sig image dimensions
« on: October 21, 2008, 04:18:29 PM »
i think there should be some sort of restriction for the image size in signatures
i don't mind long signatures (horizontally), but it's really annoying trying to scroll through multiple posts by a person with a really tall sig*.

thanks :)

edit:
Quote
8. Signature images are restricted to 550 by 120.
Penalty: Edit.

i've seen a lot of signatures larger than that so far. could those people please make them a bit smaller?

You mean signatures? (the stuff at the bottom of someone's post?) Because there are restrictions on the images on the left.

While we will edit persons signature image if it's too big, you can always opt to not see signatures:

Feel free to report persons whose images are, in your opinion too big...

the only two i've noticed were gumby and blue.
both could be resized, that'd be really nice.

I think that's still too big...I think it needs to be more like a bar...

Will change then.

try using mspaint and cropping out the bottom empty inch and the part above the sign.

it still keeps it's funniness, but reduces the dimensions noticeably. (i managed to get it to 380 * 255 without much of a change)

To be honest, I really don't see the need to make a fuss over this is. I have no problem with his picture. His image's height is 358. 350 could be the limit if you really want one, and I'd say anything 400 and over would be pushing it.

But w/e. Just my 2 cents...

um, i've noticed bladepaw's signature being a little too large vertically.
could they possibly have both images on the same line or reduce the size?

looks a little large for me, don't know about what you guys think.
thanks.
