karma on profile
« on: December 08, 2008, 01:14:32 AM »
i was just wondering, if maybe we could get the option to add to someones karma ON their profile, if i want to add to someone's karma i have to find the post that i wanted to applaud
its just sometimes a little annoying.
i think it would be cool to just have the option added to the profile of said person

anyway thanks for reading

You can always hit "Show the last posts by this person" link on their profile and quickly applaud from there if you don't want to go looking for their posts on the forums.

I'm against this, because of the legitimacy of the applaud or smite. The purpose of this rating system is to rate the person's posts, so I see no need for it on the profile page.

i agree completely.
people would play favorites and might not applaud somebody for a particular post.
plus, isn't it easy enough as it is? ;)

But what if they say something worth applauding/smiting in the RAFChat? Is there going to be an Applaud/Smite option there?

you could just go to their most recent post and mention something about the 'comment in chat'.
i don't think it could work applauding in rafchat, since it's not the same account.
