Kikulon again, {App–––––––– Vo––f–c a––– ––d– a –––d ––oice i– fr–––d–.}

Vekk said, "Not from another Universe. Although several of our scientists conjecture there may be other dimensions where the Reptilinod dominates the Galaxy. But, certain...dampers.. .halt our efforts. Namely the Kqorrian Dominion, the Alvie Unimatrix, and the Kelbrid Empire."

Terenia abruptly stops eavesdropping when Corliss speaks, turning her attention to the multiple monitors that adorn the med bay. She looks around at them, in a loss. With morphing as an immediate fix, she has not had much experience with medical technology, and Yeerkish writing is difficult for her to read even after all these years.

"Um...I'll get Temrash," Terenia says tersely, not liking the idea, but putting her prejudice aside for Corliss' sake. Stepping back from the cot, she moves towards the doorway. Her gaze flits from one Hork-Bajir Controller to the next. Kevlin, Temrash and Ossanlin. Three Hork-Bajir bodies in close proximity. For some reason, the notion makes her shudder.

"Hey, guys?" Terenia asks, clearing her throat to get their attention, "I don't know how to work any of this equipment in here. Shouldn't someone be, you know, monitoring him or something?"

This piqued Kikulon's interest, "Indeed? A hub between Universes? Perhaps we are from another universe. We have Human's in our universe as well, you very well may not be from our galaxy."

Fenebok mumbled something.

I spoke, "What was that Warrior?"

Fenebok glared at me, "I said perhaps he is an operative."

I laughed inwardly, "An operative? Warrior, you are filled with the strangest hypotheses."

Fenebok growled, and jumped up again. He fell to the floor, and literally crawled to Vogefac. Vekk leapt up from his chair in disgust. Fenebok tried to get up. When he failed, he swiped at Vogefac's leg. Vogefac lept. Fnebok got up, and tried to strike again...

Temrash let out a sigh. two people in the room with Corliss, and neither of them knew how to read a monitor? "Intelligent people should understand computer lingo, yes?" He said mockingly to Kevlin. He went into the bay and checked the screens. "Everything is stable. weak, but stable. With enough time, he will improve. Just rest, Micheal and Corliss. I'll give you more medication later if needed."

"Oh, I should certainly hope I'm not bothering anyone." Fredrick said as he turned towards the Minotaur. There was a bit of confusion, as he didn't expect the father of a Human looking person to be half bull. He also wasn't aware Minotaurs existed. When the looked at Morgan he didn't try to hypnotize him, as he seemed to have garnered a lot of attention. He couldn't very well keep four beings in control at one time.

"This woman said she recently lost a brother, and I was merely trying to comfort her. I came her for food, drink, and socializing." He said with as friendly an expression as he could muster. "My name is fredrick, and I am a sort of priest."

One of the people near him called him clinically dead. It seemed he was aware Fredrick wasn't a normal Human. He would be carful around this one, as well as the first woman with the interesting aura.

"I can handle a med kit. But neurological damage? Dara and I have a simple theory on that. If you hit them in the head hard enough they take a long nap." Kevlin joked back.

"A priest..." I remark with some disbelief.
"And any idea where I am? The only thing I remember is falling and hitting the ground just outside of here..."

Looking around the room only raises more questions for me. Upon closer inspection, I realise that the man sitting next to the cowboy, while still giving off heat, seems to be emanating heat from a body within his body.

This place is just wrong. I remember everything save for where I am and how I got here... Maybe it's worthwhile taking the dead one outside to "interrogate" him... No. Wait. Dead body, dead brain. No memories. No memories means no answers.

Morgan wasn't letting up. He had been around and see all sorts. The arms remained crossed and the eyes never lost focus. And a priest? Morgan wasn't buying it. He was only glad that his wife wasn't in here as well. This...Fredrick was up to something.

"The one who just lost someone," Morgan said, "is a member of my crew and was acting oddly when I entered. I've known her for quite a few years and she's not the sort to get drunk for any reason, not even grieving."

Morgan slightly turned his head when he heard someone else, another new face in the bar, question how someone like Morgan could exist.

"Long story," Morgan replied to the new one. Then Morgan heard the new person call Fredrick clinically dead. This made Morgan's head turn back to Fredrick suddenly.

Morgan's eyes narrowed as he scrutinized Frederick. There was something about Frederick that bugged Morgan, aside from the fact that he had been laying the charm on Gaz and his daughter.

"How odd." Fredrick said after Morgan noted she was acting odd. Of course most people acted odd when he tried to influence them. It was typically easier for an outside party to notice it than the victim. "I apologize. I did not mean to cause any trouble." These people were so apprehensive. Not that bar patrons are usually niave or gullible to start with. The challenge made it more fun, though. He turned to face the bar, and enjoyed his drink. Luckily the bartender accepted his money.

He figured it may be better to try to influence someone when they are alone. as of now he could feed off of the expended energy around him. In a large enough group he could get a good fill without anyone not sensitive to energy even noticing what he was doing. Even if they did notice, it would be enough to inconvenience them.

"Stable?" Corliss breathes.  He processes this, staring up at the ceiling.  He can hardly do much else.  "Stable...that's a good thing.  Yes.  Where is Ossanlin?  When will this immobility wear off?"

---

Myitt stops and stares at Tora.

"Yours was the ship they shot down?" she demands.  "Oh...Tora...Tamora had trapped us aboard her ship, Tara was bound and I thought Tamora would...I thought you were..."

She swallows.  "There was no way to tell which fighter they were shooting at, but I was beyond worried about you and Corliss.  It was such a damn fool thing for them to do," she growls.  "Such a pity to lose the ship, but...but I am glad you are all right, my friend."

Mar listens to Fiona's explanation, looking slightly disappointed. He was sort of hoping that she'd have some kind of insight on what to do. On how he can avoid losing himself to this body, over and over. No such luck for him, apparently.

"That's...not very helpful," states Mar irritably. "You're quite lucky. The second I entered this shape, I began losing bits and pieces of myself. Perhaps this blasted Bar will drain you away too, with time. You should leave, while you can."

Mar's thoughts are then interrupted by the appearance of two new presences in the Bar. One of them is without a doubt Dark. A servant of some kind, though unaffiliated. He will have to wait and see if this is a concern or not. The second is...very peculiar somehow. He cannot read the being's thoughts, but he knows that this person's mind is very jumbled. Also not a good sign.

"It's getting a little crowded in here," mutters Mar uncomfortably.
