Shizuo took the glass and smiled faintly. "Do you think you're ready for something to eat now?"
"I think there's no doubt now that we've got to arm the place, on full alert," Myitt said to Tia, her voice strained, nodding at the crushed tracking device. "A total evacuation will take time. We might need you to help us with some of the weapons stations. In the meantime we'll have to start sending people out of here, because if the Empire finds our location, they won't take prisoners. They'll demolish this place from orbit." She glanced worriedly at Reven, who nodded.
"If you trust her," Reven said edgily. "Then she's alright in my book. Get to work, we need to be prepared for this." He looked very tired, staring at the ground. Only seventeen, but really, so much older.
"Listen, mate, if you keep frowning like that I'm gonna die of contagious depression," Corliss said, smirking.
"You get better, you dapsen, alright?" said Reven, and he eyed the rest of the little band. "All of you. Thank you for helping." He gave Myitt a last look and walked out of the room.
"He's a busy man," said Myitt thoughtfully, picking a piece of the crushed transponder up from the grey metal floor.
