"Tell me," Efaen hisses, "are you?" Abruptly she switches to private thought-speech, sending Tora a pointed message, all the while gripping her arm tightly, reveling in her newfound control. Terenia's presence is barely noticeable, and she is so deep in her own despair that retaking control is the last thing on her mind.

<<Are you the rebel Andalite?>> Efaen's expression is oddly blank, but her eyes are shining brightly, eagerly awaiting Tora's response. <<Tell me, who are you really?>>

"Yeah, you can get one in my ship." Temrash said.

He noticed Terenia grabbing Tora's arm. "Hey. You two play nice over there!" He said. "Don't start getting hostile with anyone, Terenia!"

"Great. I'll see you." Kevlin headed out. He passed a large reptilian alien and a human with a dog and nodded as he passed. The human nodded in return. Kevlin made his way through the ships and found Temrash's. He entered and looked through a few containers before finding a communicator. He exited the ship and leaned a giants the outside, unsure of what to do.

Tora shakes her head slowly, still trying to back away, but with less energy than before. "That is what this is about?" she asks, giving an abrupt laugh, attempting to fix an annoyed expression on her face.

Her thoughts, however, are frenetic. She cannot be allowed to know. If she knows, then the rest of the Andalites could learn, and then... the sentence trails off, but her stomach roils in embarrassment at what she knows its unfinished ending to be.

"I am as human as I appear," she continues, gesturing to her body with her free hand. She hears someone speaking to them, but she pays them no heed; her only concern is with escaping from the Andalite before her secret is revealed.

For a moment Efaen looks disappointed, but then her eyes light up again, with some new anticipation.

"Very well," she says, still keeping a grip on Tora's arm, "then you will not mind remaining with my for a few minutes more. Or perhaps a few hours." She reaches behind herself with her free hand, grabbing the stool she just stood from and pulling it nearer. Taking a seat on the edge she gives Tora a grim smile, "After all, if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about."

Temrash walked over to the two girls, one of which was ignoring him. "What are you going on about? You have no place causing trouble." Maybe if he did a few nice things for Tora, she's change her hasty decision. "Tora, you go on. I'll put Terenia in a corner if you want me to."

Tora frowns as the Hork-Bajir with whom she had exchanged words earlier enters their conversation. Her eyes narrow at the thought of this creature, who was clearly incapable of keeping a single secret, learning about her species, as well. The bounty hunters and revenge-seekers would surely flock to her if he knew. "Thank you," she mutters to him, "but there is no trouble here. We are merely discussing something of importance."

Turning back to the morphed Andalite, she murmurs, "I am sorry to spoil your plans, but I will be leaving with Myitt or Corliss shortly. I have already tarried too long in this place, and I have work to do. Not that I do not wish to help you ensure the veracity of what I say," she adds, proud of herself for selecting this moment to demonstrate her finesse with trademark human sarcasm.

"Leave me, Yeerk filth," Efaen says, wrinkling her nose at Temrash's approach, "this is none of your concern."

She turns back to Tora in determination. <<I am not convinced,>> she says in private thought-speech, <<I have been observing you for some time now, in silence, and what I have seen is troubling. I will resolve this issue.>>

Efaen releases Tora's arm abruptly, her eyes not leaving the other woman's face. She leans in closer and hisses quietly, "If I find that you are a traitor to your species..." she lets the threat hang, straightening up and eying Tora suspiciously.

"She would be no more traitor than you, voluntary controller." Temrash said. With that comment made, he left for his seat and drink. Tora didn't want him, so helping her was out.

As the Andalite releases her arm and the Hork-Bajir departs, Tora feels that she can escape the situation cleanly. This bolstered sense of confidence leads her to give a slow smirk in response. "Yes. Leave the threat unfinished," she murmurs. "The truth is you can do nothing. Terenia could stop you now, if she so desired. And do you truly think you any better than the Andalite who is at our base? You were going to join us, as well. Already host to a Yeerk, already close to one of their prominent leaders...." She shakes her head, still smirking. "I would advise you to refrain from name-calling."

"I have no desire to join your band of rebel frauds," Efaen retorts, her nose once again wrinkling in disgust at the idea, "Just because that child that controls me decided to follow Corliss like a love-struck fool that does not mean I agreed. Do not presume to understand my situation. I would never betray my kind. I still believe in maintaining ones honor."

"Rebel frauds," Tora repeats slowly, carefully, her smirk giving way into a humorless smile. "Maintaining one's honor." She exhales and shakes her head. "Classic Andalite."

Now she truly does move away from her, walking towards the hallway to the bathrooms. She has consumed enough of her redin that she believes the need to relieve herself should be a viable reason to leave the conversation... and to find a place to demorph.

Efaen watches Tora depart through narrowed eyes, but does not move to stop her. The moment has passed, and Efaen knows that she will not get a confession from the rebel just yet. She is patient, though. She can wait.

<<Time to shed this ridiculous form,>> Efaen says to Terenia, who does not respond. Terenia's thoughts are consumed, reliving the last moments of Tamora's life and the decision that ended it. This suits Efaen well, and a wry smile plays on her lips as she once again steps down from the stool. Swaying slightly, Efaen takes a step back into the shadows where she begins to demorph.

From my vantage point under the table I watched the Andalite demorph. My lips curled into a snarl. I narrowed my eyes at her.

Al noticed Jackson re-enter the bar with a group of what looked to be his fellow soldiers. He turned on his stool and called to him, "Jackson! Want to play a bit more?" He held up three poker chips, which he fanned out between his fingers. "Your friends look like a fun bunch. You guys like poker?" he asked the rest of the table.
The group didn't exactly appear fun at the moment. They each had an expression on their face that was some variation of bewilderment and frustration. Charlotte perked up slightly at the mention of poker, and Jackson turned to look at Al, snapped back to reality. "Huh? Oh..." he looked around at the other Beta Squaders, who looked at him. They were just watching, not seeming to care. "Yeah, we'll play..." He says, adjusting in his seat a little, ready to play. His heart wasn't into the game this time, but it had to be better than all of them sitting there loafing. Sergeant Rayker should play too, he thought.

"Are you all right, sir?" Lennan asked with his hand resting on Rayker's shoulder. The sergeant sighed heavily.

"Yeah. I'll be fine, Lennan. Thank you." He stepped over to Morgan, who he seemed to remember noticing as the leader of the group. "Thank you, sir, for allowing my men to join you on your boarding mission. I regret to see that it wasn't without a cost. Your sacrifice and service to our group will not be forgotten." Lennan nodded beside him.
