This is probably not really about animorphs, but KA mentioned so many real celebrities names, shops, restaurants, shows, etc in the books. Did she have to ask for a permission to the respective parties/companies/person or maybe pay royalties or something like that?

O.o Of course not. This isn't television. It's a book series. It never works like that.

Really? So what if you're a celebrity and this certain author wrote a book where one of the characters make fun of you, can you sue? I'm surprised it doesn't work that way.

I doubt it. Unless the book's expressly for the purpose of making fun of you, maybe you can sue for libel. The only thing you have to ask permission for is when you use already printed material (i.e. you quote directly from a book or poem or whatever)

The Arn first appear in The Hork-Bajir Chronicles (the only one named being Quatzhinnikon [Quatz-HIN-i-con]), but the first main-series book one appears in is Book 34, The Prophecy. Quafijinivon (Qua-fi-JIN-i-von) is the last of the Arn.

How did K.A. Applegate manage to make so many books in so little time???
Just wondering because I think that would be kind of hard to do :o

I don't recall her answering questions in that book, maybe that was a US only thing.

KA worked on the series with her husband, plus several of the books were ghost written.

I just read the book where Visser 2 appears.
What did the Animorphs do to him after they stopped the war?

I'm sure they did the same thing with him as they did with all the other Yeerk prisoners.

That's assuming he survived to the end of the war and wasn't executed by his superiors because he failed his mission.

I don't think they ever gave any specifics.

By war I meant the world war 3 that Visser 2 tried to make.
I think they just simply tied him up for 3 days like they once did to Jake.

Does anyone know roughly how long it was between book one and book five? Or in other words, between the first Yeerk Pool visit and their visit to the Pool Ship?
