<Open exterior hatch now!> Claxter said hastily, rushing as close as he could. Hopefully it wouldn't take twenty seconds for the hatch to come down, and they'd be able to get inside.

Tora gives Corliss a bland look. <<You are going to have trouble keeping secrets from her, aren't you?>> she murmurs, her expression eventually giving way into a small but fond smile. <<Although this one would prove difficult to keep, by anyone's measure.>>

"I think you will find your new comrades are hospitable enough," she tells Terenia with a nod. "What is your host's reason for wanting to join the rebellion?"

Corliss gives Tora a nervous, tight-lipped smile, teeth on edge.  A look that says, 'You're going to have to bloody well tell her soon enough, don't forget!'

---

Myitt rushes toward the hatch, hoping they won't be caught in the energy stream or, perhaps worse, in the closing hatch itself...

The exterior hatch begins to descend even as the shield begins to rebuild itself.  It takes roughly five seconds to touch the earth, the shield reforms around the open hatch, leaving a triangular cavity within the shield itself, the ramp surrounded on all sides by the shield, but not part of it, any who made it through before the shield reformed could be standing on the ramp without suffering ill effects, but trapped within the shield.  A sterile hum can be barely heard as the effects of the repressor field and lockdown remain in place.

Claxterrushed into the ship and saw his Prince lying wounded on the floor. Cody/Sukohn was also lying on the floor, and aside from making sure no weapons were nearby, Claxter left him alone. He began morphing the Gorilla-like alien to move his prince into the medbay.

Myitt skids into the ship, feeling the hatch melt closed behind her.

She clutches at Tamora's chest, breathing quickly, before taking stock of her surroundings.

---

Tara stands outside, crossing her arms.

She looks around.

"I'll just...wait here then?" she asks no one in particular.  "Right."

The repressor field deactivates with a snap and Ossanlin's suspended body crumples to the floor in an undignified pile of limbs.  The air pushes from his lungs and the cauterized portions of flesh break open as he begins bleeding again, his breath shallow, body in shock.

Myitt covers Tamora's mouth in a very human expression of horror.

"Don't move him," she snaps at Claxter, glancing briefly at Cody/Sukohn.  She starts for the med bay door, then realizes--the ship is still in full lockdown.  The repressor field may be off, but the doors would likely not cooperate.

No time.

She hurries to Ossanlin's side.

"Ossanlin," she says, swallowing the lump in her throat.  "Can you hear me?  It's Myitt. Listen to me: You have to morph.  Morph human!  Ossanlin!"

<Prince Ossanlin! Wake up and morph! Do it now! Please!> He said has he bent down and rocked him back and forth lightly.

Cody started rousing from the pain and shouting. "Ugh...oh...man." He said, and lifted his head. Claxter turned around and gave him the most hideous death glare imaginable, and Sukohn seemed to fall back into unconsciousness. Though he likely may have been faking it given the circumstances.

<I don't know what that Andalite is going to do to me for this, but bleeding to death sounds good right now.> Sukohn said.

Ossanlin is completely unresponsive as his body flops back and forth near lifelessness.  His tail twitches, merely a nervous response and nothing else.  Faint noise seeps through his skull...voices...fa r away...thoughts...s trange.  Was he dreaming?

"Claxter," Myitt says urgently, "take the computer and try to hack into the med bay.  He needs...he needs one of the little purple bottles of liquid.  Hurry!"

To Ossanlin she repeats her little fruitless endeavor.

"Ossanlin, please, morph human," she begs.  "You already escaped death once today.  Morph, damn you!"

The lady and man who'd just broken up walked in opposite directions. Out of the corner of his eye, Rayker saw the strange yellow being take off in the ship he had just come in. He thought it was odd, because surely he'd seen two of them.... Oh, I was right. he thought as the other came running out and back into the bar. The man who had been aiming a gun at the Lizardlike creature - his name was John, right? - came out with him and the two, along with a dog, entered his ship and lifted off the asteroid as well. He decided this place really was Loonyville, and also decided he wanted to go ahead and get moving. Rayker stopped yet again however, as he noticed the man who'd come out to watch the last ship leave. This was the guy who had entered the bar with a friend just as he and Jackson had left it. "Heck, why not?" he said as he walked back towards the bar.

Jackson was worried. Those were never good words to hear from the Sergeant. They were always followed by something really unpleasant. "Do I even want to ask?" he said.

"Oh it's nothing to worry about. We're just going to go hitchhiking through the galaxy with a complete stranger."

"I see them. They have their friends with them. And they got him." Charlotte said from teh hallway. Carson knew who she meant by him. The Slime of All Existence. The man who'd obliterated his entire country only for emphasis. Carson felt relieved that these temporary allies had captured him. That made their job much easier. Yet he also felt anxious. Was this really it? Or was it some elaborate scheme?

Salem walked back to his table and sat down with Al. He motioned the bartender over.

"Kid looks like he's had a rough day," Al said, staring at the bar. Salem glanced over and saw Trey sitting at one of the stools. "Hey, can you make a Radonian Fyrquas?" he asked the bartender. When the bartender nodded, Al said, "Cool. Send him one on Salem here."

Salem rolled his eyes and turned to face the bartender. How had he gotten stuck with the sympathetic android who seemed to have no qualms about spending his money? "And I wouldn't mind some food. House special, I guess. Whatever's good for humans. And some water," he said.

The bartender turned and walked back behind the bar without a word, where he began mixing things in a large mug for Trey's drink. When it was finished, he set the concoction down in front of Trey. It was a slightly cloudy, mostly clear liquid, but every once in a while, what looked like condensation would form on the outside of the glass before evaporating rapidly. The condensation ranged in color from bright green to dark blue. The bartender immediately swung around and began preparing food for Salem.

Tamora falls into silence at the barrage of second-hand memories, retreating back into the corner of her mind. Her own emotions are confused. A large part of her wants to believe that the images are lies - that Terenia is nothing more than the murdering sociopath that Tamora has always seen her as. Another part of her desperately wants Myitt to be telling the truth, but that is a small part, and Tamora is already focusing in on the results of Terenia's actions, rather than the intentions.

---

"My host," It is Terenia's turn to form a thin smile, "is quite eager to fight the Yeerk Empire, and this is the best way for us both to be successful at reaching our goals."

---

Trey looked upward in surprise when the bartender thunked down the large mug that appeared to be made almost of mist.

"Who-" he started, but the bartender had already turned away from him, onto his next job. Trey abandoned his water and pulled the mug closer, sniffing it hesitantly and looking around the room for the source of the beverage.

Claxter takes the device and begins working with it. He also goes to the ship console to try interacting with it in the hopes of getting the doors open. He takes a retractable wire out of the handheld machine and plugs it into the control station, trying different things with both, and issuing thought speech commands.
