What order to read the books
« on: December 02, 2012, 09:29:22 PM »
I only remember ever reading the series 1-52 I think it was, and one of the other books. I heard that about half-way through the series that one of the other books take place, and was wondering if anyone could list what order to read them in.

Thanks in advance!

For the most part, you can read them in any order you like until around the late 40s (read #20-#22 in that order though because that's the David Trilogy). But I would recommend reading them in chronological order. That puts Megamorphs #1 between #7 and #8, MM2 between #18 and #19, MM3 between #29 and #30, and MM4 between #40 and #41.

As for the Chronicles: The Andalite Chronicles can pretty much be read whenever, however, I'd place it either before #1 or after #54. The Hork-Bajir Chronicles should be read between #22 and #23 and Visser should be read right after #35. The Ellimist Chronicles should not be read until you've completed the series.

If you want to waste your time with read the Alternamorphs, they can pretty much be read whenever.

I'd suggest Andalite Chronicles sometime before 23. You can read it before one, but then you lose a lot of the history/legends that's being laid out in the regular series. (This is assuming you don't know that mythology and history already)

I like Ellimist chronicles right after 53. You know who it is then, but there's something bitter sweet about getting that so it's fairly fluid with 54.

But, yeah, it's really flexible for the most part, because animorphs never stressed continuity. So sad

Something, something, oh crap I pissed everyone off again....

Your answers made more sense than my question. :) What I wanted was to read the books in the way that would make the most sense, or in a way where I would get more out of it. So this is perfect! I would basically treat me as a new Animorph's reader, because I really can't remember anything from the series. In a way, I love it! Thank you for your help you two!
