no problem Daniel.

I can still remember the words and what they meant.

Yeah, I would go with Audacity. It works really well.

I'll second the Audacity suggestion.  It's awesome.

One thing to work on -- try to use similar microphones and/or eliminate noise; it's a bit distracting in the currently available audiobooks when the background noise/environment changes every time the character changes.  It also might help Skyping together when recording lines (it might make some of the dialog more natural, as you'll be able to hear the other characters).

Just some suggestions.

Hm, my computer has a built in mic, and doesn't have anywhere to plug in an external one. So I'm not sure how I'd go about doing that. But, so long as no one is home and the windows are closed, there isn't much, if any, background noise in my bedroom. Even less in my basement, although there might be a slight echo from there.

In any case, I'll try to do a couple of line tests for Jordan and Aldrea, and see how they sound.

We tried using teamspeak at first. Not good enough quality, and too hard to coordinate. Just ask any of the podcasters.
Personally, I would just have everyone get the best mic they personally can. I don't want to drop down to my crappy mic, and most people don't want to spend more than $75 for a mic.

I refuse to remove this sig because of some petty argument. RAF must remain solid.

It's true. There are incredible delays, and it can become very difficult.

Lol, yeah. Why do you think there's only one episode and it took so long to get out.

can someone explain to me how to use audacity i cant figure it out. i try to delete something and it wont delete.

When you want to delete something, you highlight it and then go to 'Edit - Delete'.
There's a method to my madness, I just haven't figured it out yet.

yeah me too. so you have to find where you want to delete. stop. and try to find that place again. If there's something wrong, I just restart the whole thing.

I was just thinking of future books, and I think we may have a problem with book 16. what are we gonna do for the chat room. How are we gonna "say" what was written in the chat room?
