Well yeah, not relevant to the yeerk invasion, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be interesting. Though he'd need to have teamed up with someone who could fight. Because an entire book of Erik going "Damn, people A are being slaughtered. Too bad I can't do anything about it." would get old.

There could easily have been a Pemalite Chronicles about BEFORE the Howlers attacked. Maybe have it tie into the Ellimist Chronicles.

And we can't be sure that ABSOLUTELY NONE of the pemalites tried to resist, just because the chee's story says so. The Andalites were sure ALL of the taxons were voluntary controllers, and that turned out to be wrong.

lol, I'm just saying there could have been SOME who resisted, even just one would make a hell of a story. The one pemalite who wanted to fight back. I mean doesn't Cassie or someone at some point say it's completely impossible for every part of a species to feel exactly the same?

I wonder how Erik found out Eva had been infested. It was most likely during the time when he hung out with Marco the most. Unfortunately, his programming kept him from doing anything that would endanger the life of Edriss. I think that's V1's name.

Oh, Erek's time on Earth I'd agree completely.  That's a book, right there.

But the Howler invasion?  It's just a couple of weeks/months of Howlers slaying millions of Pemalites in any creative way they can think of, and the Pemalites finally deciding "hey, let's leave".  Then bundling all of their pet robots into a ship and flying away.  Oops, they used a bio-bomb on us before we left.  *cough splurt die*

That's it.  That's the entire story on the Pemalite planet.  There's nothing else there, and we already know how it happened.

But Erek's escapades on Earth?  Sure, that's a Chronicles book.  Just nothing before they landed.

I honestly can't see how you can be a fan of Animorphs and not be a fan of the details. Why didn't you just read the first and last book and skip the middle stuff?
Until then we fight.

Hahaha, very true. And you would miss one sixth of the awesomeness. (And maybe just a little more.)

Bad example, Chachi.

When dealing with Howlers we're not exactly dealing with intricate character development.  Someone suggested the idea of the Pemalites before the Howlers, and that's completely fine.  That would be cool.

But there WERE no details with the Howler invasion.  Erek said that a bunch of ships just burst out of Z-Space and started laying waste to everything while the Pemalites looked at each other in confusion.  That's not a book.  That's not a story.  That's "aww don't you feel sorry for these cute little puppydogs getting skewered by happy vicious children?"

A Chee Chronicles would have worked...on Earth.  A Pemalite Chronicles would have worked, in ancient times long before the Howlers showed up.  Just not the idea you're talking about.  It's just a hundred pages of Howlers finding fun ways to stab and shoot stuff.

Then you can say the same thing about the Hork Bajir Chronicles. The yeerks showed up took over, there was no fight worthwhile and then they got new troops.
Until then we fight.

and the yeerks just landed on the hork bajir home planet and started infesting, case closed

and the ellimist is just a supernatural being and elfangor is just a war hero and visser one is just a yeerk

the whole point of the chronicles was to take a small fact known in the animorphs universe and completely turn it on its head and expand on it and to surprise all the readers with just how much of a story there actually was there

pemalite chronicles = awesome book, as at least a few fic writers have already shown

EDIT: haha creeeepy dude, we just both posted in a 3 day old topic at the same time with the exact same point lol

Its close enough for me, I'd go with a high strangeness factor on this one. Same exact thought too. Good work. ::High Fives::

I would've liked to read a few books narrated by Erek. Though in tough situations, the Chee could be very frustrating but their non-violence thing is not really their fault. That's the way they were programmed, therefore they can't help it.
