How do the Animorphs look to you?

I knwo there's the book covers, the scholastic site, and the show, but how do YOU picture the Animorphs? If you were to compare an animorph to an actor, who would it be?

For me, no matter how many incarnations of Marco I see, only the ones with the long shoulder length hair really say "Marco" to me. I dunno why, I can't fathom Marco with super short hair... especially when they hard times him about it early in the series. I just love the long hair on him, I think it'd be hot LOL

Your thoughts on the characters?

I imagine Tobias being blonde. Not dark haired. I don't see him looking as similar to Jake as some covers make him out to be. I don't picture Cassie looking as pretty as some covers show her, and I kind of picture Marco as his book 5 cover more than the later ones, though he doesn't look as hispanic in that one. Also I picture Ax with a much longer tail than the one in book 8. In my opinion, the Visser cover seems to be the only one showing an Andalite tail as long as I imagine it would be. Even Elfangors was like barely long enough to be effective.

     I see your point. But I think it's pretty appropriate that Tobias looks so much like Jake, since I got the impression that Tobias aspired to be like Jake--at least before his hawkization. It seemed realistic that Tobias would get a "cool hair cut" like Jake's. Who knows, maybe he went all stalker on Jake and purposely dyed his hair brown to look more like him xD Tis a nice in-verse way to explain why his cover models were dark haired.

     I think that had to do with the artist. The one in charge of the 1-54 books and the guy who did the Chronicles one had different styles and skills--I remember reading that somewhere. But if Elfangor's tail seemed short, despite the fact that the Chronicles' Andalites were the best looking, then maybe Elfangor's gene pool just sucks, and their whole family is genetically inferior to other Andalites

     I picture the Animorphs all more or less how they're depicted on the covers--since I just have the WORST imagination. I prefer dark haired Tobias to blond--especially the Pretender and the Illusion. That model had the "troubled but dreamy look" Tobias is said to have.

     The Jake model, in my opinion, was totally Jake! He had this kind of squinty look to him, like the sun was always in his eyes, but he pulled of the regular kid-turned leader look well. I genuinely believed that this kid had the weight of the world on his shoulders--unlike the relaunch model.

     I prefer short haired Marco. End of story.

     I liked the Cassie model. Thought she had that cute-but-didn't-know-she-was-cute look, which is how Cassie's character is in the books.

     The way Rachel is described means, to me, pretty much any pretty blonde girl could be her. It's unfortunate.

     Despite my wanting to picture David as what Tobias started to look like in book 49, I can't help but picture him as this big, stocky guy. I don't know why.

I tend to go somewhere between the TV show actors and the book models.

Jake is quite tall, built like a young rugby player, hair not as short as in the TV series, but not quite as long as on the book covers.

Rachel... She looks like she does in both the series and the books

Tobias I picture as depicted in the latter book covers, only a little older looking. (I thought the models didn't look quite old enough as the book series went on. They still all looked like 12 year olds throughout the series book covers.)

Cassie I picture as the actor in the TV series. Don't really know why.

I picture Marco with shorter hair. And definitely NOT like it was in the TV series! Again, the model on the books appeared a little too young.

I picture Ax as he appears on book covers from 18 onwards.

Taxxons and Horkies near enough as they appeared on book covers.

Jake and Cassie as their covers, Tobias as the cover of 3 (never saw him as a blonde)
Marco as the #5 cover, Human Ax like 8 but with maybe a little straighter hair.

Hork's as covers, Taxxons, I once saw they as having antenna, but later like the covers, but with wider mouths

No one looks like Rachel to me. The cover of 22 is close, but the brows are too dark, but really, they way she's described, Rachel is flawless, and becomes I'm an idolizer, I take that literally, so there is no one but the Rachel in my head.
