Sam showed up just in time to see me get slapped. The girl turned and ran away. I turned around, rubbing my sore cheek and muttering profanities. I stuck my finger between his eyes and said, "Don't. Say. Anything."

I continued looking around myself, trying in vain not to stumble and reaching out for anything to gras as I lost my balance. "what is the next objective? going to the school, or attempting to rescue Tom?"

I tried hard not to laugh,I walked towards were I knew Jake and the others were.
We reached our group very soon. Jake looked terrible, so I didnt asked any questions.

(JAKE)

I wanted to save Tom, no doubt. But I wanted to hurt, to do damage to those that had turned Tom into what he was now,besides there was the chance that Tom was at the Pool.-Tommorrow we met at the Gardens,get firepower, then we storm the pool-

I was just thinking of demorphing when I noticed Sam had returned. I figured I should explain to him what had happened as one of our team. It kind of sucked that he couldn't morph with us, because investigating as a dog got us a lot more information that as human. I privately addressed him,

<Hey. It's not good news. We managed to sneak up on the Yeerks. It turns out Chapman is one of them, you know, vice-principal Chapman...and...Jak e's brother Tom.> I didn't feel the need to state that Tom was my cousin because it made the whole thing too real. I was starting to go into denial. I didn't wait for a reply, checking we were unwatched before demorphing. It didn't take long and I was soon human, standing with everyone else in my gymnastics leotard. I simply nodded at Jake's plan.

((Well, none of us had school today, right? We spent most of the day doing nothing or at Cassie's barn so I think it's the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday.))

As soon as I heard Tom's name my face fell, and my heart made a huge cracking noise. Jake had lost his brother in a completely different wway than most people. But I still had my head on my shoulders. "What do you mean we're going to storm the pool!?"

I didn't really want to wait that long, but I made no complaints. <3:00 am it is. I will come to offer what support I can, even though I do not require a battle morph. I will retire to an area near Cassie's home until then.>

I chewed on my lip slowly. How am I supposed to pay for this?

I nodded. "Sure, right after school. I think there's also a sale on tickets tomorrow, so that'll make it easier."

<But...but...> I said. Why would they wait so long? Then Cassie mentioned school. Of course. They had prior engagements. They were not military like he was, and had civilian lives to live. <Yes. Of course. School.> I would need to do something to keep myself busy until then. Perhaps thinking of a way to steal a bugfighter and get off planet.

I was about to do as Jake asked before I heard Ax and replied.<You don't know me that well.>I then jerked my head at Rachel, not a single emotion was shown by my face as I heard every single word and it did get to my heart but Rachel just didn't get it.<Yes...tomorrow.>I said as I then spread my wings and jumped off what I was on and flew off into the sky to get away from them.

'He's trapped?" I said as Tobias flew by. It was barely a question.

I wanted to punch something and the urge surprised me. Instead I watched the red-tailed hawk fly off and gritted my teeth, nodding at Marco. I didn't know what I thought about Tobias really, but right now, I hated him. Without so much as a single true attempt to help us out, he'd literally turned tail and escaped. He'd abused Elfangor's power and left us one less person in our fight against these Yeerks. And then my stomach twisted as I realised what being trapped meant. He was no longer a human. He couldn't go home. He couldn't just go into McDonald's and get food. How would he live? I didn't know what to make of the situation. I was angry and confused. As soon as everyone decided it was time to go, I would remorph seagull and get out of there.
