Honestly, I'm all for the time jump, and was actually on the verge of suggesting it. RPs tend to be more interesting when you're at the... more interesting parts. Conflict is interesting.

The GESB tends to work because the characters are misaligned enough, and the structure is open enough, that conflict can occur at any time. In an RP like Rogue Element, I feel it should be almost policy to time jump occasionally. Let's face it, right now, there is no real chance for conflict- we have a bunch of friendlies (mostly) together in a closed environment, with nothing external driving the plot. It's been nice having the time for the character development and the discussions, but we were always going to have to jump again at some point.

Marie and Abby are my wonderful RAFsisters ^_^

You're right. this is a plot driven RP, not character driven, so the plot has to move regardless. Besides I'm looking forward to my paranoid Yeerk. He won't be happy about a group of Andalites "rescuing" his friends, and his friends leading them straight to the rendezvous point. Roll the Star Wars clip. You know the one.

Sorry to do this, guys, but it has been a long time in coming, I'm sure. Work has been crazy-busy. For instance, this last week was a 72-hour, 7-day work week. I'm currently working on leaving my job and jumpstarting my business. I just can't give this RP the attention it deserves. I'm sorry for anything this wrecks, but I need to bow out, at least for now. Feel free to Yeerk any of my characters, or even eliminate them if needed. I entirely trust Jessi and Tara with my characters--and of course you, Luke, as you're the GM.

Sorry again. I'll try to get back to RAF once life settles a bit. <3 you guys! Don't want to spoil your fun just because I'm busy!

I'd like to ask if there is anything like a scar or something on the rebels that would indicate that they aren't Andalites in morph. Just for future reference when my character brings up his suspicions.

Guys, we hate to step out of the party, but our heart and energy just aren't in this, right now. We've left Enorryma's situation up in the air, for the GM or anybody else to decide, if they want it.

Feel free to Yeerk her, NPC-ify her, stick her in a coma indefinitely, or kill her off outright. The current situation is ambiguous enough to allow for any of these, and either way, we've left her destabilized enough that if she does survive, it wouldn't be unreasonable for somebody else to replace her as TO.

Norry has had as long personal history of coming out lucky, of outliving the people beside whom she worked, flew, and fought. She's not young any longer, and maybe fortune's wheel has finally come around fully to swing in the other direction. Maybe it's time for somebody else to inherit her lifetime's worth of good luck, while she pays up on old debts. She's superstitious, and that's certainly how she would see it- to be crippled, comatose, or killed by something as 'undignified' as a stroke or aneurysm, instead of being blasted out of the sky, the way she rightfully could have been, hundreds of times in the past.

If somebody wants her to survive and recover, she'll always continue to doubt her health and body integrity, and others will always doubt her infallibility, even if they try not to show her that doubt. She'll avoid eyes-contact, hauteur replaced by a haunted look. She will dream constantly of those she lost and outlived, the shots she could have taken but didn't, countless other failures minute and massive. She will up her stim dosage just to avoid sleeping, avoid dreaming, and the dreams will follow her into her waking life, bringing with them the voices of every wingman, or superior, or subordinate she ever felt she failed. She'll be a walking liability who happens to be just competent enough to be dangerous, and old superstitions and prejudices will come back to the surface as she descends deeper and deeper into her hallucinatory version of the past.

We feel this is adequate material for a hazardous NPC, if the game needs one at any point. There's no reason she can't be put into coma cold storage indefinitely, until such an NPC is needed. There's also no reason she can't be killed off at the first opportunity. We leave it in your hands, folks. Sorry to vanish on you; good game.

Uh oh. What's going to happen to Norry? :( I was hoping Claxter could interact more with her, as you controlled her, but it's your decision to make.

See post above; looks like you hit send right about when we did.

I wish I could do or say something to keep you interested, Este.  Perhaps you've merely seen what I refuse to, or perhaps there's something in your personal life that requires the full measure of your attention.  Whatever the case, I'm really disappointed to see you and Norry go, and I cannot overstate that fact.  Whatever's going on, I hope things work out for you.

I can't move the story-line forward any further without rebel interaction, and I've not seen hide nor hair of Tara or Jessi in Rogue Element for weeks (or months...depending).  Everyone seems to be leaving.  I'm not sure what to do.  I really don't want to see the RP end before it even starts...does anyone have any suggestions?  I'm really stubborn...I don't want to let this go.

I suppose I could open a new thread that takes place further into the future of Rogue Element.  Everyone could bring in their new Rebel characters without all the intro.  It might not be organic, but...damn I don't want to let this thread go.

I don't want this thread to die either. Man. I guess I could do this farther along, with my character already aboard the ship. He was going to insist that he bring his bugfighter along. I don't know what Oss' response to that would be.
