Okay, there's no way either of them were like that. If you say it like that you can just as easily say that Cassie was like "As long as I don't have to get my hands dirty, the entire world can go to hell."

They did care about others, like the rest of the team. But winning is the most important thing.

Edit: That's pretty much how Cassie was. Her ideals held precedence (sp?) over everything else. As much of a hypocrite as she was, her refusal to change at the expense of others is as bad or worse than Marco and Rachel's decision to do what they had to in order to defeat the Yeerks.

Well, I'm just saying I can understand where she's coming from and why she felt whatever she felt

Besides, most of the time, wasn't she against like murder or whatever? And she said she hated fighting but she would in order to defend herself.

Sorry, but to me, Cassie whined about morals and all that too much.

I stopped liking Cassie around book 19. Sorry but her putting her own moral objections over the entire world, which in her mind could burn in hell as long as she could stay out of it and act morally superior killed her character for me. I know she came back and all, but when she quit the Animorphs, I quit her.

I agree though, I didn't like her character as much as I used to after book 19. But, like, yeah, I'm just saying I understand why she moralized and junk. I understand why she felt guilty, for say, telling that kid not to trust his father. In Book 19, she did go way too far. But yeah xP

Though, I still say that for what she does vs. what Rachel/sometimes Marco does, Cassie is the lesser of two evils

Sure, you're entitled to your opinion. I just think Marco and Rachel both happened to usually be right. My order of favorite characters varies by book but it generally goes something like

but to me she seemed more worried bout the "poor little yeerks" than the poor inocent horkbajir who had to indure that horrible fate. i just could not stand her.

marco and rachel were not ruthless. they knew what they had to do to win, cuz winning ment saving the hosts, the victims

But yeah, I honestly think that if Cassie had been responsible for the Earth's defense, we'd all be Controllers right now. Yes, I think she would screw it up so badly that the Yeerks would somehow reach through the wall of fictional reality and take that too.

Someone needed to slap her upside the head and tell her they were fighting a war for the entire human race.

oh, wow, I am hurt. I am hurt as a Cassie fan XD

But, anyway, I still stand by the fact that I think Cassie only felt what any human should facing whatever reality she did Killing should be a hard thing, no matter what. And yeah, I'll agree that most of time it was like the hork-bajir didn't matter to her. But every character has their faults.

Nothing personal against Tobias, he just... bored me XD;;

actually I like ax because he's so different from the others, not because he's funny. I tend to like people who are extremely different from others (hence why tobias and ax are at the top)
