I have a thought. In one of the books, Visser One has Eva's head hooked to the kandrona container. If V1 senses anything wrong, she'll swim right back into the ear. With that in mind, he only needs to restrain alloran's tail, and hook the machine to a table or something.

Then there's also the thing that held Tobias.

But the point was that Alloran, once freed could morph. How do you stop the freed Alloran from morphing while Visser 3 is taking his bath?

Beam rays that detect changes in body shape. Soemthing to tell V3 in the pool that he's morphing, so V3 can go back and stop him. Guards. ect.

Alloran could easily morph away his ears before Visser 3 could swim back in. Knowing the Visser, I wouldn't be surprised if he had his own private sealed room with a small pool just for himself in. That way he could sedate his host and go for a swim.

That's only if Alloran is an estreen. Not everyone can control exactly which part starts morphing first.

It says in #31 (on the FAQ in the back of the book) that Alloran is held down by Hork-Bajir guards. It really doesn't seem like that could stop him, though

Perhaps they sedate him?
It occurs to me, that in a war with body snatchers, the only sensible thing to do would be to wear a brain-bomb into combat.

Hmm, I would say that him being knocked unconscious would be the best option, but since in the FAQ it said that he's simply held at bay by Hork-Bajir guards, then what is stopping him from morphing? He could either morph something dangerous and risk being killed, or morph a Kafit bird or something without an ear canal that could be infested. But then again he'd either become a nothlit or be killed. Maybe he figures it isn't worth the trouble? (What's a KASS btw?)

Also on that note, I assume that the Yeerks did the same thing once they recieved the morphing technology and began to make morph-capable controllers?

And you think some of the hosts (Alloran especially) wouldn't rather die than be a host? He wanted Ax to kill him in #8.

since guarding him seems inefficient, far better to sedate him and/or keep him in a ramonite box/bio stasis chamber.
