I don't know about over a hundred. Maybe in a small room, or one with great acustics. I think that's the word. I don't know if you're overestimating the howler, or I'm underestimating, but as great as that scream is it can be muffled by walls and other things.

Actually the word is 'fest'. Like a 'festival'. The meaning is "there's a lot of guys here gathered together" or "majority of people here are male".
