Efaen nods, squaring her shoulders before taking the lead. By the time she enters the Skimmer a communication is already going through to the rebellion. She takes a place behind Mike and Terenia, but not out of tail range.
<<Oh, fantastic,>> Terenia complains, too nervous to bother honoring Mike's request regarding Ossanlin. <<Not only do I have to deal with Reven without Corliss to help, but I have to deal with a pissed off Reven?>>
"Yeah, uh, we're trying to leave," Terenia says, clearing Mike's throat nervously. "There's one more bit of business we need to take care of first, though." She shoots the Andalites a suspicious look. "Can you put us through to him? It's important."
"We've already become acquainted with Terenia," Zorish says dryly, barely noticing his use of the plural pronoun he usually avoids. "The human girl who also seems to be a Yeerk who everyone seems to think is my host's dead sister. Even unhosted she has already caused me a slew of problems." He gives Keshin a small smile, "My host is paranoid enough, without thinking that her sibling has risen from the grave."
<<I am not paranoid,>> Tamora says defensively.
<<No?>> Zorish asks. <<Delusional, perhaps? Teresa has been gone a long time.>>
<<Then how come everyone here seems to know about her?>>
Zorish ignores her point. It has been bothering him too, but the last thing he wants to do is admit to the possibility of Teresa being alive. Her death was the catalyst to Tamora's voluntary nature. He could not risk that.
"I apologize if anything I did hurt your trade, turelek," Zorish continues after a noticeable pause. "I assure you it was unintentional."
He glances across the table as a newcomer joins them. Human, or human-Controller at least, she is barely worth more than a glance. When the helpful Andalite walks up demanding human medicine, Zorish gives him a small smile. "A headache is hardly cause for alarm. Have you ensured that the human does not have a concussion?"
