Upon finishing his meal at the bar, Jack got a sudden feeling that something big was about to happen. Looking around and not seeing anything, Jack hears Aku's voice 'Young samurai, you must return from whence I transported you!'

As soon as Aku had finished saying this, a sphere of bright white light surrounded Jack, and he vanished into nothingness, returning to where he came from.

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin shakes his head before speaking again.  <I'm quite certain that if my physical body dies, which it would should I go too far, I will die as well.  I am not immortal, nor am I a...deity.  I would not want either of those in fact.  I am merely allowed to use the Ellimist's energy more directly than most.  Even so, my body was not meant to undergo such stress.  I am...limited in more ways than I think you believe.>

Esreth shrugs a little. "I dunno. You're from the future, right? Your Earth might be a lot different from mine. Do you guys still have Hawaii? I wouldn't mind spending some time there. The last time Terenia tried to go on a field trip there it didn't end well for her. She still hasn't seen it."

"Hawaii's still there, though the islands and culture changed over time like everything does. Still quite a nice tourist attraction. Western United States is still one of the nicer places to be on Earth, especially since we fixed that super volcano so it wouldn't blow up and take most of the continent with it. As Yeerks do, we have made some changes to the planet to improve it, but it also improved things for Humans too. The pandas are gone. We decided a species that's too lazy to eat the food it's supposed to be eating, and too hostile to reproduce, should just be left to its own devices."

Parker shrugged, "You're certain; but you don't know. You may believe as such because you're still grounded by third dimensional thinking. Just because you ascend and leave your physical form, doesn't mean you become immortal; just harder to kill. It could be that you were given the ticket to proper ascension. You just aren't in the proper mindset or mental state to accept leaving this existence. Ascension wouldn't make you a god, that's a simpleton's way of accepting what he doesn't understand. Ascension is just the next step of evolution. The next step of existence, from three dimensions to four. Personally, I think you're only as limited as you place upon yourself. Namely, your body. Yes, your body was not meant to house and use such powers. Perhaps that's the answer staring you straight in the face?"

Thor registered Jack's disappearance and notified Parker. Parker furrowed his brow and let the matter go, returning his focus to Ossanlin.

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin furrows his brow in response to Parker, but keeps his tone of thought even.  The human was probably only trying to help in some fashion and didn't mean to sound condescending.  <Firstly, I do not become ethereal in any way...I am still very physical during my heightened state, and I can still be injured by very mundane means.  Secondly, I know of no-one who understands the Ellimist in detail.  If He has graced you with some knowledge, I would be quite happy to hear it.  If it is merely your opinion, I note it, but you'll forgive me for refusing to gamble without need when the price of failure is death.  I have responsibilities still that I cannot shirk.  If you wish to...what is it the humans say...play Russian roulette, I will respect your wishes, but I find that such a game is entirely illogical.>

<And I am capable of manipulating the fourth dimension in my heightened state, but the last time I entered the Timestream, it very nearly did kill me.  In fact, were it not for Mar, I would most-likely no longer exist.  He is a Higher being by nature, and it was only with His assistance that I was able to return to the natural realm.>

Gene slides out of his bar seat and takes his beer to Terenia's side, sitting heavily.

He eyes Jocun with a little nod, his curly hair brushing across his eyes. He bats it away and takes a sip of the cold liquid.

"Sorry, mind if I join you?" he asks, grinning at Terenia.

Parker shrugs again, "It was just a suggestion. I'm not suggesting you kill yourself in any way. I just wonder if, when you consciously leave your body and didn't return to it, you would remain as you are in that state. Though it's only a theory. I certainly don't have any answers, I only mention that, really, neither do you. We can only speculate. If only there were some way for you to contact your Ellimist while in that ascended state, he may actually give you some answers so as to avoid dying by accident."

Esreth blinks at Jocun's inane mention of pandas, though it is Terenia who responds, her lips curling into a sneer. "I suppose an Imperial Earth has little use for any creatures that aren't fit for infestation or a food source," she says flatly.

When Gene approaches she gives him a look of relief, pulling out the chair next to her. "Yeah, have a seat, Gene. Sorry Esreth made me run off." She rolls her eyes, then grins a little. "So how are things with Dom going? You and he still, uh, close?" She snickers a little. "I think he's still trying to turn Mike into his clone or something."

"We do not concern ourselves with keeping every species on a planet alive. A species comes and goes as time passes. There are conservation efforts, though, and the fact that a good portion of the Human species is off the planet has actually helped as far and space and resources go."

"Hi again, Gene." He said, smiling.

"Yeah, I'm sure it is," Terenia says with a snort. "Tell me, Jocun, how did the war end in your time? I don't think you've told me."

She calls over the bartender and orders a glass of water to counter Esreth's beer, watching Jocun carefully for his answer.

"After Visser Three defeated the Andalite force, there were still survivors. Those survivors fought a losing battle until he died, and Visser One was put in charge. Since Visser Three underestimated the soldiers, and Visser One did not, she actually defeated them. With the Humans under control, a little surprise Visser One found that will not be mentioned, and the second Andalite force deflected, the Empire began plans to defeat the Andalites for good. On the andalite Homeworld, many battles raged between the two forces. Billions of hosts and said surprise eventually gave the Empire their victory."

The battered fighter emerging from the blank nothingness that is hyperspace, the on-board computer systems beep to the sole occupier of the ship alerting him to the presence of a nearby planet. Scanning for any life on the planet, the ships computers direct the craft to a lone building situated in a small forest clearing.

Guiding his ship to the planets surface, he makes a smooth landing, despite how damaged the fighter is. Opening up the ****pit, he jumps out of the pilots seat and onto the fuselage of the ship, then lowers himself to the ground. Standing at around 6 feet tall, with short cropped black hair with a slight blue hue to it and eyes that seem to constantly change colour from blue to grey, he looks like a rather formidable fellow. His clothing is distinctively military, due to the camouflaged pants, bloodstained jacket and steel capped boots.

The only differences that set him apart from normal humans are the small, yet prominent wolf-like ears, poking out from the top of his head and the wolf-like tail poking out through the seat of his pants.

Looking about, he limps towards the door of the building nearby, hoping to find anyone else of his race that survived what had happened on his home planet, as well as trying to find a medic. Almost falling through it, he sees a wide array of beings gathered inside. Managing to call out between gasps for breath and the excruciating pain, he cries  'Medic!' just loud enough for a majority of the patrons to hear before collapsing a few feet inside the building.

((OK, injury wise this is what's wrong: several puncture wounds in his torso, with some crystal shards still protruding out of his chest and stomach, a few minor burns to his legs, as well as a couple decent cuts to his head. I'll tell ya all what happened to him in a later post :P))

Jocun heard the door open again, and a wounded man cried out for a medic. He went ver to assess the damage. Puncture wounds on his torso, as well as burn wounds. "Bartender! I need gauze and cloth to stop the bleeding! Clean, if you please." The bartender gave him some, which he used to stop the bleeding and keep pressure on. He checked to see if blood was coming from his mouth to indicate lung puncture. "Thanks. I'll pay you back."

"I'm going toget some supplies from my ship." He said to the man. "Don't pull the shards out, as that may make things worse."

He started rushing to his ship.

Terenia jumps in surprise at the newcomer, but when Jocun jumps into action she relaxes again. <<Not my problem,>> she says to Esreth, who doesn't disagree. Instead, she turns to Gene. "I'm beginning to think I've had more than enough fun here. You heading out soon?"

As if on cue, Gene's comm link goes off, with an incoming hail that requests both audio and visual. The message is sent from a Dominic Ticak.
