<I won't allow you to kill your sister in cold blood. I know she put out a hit on you, but if there is any part of you left that actually still cares for anyone other than yourself, killing your sister may put you too far over the edge. I mean, you told me you weren't completely selfish and self centered, right? You wouldn't want to prove me right, would you?> He asked, still aiming his shredders at her. <Now keep your dracons holstered and your temper in check.>

Cody followed her into the ship and closed the hatch. "Wow, that was close. I don't think I'll be able to get your sister to do what I want. Fortunately now I have everything this ship entails. I just hope it will be enough. By the way, I have a new sidekick Bear. Bear, meet Tammy. The other Imperial Andalite hating host on this rock."

I barked a greeting to "Tammy". She seemed ok. Definitely a former host, I could smell it. The Yeerks I had met on Earth had been part of the resistence against the Andalites. It had been years since me and John had last seen earth. We'd been traveling space the last three years, the last three months we followed rumors of this place a hub between demensions. Lost in memories I curled up next to the pilot's seat.

Parker gritted his teeth at Temrash jumping the gun. Apparently he wasn't listening when he said that it was Gaz's count. She was the captain of this rescrue operation, it was her friends that were held captive, and she had the most to lose if things went south. He didn't want to move before she was ready to, in respect for her command. However since Temrash had already moved out, he couldn't leave the man out there to die.

Parker whipped around the corner and shot two bursts of three rounds at the first guards head. The first burst hit the guard and jarred his head, giving way to the next burst which passed the first guard and went straight between the second guard's eyes.

((I'll wait for Gaz's post before continuing Parker's actions))

Tamora jumps back a bit, not having noticed the dog before. When it barks she winces but forces a smile.

"Uh...hey Bear..." she says, keeping her distance from the animal.

----

"And why," Terenia asks, rubbing her dead arm with her usable, left arm, trying to regain some feeling, "do you think that I give a rats ass what you think of me? My sister is a menace, and an Imperial supporter at that. Killing her now would do all of you a favor, I promise you that."

Salem smiled and replied to Keshin. "Hear you loud and clear. Take care of yourself. Don't let those rebels get you down. I'll call you later about our plans."

He looked at Myitt. "Thanks," he said with a slight smirk. His tone then softened a bit and his expression became a bit more sincere. "I really do appreciate you guys' help."

He turned to Ossanlin. "You said you were a Dome Ship captain, right? The Tyrennian? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's from the same generation of Dome Ships as the Desperane. I know a trader who would be very interested in getting his hands on a copy of the plans, specs and layout for one of those ships."

"Not a dog lover either, huh? Oh well. I've got dracons in the back if you want to protect yourself from your evil twin out there. Or you know, we could chill in here. Assuming she doesn't have anything better than dracons, she won't get past the shields."

<I don't suppose you do. However even though she's an Imperial supporter she had found happiness in her life with them. She cried so much in th ship, worried about Zorish and herself, and she blames you for being indirectly involved in his death. I don't know what we're going to do with her, but killing her that way won't be it.>

Silver opened her eyes slightly but from her exhaustion she didn't see much. Her worry for the others wouldn't let her rest properly. "D-Dara...." She got out in a soft whisper. "Da-ra...." She tried a little louder. She had to know how they were doing.

When Silver said his name Dara put her down and leaned her against the wall of the shuttle. "What do you need?"

In response to Tamora's reaction to me I decided to try and show my goodwill. I wagged my tail and uproached her. I sniffed her hand and nuzzled it to try and ease her aprenhension. <I won't hurt you> I said in private thought speak.

Tamora stood extremely still as the dog sniffed her hand and then ran its warm tongue over her skin, trying not to show that she was afraid. Then thought-speak filled her head and she jumped about three feet.

"Andalite!" She hisses, backing as far away from the beast as she could manage, clutching the hand that it had licked as though she may have been poisoned.

---

Terenia stares at Claxter in complete bewilderment for a long moment. Then, her lip curls in disgust. "You are weak, Andalite. You call yourself a warrior? That...that thing in there," she points to the Bug Fighter Tamora disappeared onto, "would kill every last one of you in a heartbeat and you are letting her live because she was crying? Dammit, Andalite, this is a war! This isn't about her happiness or my happiness or any happiness. We don't get to be happy because we're stuck right in the God-damned middle of this fight so that other people can be happy someday. Why don't you understand that?"

Whe he leaned her on the wall the cool touch felt great and she leaned her head back. "Are....they okay?" She asked and then asked after he answered her. "Could.....you get me...some water please?"

"He's supposedly not an Andalite. Just some Human nothlit. Bear, for future reference don't use thought speak to communicate with Imperials. They won't react well to that. Remember how I gave you a weird look when you said your name was Bear?" Cody said.

<I suppose I am weak, though I have trouble repressing my compassion. You're still alive right now because Prince Ossanlin and I have compassion. That person is your sister, who is the way she is because of you. You need to find a way to mend the familial connection you have with her. You've both made horrible decisions in life, but you are both still young. There can still be a chance for both of you to find contentment with each other, rather than trying to kill each other.>

<I'm a dog. Period!> Depressed by the reaction of Tamora I went I the corner with my tail between my legs.

"As far as I know they're fine. I'll do my best to find some water." Dara went look around the shuttle for water.

"Not an Andalite?" Tamora asks, looking at Bear doubtfully.

---

"Yeah, whatever," Terenia snaps, wincing as pins and needles start to run up and down her numb arm, "You keep dreaming, blue boy. I'm going to find Corliss."

She glances at the Bug Fighter, looking less than thrilled about leaving her sister in there. "If I catch her alone, she's dead. I promise you that." She turns and begins to stalk off, weaving through the ships.

Claxter decided to follow Terenia to where Corliss was. Maybe he could talk some sense into her. Otherwise he'd definitely have to restrain her. She would hate to have him follow her, surely, but he wasn't going to leave her alone. In any case he'd need his own ship's gun to be able to force Cody's ship open.

"He's a dog. Period!" Cody said to Terenia, mimicking Bear. "I don't suppose you've come up with a new idea to get into Ossy's ship?"

Myitt smiles uncertainly back at Salem.

"Yeah," she says, unnerved that the human is being so sincere.  "No problem."

She starts to walk off, pushing back a few branches and carefully making her way through the woods.

---

Corliss smiles satisfactorily at the comm link and puts it away.

"Well.  I suppose this is goodbye, until next time, Keshin," he says, brushing his dusty black uniform sleeve.  "Unless, of course, you decide to try and put out whatever other hits you were undoubtedly asked to undertake.  No matter."  He sniffs.  "I reckon we'll meet again, in any case."

With that, Corliss steps toward the hatch and walks down the Bug's ramp, into the forest, heading back toward the parking lot.
